Luke Fernandez’s story started like many stories do: while growing up in a single-parent household, he always looked for validation while trying to fit in. From a young age, he found comfort in food and, it didn't take long for the weight to pile on. As the numbers on the scale when up, his confidence and motivation went in the opposite direction. Inspired by his wife, he finally made a decision to change and lost over 140 lb and has managed to keep it off for over 12 years. His goal now is to motivate others to transform their lives through fitness so that they don’t have to go through the same trials and tribulations he did.
Today on the show we discuss Luke’s transformation in depth and chat about: what led to him gaining so much weight, how his childhood impacted his mental health, why he chose food to escape his problems, the steps he took to lose over 140 lb., how Luke transformed his mindset and his relationship with himself, a recent mental health scare and how he overcame that and much more.
