Helps engage the rational part of the brain, breaking the cycle of impulsive, limbic-driven responses.
Flash Forward to Flashback
Reflect on past instances of indulging in habits to recall negative consequences.
Use these memories to inform present decisions and visualize a better future.
Neuroplasticity in Action
Repeated thoughts and actions create neural pathways that make behaviors automatic.
Breaking old habits and forming new ones require intentional effort to "rewire" the brain.
Spiritual Foundations
Scripture highlights the importance of transforming the mind to change behaviors (Romans 12:2).
God provides opportunities to resist temptation, offering hope for lasting change.
Quotes from the Episode

Surgical Training is Hard, But It's Crucial to Safe Practice
Today, a look back at something called a "Surgical Approach," and why knowing multiple approaches is so important.
This has everything to do with learning and practicing self-brain surgery too! Surgeons who only know one approach get stuck, and sometimes cannot complete an operation safely. Choosing the right approach makes all the difference, and this episode will help you learn the approaches to your own life and self-brain surgery practice that will help you keep moving forward!

It's Mind Change Monday!
Today, a talk about whether we're stuck with our feelings, diagnoses, or past traumas, or not. Am I just a skin sack of neurons? Or I am I fearfully and wonderfully made? What if we actually have a tremendous amount of control over these things? The good news is, we do! How we think changes how we live, even if we've been through TBI, TMT, or any other type of problem. No diagnosis is more powerful than the incredible smashing together of your brain, mind, and spirit. Why? Because you have a Great Physician, my friend.
Scripture: II Timothy 1:7
