  • "It's what kept me going. It also drove me crazy at times, but I think it is what kept me in the sport, kept me pushing " - Eva Goodisson, Professional Triathlete.

Eva represents New Zealand in Triathlon, currently gearing up for the Rome World Cup this Saturday Oct 5th.

Starting out as a competitive swimmer and seeing success as a teen, Eva took an opportunity to run D1 Track at UC Davis in California USA, and is now is bringing all her skills together as an elite triathlete.

Graduating in 2021, she went full throttle into her pro-athlete pursuit. It paid off when she got a spot as Reserve for the Commonwealth Games that same year, was introduced to the Elite Team, and propelled into competing on the world circuit. When a neural back injury came out of no where during a routine gym session just after her best placing, Eva began a tough two-year recovery journey which saw her strengthen her mind in ways never before anticipated.

2024 has seen her truly excel in her competitions already, and it is a gift to learn how she managed to navigate that time.

Some wisdom Eva took away from her time in California, was that a diverse life full with multiple areas of focus away from sport, made her a better athlete. Balance is key.
