Plan Your Year Workshop: https://thefierceframework.myflodesk.com/workshop
Takeaways:
Take time to rest because we could all use a break this time of year, and sometimes it takes slowing down to gain perspective and reflect so you can realign for the next season.
Reflecting can help us gain insight and clarity for where weâre headed next.
Your yearly reflection can look however you want. Journaling works for a lot of people, but you can also have a conversation with your partner, bestie, or mom. Maybe reviewing your Spotify wrapped, photo album, or instagram stories is more your speed.
Ask yourself: What did I learn? What made me feel alive? What brought me joy and purpose?
Be intentional about what you want to take with you into 2025 and what you want to leave behind. Itâs easy to get into a routine and just stay there without really considering if itâs still working for you.
Before setting any more goals, Celebrate your wins! (Too often we gloss over our wins and move onto the next without acknowledging all we've accomplished)

Takeaways:
Boundaries are especially important during the holiday season, and theyâre not just for bad things. Itâs okay to have boundaries for âtoo much of a good thingâ.
Rest is important during this time of year. I know itâs easy to let self-care slip when things get busy, but itâs even more important to take care of yourself when you have a ton going on!
Iâm a huge advocate for doing less, but itâs also important to remember to make room for what you want to do. Identify a couple of things that bring you joy and prioritize them this season.

There are a couple of questions that have been so powerful in helping me make my business more sustainable: 1) How can it be fun? 2) How can I make it easy?Takeaways: - How can I make sure the things that donât have to be hard arenât harder than they need to be? - You only fail when you quit trying, so what can you do to make it easier to not give up? - When you donât realize that youâre allowed to do something differently than how you thought it was supposed to be, then you donât always realize you have the choice to do something differently, but you do. You are enough now and youâre growing and learning at the same time.
Why are we allowing these beliefs to become barriers? Why are we allowing these beliefs to become blocks? And what are they blocking us from?
Sometimes what youâre waiting on is you.
Why do we hold ourselves to an unrealistic expectation of perfection when everyone else is allowed to be human?
You canât expect to go through life and not come across a pile of shit every now and then. - Amickoleh

Takeaways:
Start small and take baby steps. You donât have to go from 0 to 100 all at once.
Practice in a safe space as much as you can.
Find a support system. Most importantly, make sure youâre part of your support system. Build yourself up instead of tearing yourself down.
Take the time to identify the reason why itâs important for you to do the hard thing. Hang on to that reason and that purpose when things get tough!

Takeaways:
Confidence is like a muscle - you build it by exercising it. Feeling confident is more like the endorphins after the workout - Itâs the result of practicing confidence.
We grow confidence by building up the courage to take the action, taking the action, that action is the proof that you can do hard things, which builds confidence.
You donât have to wait to feel confident before doing the thing.

Takeaways:
Showing up as your authentic self to contribute your gifts to the world requires the confidence to show up.
Confidence is a muscle. It grows and builds as you develop and work on it.
If your goal of being confident is to not feel uncomfortable or insecure or anxious. Thatâs not confidence â thatâs comfort.
Misconception: Confidence - you just have it or you donât.
Reframe: We start confident and are taught to doubt ourselves. So, we can re-build confidence.
Misconception: confidence is never feeling insecure or uncomfortable
Reframe: Confidence is more than a feeling. Confidence is trusting yourself. Itâs a belief that you can rely on yourself.
Misconception: Confidence is âIDGAFâ energy.
Reframe: Confidence isnât about other people. Itâs about devoting your focus, time, and energy towards your values and priorities.

Takeaways:
Romanticizing your life is about believing in yourself, believing you are worthy of being cared for, and giving yourself space to be creative and tap into your talents to have the impact you want to have.
Romanticizing can help motivate you to do things you need, but donât feel like doing. It can help make taking care of yourself feel good.
We are not our best selves in survival mode.
Youâre able to give differently, when youâre giving from an overflow instead of your last couple of drops.
You are worthy of luxuriating, of creating a life that you want to sink into.

Takeaways:
Romanticizing your life is Self-care + Mindfulness.
Self care is all about taking care of your current self and setting your future self up for success.
You donât have to earn rest. (emphasis on the period)
Scheduling a self-care âeventâ such as brunch with friends, a massage, a pedicure, etc. can be a helpful first step to create the routing of romanticizing your life.
Take time to notice what you need because you donât always need the same thing. Because youâre human and your needs fluctuate. And thatâs okay.
Romanticizing can help you want to do the things to take care of you.

