Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, Cody decided to let his brother Justin play a session with us. Felicia, Matthew, and I were like, āYeah! A fourth player! We could use the help!ā. An hour later, we find our three heroes falling to their death down a well with kobolds waiting because Justin decided to be an enemy! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes pressed on through the smokey hot cave. Our party found a strange dwarf tirelessly attempting and failing to craft a weapon at a forge. He seemed to pay the group no mind until Rootmoore tried to get his attention in the dwarven language. The strange dwarf then became hostile, using supernatural powers to fill the room with hot smoke and steam, nearly killing our party! Our heroes decided to cut their losses and flee. The crazy dwarf seemed like he was in a trance, and went back to work on the forge. After licking their wounds, the party decided to go down the well after a night's rest. Scarab then had a nightmare where many people and his friends were held captive by the kobold king himself! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes began stumbling through a hot smokey cave. Leading the way, Scarab bumped into a hell hound! The beast immediately let out a breath of fire nearly killing Scarab. Monet and Rootmoore took action and eventually killed the hell hound. The group then pushed forward through the cave and they started to hear strange clanging and rocks crumbling. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes departed from Falconās Hollow and headed back down into Droskarās Crag. Rootmoore started feeling sick, and learned that he contracted Filth Fever from the rats they encountered a thousand episodes ago. The party decided to go into the steam filled room and were then set upon by electric lizards. After exterminating them, the group pushed forward to find a large room lined with dwarven statues. Our heroes found text saying followers of Droskar won a significant battle, but then learned that it was false. The party then decided to head east into the narrow cave. The hot smoky cave prevented Scarab from seeing a beast right in front of him. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes recovered from a brutal siege by the True Scales. They decided to head back to Falconās Hollow, safely escorting the missing hunter and Edgrin, along with two kobold prisoners. Our group immediately arrived at the sheriffās office and ran into the imposing Payday, who was taunting Sheriff Belsin. Even though having Edgrin as a witness and the kobold prisoners as evidence, it was not enough for Payday, who still wants to see the butcher returned. Realizing that they can't win with Payday, the heroes started making a plan with Sheriff Belsin to infiltrate the Creed Manor. After guiding the hunter to the town cleric, the party checked in to The Sitting Duck for the night. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes continued to fight for their lives in the crypt. The attacking kobolds continued to throw gas bombs, and then started to push in with mobile barricades. The heroes were starting to lose hope, but then Scarab made a daring move to leap over the palisades on Tricky, and execute the leader with a point blank shot! Rootmoore was able to commandeer a palacade while Monet continued throwing around the summoned whirling grindstone. Bit by bit, the smoke dissolved and the group was victorious. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes decided to sleep in the crypt after saving the missing hunter Barlis. Resting behind a stone door with additional security with Monetās padlock seemed like a good idea at the time. Everyone was then awakened by Kobolds using pickaxes to tear down the door. Our heroes began fighting for their lives, trapped like rats. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes tussled with a shadow creature. Rootmoore was hit with a horrible attack that left him physically weakened with Enfeebled 4. His own shadow then pulled itself away and became another adversary! The situation started to look bleak, with Monet and Edwin Singsong also taking massive hits. Following his instructions, Ed ran from the encounter, and Scarab started to chase after him. Finally, Rootmoore was able to take down the last shadow with Divine Lance. Our Story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes recovered from the mechanical anvil battle. They found a dwarven corpse in the room with a mysterious magical gauntlet, and Monet tried it on. She immediately felt a sharp pain and her hand was forced into a permanent fist, everyone learned that the gauntlet was powerful but also cursed. Our party moved into the next room to discover that it is a place for communicating to different areas around the underground forge. Rootmoore listened to a speaker hole and heard a frightened man deep in prayer, the missing hunter from the first episode! The group decided to make haste towards him, but they were attacked by a shadow creature in the room! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes ran into a group of kobold defectors rallying against the Kobold King, and wanting to join Lorkin, a vampire god. Scarab was able to get the location of the Kobold King from the cult leader and avoid bloodshed with a natural 20 diplomacy! The group kept moving and they found a room with sounds of someone weeping on the inside. They walked in to find no one initially, but Monet looked under a bed to find a sobbing homunculus that immediately attacked! After disposing of the pathetic creature, its spirit seemed to possess a mechanical anvil which then attacked and almost killed poor Edward Songfoot! