Today's episode was a powerful one for me. In my experience, we often project onto and "fill in the blanks" of people that remind us of those who have hurt us. For me, this podcast was about noticing how we often demand of others what we are unwilling to offer in the moment. Being around people that express themselves differently than us is challenging, however I see how it illuminates my blind spots and shows me how conditional I am with my love and respect. It also helps me see that this is my relationship with the world. I will only love and respect that which is like me, which is an "-ism" in my eyes akin to racism or sexism, only pertaining to personality instead of biology. Thank you for the medicine Aleks.
