I'm back with Hannah Brown to talk about enoughness. How the personal development space wants people to always feel behind, like there's more to optimize and improve on instead of helping people be at peace with their quircks and flaws and not view life as a relentless pursuit of constant improvement. We also tie this into consumerism and how it's rooted in the same mindset of 'lack' and 'once I own this thing, then I'll feel happy' and how that cycle keeps us similarly trapped in never feeling like we are enough or have enough.

What happens after the baby comes? For many mothers in the U.S., the answer is: not much support. In this episode, I sit down with pelvic floor physical therapist Annie Hopkins to talk about the quiet crisis happening in postpartum care—and why so many moms are left to navigate healing, identity shifts, and physical recovery on their own.
We unpack the gaps in our medical system, the lack of federal paid leave, and why postpartum care often stops at six weeks (if it even starts). Annie brings both professional insight and deep compassion to this conversation, shedding light on what true care could and should look like for new mothers.
Whether you're a mom, planning to become one, or just someone who cares about how we treat women, this episode is for you.
Topics We Cover:
What pelvic floor physical therapy really is (and why it matters)
The six-week postpartum "cutoff" and its consequences
Cultural myths around bouncing back after birth
Why America’s policies fall short for mothers
How we can start building better systems of care

Feel like you've reached an income ceiling? Your next step is to raise your rates or find a bunch of new clients (despite your already jam-packed schedule), right? Not so fast. You actually need to do this first in order for any new clients or rate increase to make a lasting difference.

A body-led approach to tuning in before training hard.
Most workouts start with a plan.
Mine start with a pause. Before the warm-up. Before the programming. Before the playlists hit or the reps begin.
I carve out 5-15 minutes for what I call: the warm-up before the warm-up.It’s unstructured, agenda-free movement time. A chance to get quiet, grounded, and centered before diving in. It’s less about prepping my muscles, and more about syncing my body and brain.

Hannah and I talk about mommy bloggers, specifically the Ruby Franke story.
Hannah read the book written by her daughter, Shari Franke, called The House of My Mother & we both watched the Hulu documentary all about Ruby Franke, the YouTube Mommy vlogger sensation who's now in prison for child abuse fueled by religious delusion.
Hannah and I also weigh in on our opinions on the Economic Blackout Dates- do they work? Do they matter? Is there anything else we can be doing instead?
