Somehow, this random book I found out of nowhere has become the most challenging and fun book so far of the whole season. By telling the story of the Group Theatre it has drama, advice, and history that provides millions of talking points. Perfect for the podcast.

The Moving Body looks at Jacques Lecoq, a french acting teacher who focused mainly on the physical elements of acting. We discuss his school's teachings as well as his philosophies on how to teach acting and how to be an observer of the world. A shoutout to the Evan Mitchell at the Governor's School of North Carolina for first recommending this book to me.

The Actor's Life by Jenna Fischer is an amazingly useful handbook for the modern-day actor. She hilariously dives into all of the tips and tricks necessary to be an actor today. Along with that, she also talks in-depth as to some of the life philosophy an actor should have to survive. The latter is what I mostly talk about in this episode of The Drama Bookclub.
