Meet James Wanyoike – a talented music producer behind popular Kikuyu gospel songs like Munduiriri by Carol Wanjiru and Materetha by Jane Muthoni.
James has worked with many well-known Kikuyu gospel artists, including Philip Kimani, N.D. Githuka, Paul Waiganjo, Loise Kim, Jane Muthoni, and Francis Kogii. Later on, he started singing his own songs like Ndiare Mwega and Ndigokua.
With the support of a close friend, James managed to move his family to the UK, although it wasn’t easy. He struggled to provide for them and even faced issues for moving houses without informing the authorities.
In today’s interview, we learn more about James Wanyoike, his career path, and how he has grown over time.
