All the major motorsports championships around the world are closing in on their finals rounds, and all are trimming the contenders. Supercars and MotoGP are down to two, F1 is also maybe two but that is a stretch, and NASCAR still has eight⊠but only for one more week.
So how did it all happen?
We debrief Supercars on the Gold Coast and wins to Cam Waters and Brodie Kostecki, but a shocker to Chaz Mostert has left that title fight down to only Triple Eight teammates Will Brown and Broc Feeney with one round remaining. Waters said he wanted to be a nuisance, and he was.
Lando Norris and Max Verstappen clashed again in F1, and this time the powers that be ruled a line in the sand under Verstappenâs petulant behaviour and driving standards and the F1 drivers told the flawed Dutchman they are over itâŠ
Weâre loving the NASCAR Playoffs and canât wait for the cut throat Supercars Finals next year, but what would have happened if the series was using our Finals system as proposed weeks ago? Hint â Chaz is out of the running, but Brodie ainât.

It is episode 42 for this year, which means we need toexplore a little of life, the universe and everything. But weâll start with the Ferrari one-two in Austin, Texas, and talk a little bit about the bullshit penalty handed out to Lando Norris for being forced off the track by an out-of-control Max Verstappen â we tend to think heâs not out of talent; however, his race craft is pretty poor for a three-time world champion. Although he can winge betterthan most Poms.
We chat briefly about MotoGP and the stunning ride by young Aussie Senna Agius in Moto2 â our next motorcycle racing hero.
Then things get heated when Bruce tries to defend this yearâs Bathurst 1000 and 'drive as fast as you can' as a strategy, which PG and Andrew didnât think was a strategy. Then we peeled him off the roof and closedthe show.

Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood dominated the 2024 Bathurst 1000 in the #1 Chiko Camaro. Kostecki was back to his brilliant best, and Hazelwood was the best of the co-drivers.
Red Bull Ampol Racing filled the minor spots on the podium in the fastest ever Bathurst 1000, with only one Safety Car at a convenient, for some, 29 laps from home - or one full tank of fuel.
Plenty of other stuff went down too.

Lando Norris has asked for the Jaws music after dominating the Singapore Grand Prix and closing the gap to Max Verstappen to only a fraction more than two race wins. The title hunt is alive, and with Oscar Piastri ready to take points off the reigning champ, it may only be a matter of races before Norris snatches the lead in the drivers' title, just as McLaren did to the constructors' championship last week⊠which is just as well, because there are only six races left now.
We look at the impressive young Argentinian Franco Colapinto while reflecting on Daniel Ricciardo, who may have just driven his final Grand Prix⊠much to our disgust.

It is a news story more than 20 years in the making, but the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, as opposed to the manufacturer of the largest vehicles in the world, has signed up to go Supercars racing. Toyota joins Australiaâs largest motor racing series in 2026 with Walkinshaw Andretti United and one other yet-to-be-identified team for at least five seasons.
