Well, here it is.. The third and final installment in the Mystery Hominid series. The thrilling conclusion.
Is there a mystery hominid living on this continent? Your guess is as good as ours.
Is the idea as far fetched as it seems? It turns out that it is not that crazy after all and while we cant say for sure if there is any hominids living here currently, there actually should be, and that adds a whole other fascinating layer to this whole Yowie myth.

The illusive Hairy Man of Australia, commonly referred to as the Yowie, is a relic of colonial European superstition that although rarely spoken about has somehow left a cultural imprint on the entire country. An imprint so strong that every now and then when someone goes too deep into the bush they make the foolish error of confusing a Kangaroo hopping past as being a giant hairy half man, half ape-like monster. This silly mistake manages to keep happening again and again over the course of the last 200 years.
This concoction of the colonial mind is so potent that it is claimed to retrospectively appear in Aboriginal cultural stories from all over the country.
At least that's what the experts tell us. So let's do what we do and have a very thorough look at it.

So in this episode we welcome Daniel Morrison, not as a guest this time but as the new permanent addition to the podcast. I seized on this opportunity to recap and elaborate on everything we have learned so far in this long running deep dive.
There is a common thread between pretty much everything we have looked at on this podcast, yet they've barely been mentioned. Not just because the detail is always obscured, but because they're very hard to talk about and despite being a sovereign nation state there is very little detail on their activities.
This podcast looks at their influence and connections, from fighting Islam, to seeding UFO myths, to a certain influential New Age cult and back to fighting Islam again.

This episode looks at the I Am Movement, an offshoot of Theosophy which was founded in 1930s America. This movement was created by Guy Ballard and his wife, Edna.
I AM is said to have been the first UFO religion and despite it's legal and public relations difficulties the movement has been successful and has inspired many subsequent movements that continue to gain strength today. Including QAnon and the Libertarian movement.
Through the course of this episode we learn that the story underpinning I AM was actually re-purposed by Guy and Edna Ballard, originally coming from William Dudley Pelley, also known as 'America's Hitler' and the leader of the American Nazi-aligned group The Silver Shirts, of which Guy and Edna Ballard were a part of. -
