Happy full moon in Cancer, friends. These are fierce and tender times indeed.
In this episode, I had the immense pleasure of chatting with Ell, the Aquarius (she/they) about the many intersections between capitalism, neurodivergence, sex work, and business ownership. Ell is a visionary artist and astrologer, and brought so much delightful nuance and insight to the conversation. We discuss the nuances of identifying as anti-capitalist, âcharging your worth,â and existing in the liminal spaces which are abundantly available to sex workers of all kinds.
Is sex work inherently anti-capitalist? What do you think?
We also respond to our anonymous listener submission:
I am a queer, nonbinary, disabled, autistic, and ADHD riddled adult. I am a self taught digital artist, and pre-current chronic illnesses, I had a successful Etsy shop that sold stationery and stickers. I no longer have the spoons to run my shop (packing orders, social media, etc.). I have no idea how to become an artist for hire, or translate these skills into something else. How would you recommend a disabled and neurodivergent person like myself find opportunities as an artist?
This was an exchange I truly treasure for its openness and honesty, and for Ellâs wonderful intelligence & compassion which come through so clearly in her words and advice. I know you will be inspired to go out and connect with the world around you in some creative capacity after you hear this.

Happy New Yearâs Eve, dear friends. In the final Cosmic Co-Op episode of 2024, I had the immense pleasure and privilege to sit down and chat with Siobhan Diores of Soft Power to unpack the messy and liberating path of people emerging as radical leaders. Along the way, we get into some big questions, like what does it mean to be a student of change? Not just the comfortable, Instagrammable kind that gets you pats on the back, but uncomfortable, unpopular, deeply activating change?
We also explore how creativity serves as both a balm and a battering ram by carving out space for authenticity and community in a system that thrives on disconnection. Siobhan shares her journey from witchy birth doula to co-founder of a church rooted in care, creativity, connection, and change. Along the way, we talk about portals, spirit babies, and the nuanced realities of reproductive choices, radical leadership, and interpersonal accountability.
The new moon in Capricorn is a tender chapter-marker as we close out another calendar year and are inevitably pulled to personal reflection and forward thinking, and this episode is as much about the personal as it is about the collective. Itâs about how we make decisions when the stakes feel impossibly high, and how we can shift the narrative of what it means to live intentionally within a system that asks us to choose survival over selfhood.
And because this podcast thrives on community, Iâm also weaving in a listener submission that asks a beautifully tender question about moving between safety and risk, stability and growth:
âI am torn between two goals, it seems. On one hand I want to move somewhere that is a bit more queer friendly with great public transport, so that at least my and my family's quality of life can be improved. However, I feel that this move could draw me away from nature and from my craft which is herbalism based in many ways. I don't know how I would relate to nature in a bigger city, but on the other hand, I am so weary of living where I grew up in a suburban hellscape that is only traversable by car. When I speak to my family about wanting to move to Chicago, they feel it comes out of nowhere and doesn't fit my personality, but I am starting to wonder if I have just been self isolating my true desires out of a need to feel stable or secure in my relationships and maybe being a bit afraid of such a huge change? Anyway, I wonder how one prepares financially and spirituality for such a big change when they are still feeling unsure of its wisdom and alignment?â
Take care of yourself as you listenâthis episode touches on themes of abortion and interpersonal abuse.

In this episode, I share some of my thoughts on the gatekeeping of anti-capitalist rhetoric and education, bitch about caffeine withdrawals during Mercury retrograde, and have a ferociously fantastic conversation with Andrea Webb (she/they) of Every Light Wellness.
Like most of my guests, Andi has been an internet mutual of mine for several years. The jig is up: this podcast is actually just a way for me to trick my favorite people into talking with me for an hour and letting me brag about them to the world.
Andrea is a malefic sorcerer, embodying the spirits of Saturn and Mars with so much grit and heart, who describes themself as, amongst other things, a flower essence which is âindicated for difficult and violent shifts in life; allows us to shed our skin without taking the flesh and bone with it. Moving from one âphaseâ to another with grace instead of trauma. A supple spine and open hands.â
And I truly donât think I could say it any better myself. It is a privilege to share her with you, and I hope this exchange ignites something underneath your ass, because it certainly did for me.
This weekâs listener submission:
Does owning my own (currently solo) business in the 21st century really make me petite bourgeoisie? How might small biz owners now differ from small biz owners in the time that phrase was coined? Can we really wield our small power differently?

In this episode, I have a juicy conversation with my fellow Libra rising and astro baddie, Neha Jha. Neha is a board-certified master life & success coach, hypnotherapist, EFT tapping practitioner & Reiki master who blends astrology, Human Design, and meditation teachings to lead her students to their most authentic, fully realized selves.
We talk about a wide range of topics, from the deep darkness of the moon in Scorpio to attachment theory to the reality of living in the American South. I loved learning even more about Nehaâs journey as an anti-capitalist business owner and spiritual jack of all trades, and I know you will, too.

The Cosmic Co-Op is not just a podcast; itâs a collection of transmissions from the cosmos, each centered around the question: what does it truly mean to be anti-capitalist?
Weâll be discussing a myriad of topics, ranging from astrology to entrepreneurship to neurodivergence to parenting to magic, including the many overlaps in between, as well as the astronomical ripple effects of existing under late-stage capitalism.
As comrades in the cosmos, the Cosmic Co-Op is a place for relentless curiosity, radical honesty, and a collaborative spirit; each episode features a galactic transmission (aka 100% anonymous submission) from one or more co-op members. Have some thoughts on capitalism to process, a question you want answered, or a financial confession you just need to get off your chest? You can find the submission form here.
Episodes will be released every full and new moon, but paid Substack subscribers can access them 3 days early. You can expect an astrological mission log each episodeâa radical missive from the stars, written to light your path as we probe new worlds together.
For our very first episode, Iâll be chatting a bit about Plutoâs latest and final ingress to Aquarius, where he shall remain until 2043, and what this could mean regarding shifts in American and global economics. Then, youâll get to hear me chat with our inaugural guest, Stella Gold of My Gold Standard.
Stella is a queer & nonbinary rebirth & wealth coach who focuses on empowering queer, trans, and BIPOC folks toward personal financial liberation through a trauma-informed lens. They are a certified Trauma of Money practitioner and self-proclaimed âwealth activistâ who has been helping folks redefine wealth for over 7 years, and they have been an internet mutual of mine for the last handful of years.
We had a fantastic conversation about addressing financial shame, the sacred motivating force that is anger, whether or not âhuman natureâ exists, and we tackle a contentious, yet commonly asked question: does building wealth in late-stage capitalism make you a capitalist?
You know, light brunch topics.
Stella is a wellspring of warmth and expertise and real-life experience, and Iâm so honored to have the chance to share a slice of their greatness, in the form of this exchange. I know youâll be touched by their grounded and anti-capitalist approach to financial liberation.