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes murdered the dwarven ghouls. In the room with the ghouls, they found bones and remains of animals locked in a cell. Scarab recognized one of them to be his missing pig that disappeared with his cart. He then turned to āPigā and realized there was a connection between the two of them. Scarab then named āPigā Tricky. Plowing ahead with their new halfling companion Eggard Moonrain, the group caught up with the purple kobold as he was descending deeper into the labyrinth. After Monet and Tricky shoved some kobolds down the deep shaft to their death, Scarab and Rootmoore jammed the lift so that nothing below could ascend to the surface. Our heroes then reached level 4! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes defeated a group of kobolds and managed to keep one alive for questioning. In the next room, a timid voice called out to them. After investigating, they found a halfling named Edgar Singsong who had been a captive along with others that tried to escape. The team learns from Eddard Raingail that the others are the missing hunter that the sheriff is looking for, and the town butcher! Our heroes then bind and barricade their kobold captive in a kitchen and decide to press forward. They heard a blood curdling shriek from another room, and to their horror, it was a kobold being eaten alive by dwarven ghouls! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes finally found the remains of Druingar the Glintaxe, his bones and equipment suspended in the jelly cube. The group decided to head back to Falconās Hollow for a much needed rest, and to inform the Sheriff of their find. Monet then has a dream about her time working in the Absalom library, and recalls an old wizard reading about Druingar. The next day our heroes returned to the depths of Droskarās Crucible and murdered more Kobolds! Rootmoore was able to knock the leader unconscious, and shortly after they heard a voice in the next room call out to everyone. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes decide to explore a different part of the underground forge, leaving the electric trap room for another time. They head east and find living quarters. They find the room occupied by a skeletal dwarven spirit, and Rootmoore casted a Heal spell on it to lay the spirit to rest. The spirit was unfazed, and Monet learned that it was actually a gelatinous cube as her and Rootmoore became engulfed by it. Monet was able to escape its grasp, but Rootmoore was still stuck and suffocating inside the jelly. With a few big hits from Pig and well aimed shots by Scarab, the jelly was destroyed and Rootmoore was saved. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our party searched north of the forge, following the retreating koboldās tracks. The heroes ran into a group of large rats feasting on a corpse in the hallway. After dispatching the rats, they inspected the body, and it was missing itās head. A note was found on the body, and it spoke of a servant of the Dark Smith prowling the halls, and the note slowly fell into madness. Moving north, Monet and Rootmoore became trapped in a circular room with an electric-magnetic device. The device started activating, and Monet saved Rootmoore by tossing him out of the room. At the same time, two other doors opened, and flying dismembered heads emerged and set upon Monet. The trap room kept activating and the flying heads kept attacking, but Monet stood firm. Finally the doors opened and Monet was able to escape the room. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes traverse down the stairwell that was guarded by the worg. They immediately ran into a group of kobolds collecting obsidian rocks. After a short fight, two of the kobolds fled in different directions. The party followed one of them to the east and found a large forge. While Rootmoore was grilling a hot dog in the fire, a large leech-like worm emerged from the ceiling and attacked. After that, our heroes reached level 3! Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes arrived at Falconās Hollow with the head of the worg. After speaking to the sheriff and earning a free night at the Sitting Duck, they bed down for much needed rest. Scarab is then awakened by an angry mob of townsfolk busting through his door and stealing him from his bed! The mob drag him outside while Monet and Rootmoore do their best to free him. Scarab is then tied to a stake and is about to be burned alive, being accused of murdering the town butcher! Payday approached and saw himself as judge and jury, and seemed to enjoy it. Monet was seeing red and Rootmoore lied to cover Scarab. Sheriff Belsin then stepped forward and offered his life if the party does not find proof that Scarab is innocent. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes find out that the squid creatures are from the shadow plane, and so is Monet. The group then heads into the room where the Colonel was killed. Acting with haste, they forgot that the worg is known for setting traps. Rootmore and Monet get slammed by an axe trap as they enter, and the beast emerged from the shadows behind them. Scarab quickly throws a readied junk bomb at the worg, and the damage was massive, nearly killing it with one blow. The weakened blinded creature then took a hit from Rootmoore, and finished itself off by critically failing an attack and biting itās own arm off! Our heroes then decide to head back to Falconās Hollow, this time with the beastās head. Our story continues now!

Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes continue exploring the forgotten crucible. One of the rooms was inhabited by a lone kobold. After a plethora of obscenities between him and Scarab, the kobold was allowed to escape. They find a library, and most of the books were covered in phantom mold. Monet was able to find an untainted book filled with hymns for Torag. Inside was a scroll of spiritual weapon! Afterwards the party was attacked by strange octopus-squid-like creatures. Before they could investigate why and what they were after killing them, the two wolves approached. The newly formed party easily dispatched the wolves. After that, Rootmore placed a gem into the slot on an anvil, and for a moment it summoned a congregation of dwarven spirits worshiping Torag. Our story continues now!
