Snowboard movies and video parts have long been a cornerstone of snowboarding's culture. And as they say, the cream rises to the top. Rob McConnaughy, AKA "Whitey" is one of the few whose movies made it to the top. The brain behind Kingpin Productions, Whitey paved his own lane through snowboarding by creating his own films, in his own style. His filming was different, his music was different, the riders were different. And we loved every second of it. His masterpieces have lasted the test of time, still holding up today as some of the most iconic videos ever created. Kevin Backstrom is a style icon on and off the snowboard. Weāve got a big one today: Mark Sollors is in studio and let me just say heās a gem of a human. Hailing from Canada, Mark set his sights on being an absolute ATV on the snowboard. His street footage was absolutely insane and heās put that on the back burned to focus solely on backcountry. Itās a bit of a shame but then you watch some of his footage and youāre like actually this guys on to something here. His passion for style and flavor shines through in his riding and trick selection. Heās paving the way in finding new zones and prioritizes safety above all else in the back country. Benny Pellegrino knows what snowboarding is all about. His love for the culture bleeds through with every word he says. He comes from skating, with his roots well dispersed through the Bay Area in the early 80s.
