This was not the thriller I saw in Manchester. This was a procession.
I was at the Bernabéu, reporting from before the game, at half-time, full-time and from the press conference.
I wonder when we will next see Pep Guardiola here, at the scene of some of his finest victories. I have a theory that might interest you…

Jude Bellingham is at a pivotal moment. His own competitive nature is boiling within him. The Madrid media – and his own club – are claiming the referees are out to get him. And the red mist is never too far away.

I want to tell you about ‘morbo’ in today’s broadcast. It’s tricky to define – think of a leering interest into a game where there’s far more than meets the eye.
Because today’s ‘Derbi de la Comunitat’ will be FILLED with morbo. Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral has coached BOTH Villarreal and Valencia, and has been sacked by BOTH clubs for very controversial reasons.

I’m in Manchester for the Champions League tonight, but I wanted to stop by Old Trafford to remember my good friend, Denis Law, on the day of his funeral.
Denis did extraordinary things for kids in Aberdeen, giving them facilities and opportunities to live better lives. He was a truly wonderful man.
Then it’s off to the Etihad, for a really exciting matchup. Madrid can score, that’s for sure – but are they up to the defensive task of keeping Haaland at bay?
Here are my thoughts….

At close of play tomorrow night, there will still be 45 points to play for. No titles are up for grabs just yet.
But, let me tell you this now: for both teams, a win tomorrow is VITAL. As Atlético prepare a title challenge, and Real set off to Manchester, it’s a make-or-break grudge match in the capital.

Don’t get me wrong – Marco Asensio is a SUPREMELY talented footballer. Creative, visionary and with a great eye for goal, he’s an asset to any manager.
But Unai Emery isn’t just *any* manager. His scrupulous tactical needs will demand that Asensio combines that magic spark of his with an attention to pressing and tracking back too. That didn’t go so well for Marco at PSG…

Cristiano has given me a fair few stories over the years.
On this his 40th birthday, I wanted to sit down and tell them to you, in celebration of his iconic career. From his early lessons with Sir Alex Ferguson, to the near STAMPEDE at his Real Madrid unveiling, it’s been quite the ride – and one I’ve been privileged to watch.
So grab a cup of tea, settle in, and I’ll take you with me on a trip round all things CR7.

Fancy a look at the nick of the Camp Nou? It’s RELEVANT! As I’ll explain, it’s to do with the Rolling Stones and UEFA. Then we’ll get on to the forces that might keep Barcelona from moving all in on Marcus Rashford before the close of this transfer window.

Wait. Before you compare, let me get one thing straight.
I’ve seen Thierry Henry at the ‘98 World Cup; I’ve seen him influence games at Juventus. But I’ve also followed Mbappé from the start of his journey. He’s had his critics at Real Madrid but, now that he is rested and adjusted, he is a force to be reckoned with.
I’ll tell you now: this is only the beginning of something truly special. Let me explain.
Have a look at this classic Milk Tray advert, too. My journey was just as thrilling, I promise: https://youtu.be/RqlfWfhNiqk?si=qkEB9jEZuHeE17QN

If PSG 4 Man City 2 grabbed your attention last night, then I forgive you. I was delighted for Luis ‘Lucho’ Enrique Martínez – the subject of my latest documentary with ZoomSport.
I was at the Bernabéu – and there’s much to talk about. The result might have been expected, but Real’s box-to-box speed was thrilling. But, shockingly, Carlo Ancelotti was ANGRY with his players! 😡
Here’s why.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Barcelona’s surge in the Champions League continues in a game that GENUINELY could have finished 9-8 to either time. I’ve never seen anything like it. And I’ve seen a lot.

Another Clasico? Don’t mind if I do.
But before we start salivating about the Supercopa final in Saudi, let’s talk Trent Alexander-Arnold. There are MANY reasons why his recruitment for summer 2025 will be one of Madrid’s key off-field objectives. Let me explain….

Joan Laporta, the Barcelona president, is currently staring down a no-confidence vote, and it’s a reasonable reflection of his club’s predicament. The registration fiasco around Dani Olmo is humiliating; the mismanagement of their stadium situation could be about to become catastrophic; and they can’t seem to win without their boy wonder. Here’s where they’re at as they prepare to take on Athletic Club in Saudi Arabia tonight.

There’s simply no club like Athletic Club. The self-imposed limit they place on recruitment should rule them out of contention, but they rise above it. Their stadium is a cathedral of football. And they appear to be Kryptonite to Barcelona in cup competitions. Here’s why you should tune in to their semi-final tomorrow.
