  • In this episode, we have a wonderful chat with Kim Lengling. Author of Paw Prints on the Couch, book one of a beautiful anthology series all about pets and how they enrich our lives.

As a veteran who lives with PTSD, she shares how her rescue dogs have helped her along her, at times, bumpy road mentally, which includes anxiety, depression, and sleepless nights.

Adopting a dog, or any animal, from a shelter is not only saving a precious soul but helping to soothe your own as well, and why adopting and not shopping is to her, the only way to find the perfect companion.

We can all be Nuggets of Hope in our small slice of the world. Adopting a pet is one way.

Paw Prints on The Couch was a No. 1 Top New Release on Amazon for the first few months after release.

  • Have you ever seen a service dog with its handler and wished you could take your dog everywhere with you too? Seems like a wonderful idea for all you dog lovers out there, right? Well... there is a difference between desiring to have your dog with you at all times and legitimately needing your service dog to help you with serious health issues, mobility issues, & navigating society with mental health conditions. Those dogs you see... They are highly trained and are providing a very specialized and incredibly important service. Or are they?

In this episode, we tackle the prevalent and very controversial problem with Fake Service Dogs. We discuss the uprising of scammers, grifters, and people who selfishly try to work "the system" for their own benefit, at the expense of those who legitimately need the help and support of these specialized dogs.

We also dive into the legalities and laws (or lack thereof) that have been put in place to try to protect legitimate handlers and their service dogs.

  • Last week we shared with you the idea of animals being our mirror and reflecting our internal state or energy. In this episode, we’ll dive more deeply into the reflective messages your pets may be telling/showing you & help you with understanding & interpreting them. We'll be discussing the five types of "mirrors" that may be at play between you and your animal... the Emotional Mirror, the Mental Mirror, the Energetic Mirror, the Physical Mirror and the Stability Mirror and how to become aware and move through any behavioral issues your animal may be displaying.

  • We all know that mirrors provide us with a reflection, but our pets also provide us with a reflection. The difference is that mirrors reflect back to us what is external - our face, our hair, our perceived physical flaws; our pets, however, reflect back to us what is internal - our stress, our anxiety, our anger, our intolerances, our excitement & joy, our calm, and even our internal physical state.

In this episode, we will explore this a bit more and about how your energetic relationships with your pets, can provide you with a pathway to understanding your animals and yourselves a bit better and provide you some tools to help you, help them, help you.

  • In this episode, we flip the script a bit. We typically talk about the importance of taking the time to train our pets but today... we talk about the importance of training OURSELVES to better support our pets. An untrained human can seriously, and in some cases, unknowingly negatively impact our animals lives by creating an environment filled with stress, fear, and anxiety.

Join us as we break this topic down to help you better understand what you can do in order to better support your animals. The more trained you become, the happier your animal will be and your relationship with them will become deeper.

  • In this episode, we ask the question... Does size matter? Now, Some of you might be snickering a bit with that question, but I’m sure you probably know that that’s not where we are going with this. Where we are going, is a discussion about how the size of our dogs & cats, whether they are purebreds or not, can have various effects on their physical health, behavior, and overall well-being. So what DO you need to know if you are considering larger breed? Join us as we break it all down for you.