Takeaways:
You are rare and valuable. You have something unique and valuable to offer the world that only you can give.
Youâre never going to be as good at being someone else as you could be at being the best version of yourself.
Your worth is not tied to other people. What someone thinks or feels about you has no impact on your value.
When you start standing up and standing out, and then people start trying to tear you back down, remember Itâs not about you. So much negative input is projection.
Dimming your light doesnât make anyone elseâs light brighter, it just makes the room dark.
-
Takeaways:
We often experience tension between short term comfort and long term goals in the sense that what we want to do in the moment doesnât always align with where we want to be headed in our lives.
Being intentional is huge because the journey of our lives is made up by the small steps taken day after day, hour after hour.
Identifying baby steps that can be taken when you have energy and capacity to âbe productiveâ can be powerful tools to help you make progress.
Setting up defaults for when youâre ready to be productive can help set you up for success.

Welcome to the second half of my interview with my first guest on the show, my friend Megs Crawford! Megs is a professional organizer with ADHD, a podcaster, a speaker, and an ADHD coach. One of her superpowers is helping people believe in themselves. We talk about how she got into organizing and made it her business.
This is a two-part interview, so check out last weekâs episode if you havenât listened to the first part yet. A few of my favorite takeaways from this conversation with Megs are:
Having a support system is a game-changer! Itâs so important to have people in your corner.
Taking action and making mistakes is what helps you gain clarity on what you want to do.
What is one thing you can do today thatâs going to get you closer to your dream?
Ambiguity is the cause of procrastination. So the more we can clarify the parameters of what we need to do, and break things into tasks, the easier it is to take the action in baby steps.
Discomfort and mistakes along the way are lessons on how we can change our path to me more in alignment with our values and what we want our lives to look like.
Make sure to follow Megs for content about believing in yourself, using ADHD as a superpower, and taking control through organization: â https://linktr.ee/mindfulmegsâ

Iâm so excited to introduce my first guest on the show, my friend Megs Crawford!
As a professional organizer with ADHD, Megs understands the unique challenges and untapped brilliance of the ADHD brain. She's passionate about helping others with ADHD cultivate organized spaces that foster peace and ignite creativity. Beyond physical and digital organization, Megs is an ADHD coach and does digital decluttering sessions via zoom for clients with a focus on the power of self-belief â a core principle for thriving with ADHD.
Megs is also a speaker, sharing her message of how ADHD can be a superpower when understood and embraced. When not organizing, you can find her with her two daughters, beloved pets, and supportive husband. She finds joy in yoga, singing, and coloring, reflecting her ongoing commitment to personal growth.
A few of my favorite takeaways from this conversation with Megs are:
Having a coach can be a game changer because they can expedite your journal and help you understand thereâs another way of being.
The people you love and everyone around you gets to benefit from you being selfish.
Change takes practice. Once you decide you want to make a change, give yourself grace while you practice learning new habits and building new neural pathways.
Just because you canât see the stars the first time you look for them doesnât mean you should stop looking.
This is a two-part interview, so stay tuned for the other half next week! Also, make sure youâre following Megs for awesome content around ADHD, organization, and believing in yourself.

Takeaways:
Boundaries are important to protect your time, energy, and capacity to ensure youâre able to make progress towards your goals and priorities.
Focusing on what your boundary is helping you say âyesâ to, instead of ânoâ to, can be a helpful way to empower you to set boundaries, and also help people get on board with protecting your boundaries.
Becoming is a journey. Itâs a process. It takes time, effort, and repetition.
Failure and challenges are an intrinsic part of the road to success. They are not accidents or detours along the way - theyâre part of it.
What is a boundary that can help you carve out what you need to take a baby step towards your goal each week?
-
Grab your vino 'cause we're talking about how we're not supposed to be bad at things anymore and why we need to let ourselves be beginners anyway.
Baby steps are the way to become the person you want to be.
We're talking about anxiety, fear of failure, and running away from potential.
You have to start at the beginning. Take the first step, and it'll lead to the next step.
When you fail or make a mistake, youâre learning.
Take those baby steps and let yourself suck.
-
It is so common, when youâre chasing a dream or trying something new, to get to a point where you start to question whether the results youâre seeing are worth the effort youâre putting in. Pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into something then feeling like you have little or nothing to show for it can be incredibly disheartening. Firstly, youâre not alone. Secondly, solidifying the reason youâre doing what youâre doing can be a lighthouse in those situations where you feel lost at sea. So letâs talk about why you need a âwhyâ.
Takeaways:
Ask yourself why youâre doing what youâre doing. Then ask again. Keep drilling down until you get to the core, deepest, most meaningful reason for doing something.
When you feel lost at sea, wondering if itâs worth it to keep going toward your goal, or if you should turn around and try to find the land you left, your Why can be like a lighthouse guiding you through the storm and encouraging you to keep going.
âSelfishâ Whys are totally valid. Also, thereâs a 99% chance your selfish Why doesnât only benefit you.
âDonât ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.â - Howard Thurman
âIn a world full of turmoil, remember that joy is an act of resistance!â - Audre Lorde
