How many stem cells do you actually need to get the results you want from stem cell therapy? The answer might surprise you.
Unlike many other treatments, more is not always better with stem cell therapy.
Many people go outside of the US looking to get injected with hundreds of millions of stem cells at a lower price—what they don’t know is that those treatments might not yield them the results they’re looking for.
This is exactly what I discuss in this week’s episode of The Dr. Joy Kong Podcast. Listen in as I talk about the different stem cell sources (and which ones are best for you), the optimal stem cell dosage for great results, why I don’t use expanded stem cells in my clinic, and so much more.
Are you ready?
Let’s dive in.
Key Takeaways:
Introduction (00:00)
Let’s talk about stem cell sources (01:45)
The best types of stem cells (07:53)
More isn’t always better (13:27)
Where are you putting the cells? (14:43)

Autism numbers have been rising at an alarming rate all over the world. The numbers are even bleaker in the US, where 1 out of every 36 children is diagnosed with autism.
These rates are even scarier knowing that Western medicine and psychiatry has no treatment for autism, choosing instead to focus on symptoms instead of the root cause.
However, it’s not all hopeless! Research has shown that stem cell therapy can actually help with autism treatment; stem cells, particularly from umbilical cord blood, can address multiple underlying mechanisms of autism, including inflammation and oxidative stress.
And this is only the beginning, as stem cell research is still in its infancy.
Though still in early stages, stem cell therapy can offer hope for people suffering from autism and holds immense potential for helping with autism and improving lives, which offers a new path forward beyond the traditional treatments.
I discuss all of this in more detail in this week’s episode of The Dr. Joy Kong Podcast, so make sure to give it a listen.
Well then, what are you waiting for?

Are more stem cells always better? This is the question I aim to answer in this week’s episode of The Dr. Joy Kong Podcast.
So many of you have asked me what I think about expanded stem cells and if they work better than native ones.
Many patients come to me with a common misconception: More stem cells = Better results. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
In fact, various studies have shown that culturing and expanding stem cells can lead to genetic alterations, reduced effectiveness, and even dangerous side effects.
Listen in as I break all of this down for you and discuss the big differences between expanded and unexpanded stem cells and why I think you should always go with the latter if you can.
Are you ready?

Have you ever wondered if western medicine was holding us all back? What could we do if we weren’t beholden to pharmaceutical companies and insurance systems? Would we be able to give better treatments; not simply help patients manage symptoms, but help them treat the root causes of their issues?
If you’ve ever asked yourself these questions, then I want you to know you’re not alone.
Many people in the medical industry find themselves limited by how disease-oriented the healthcare system is.
Instead of healthcare professionals being able to be wellness-focused, they are unprepared to help patients maintain their health, only focusing on treating their symptoms instead.

Together, he and I will be discussing the limitations of traditional western medicine, stem cell therapy’s huge potential, why I am actively advocating for a shift towards regenerative medicine, and more.
