Hey friend-
I haven't put out a podcast in a long time and I thought this chapter of podcasting was over because they take so much time.
But sometimes we neeed to clear our mind and ask if we can do things differently. And that is where this podcast idea was born.
I want to put out mini episodes, like you and I are chatting on Voxer. They will be short and sweet (15-25 minutes) and will allow me to go into a little more details versus IG stories. And you can listen on your phone anywhere and play it on 1.25x speed.
Let me know what you think and what topics you want me to share about simplifying your health!

Having good blood sugar balance is so important for our health. Balancing my blood sugar is something I have been working on for the last 6 months to a year. Now that I know my blood sugar better, I have seen improvements in my health and sleep. I wish I would have done more to balance my blood sugar earlier in my health journey.
I have used the traditional finger prick method for testing blood sugar and recommend it. I had the opportunity to try out a continuous monitor and it was so interesting to collect that data and compare to the finger prick method. I do want to clarify, when we talk about blood sugar, we are not talking about diabetes. Your body can need more blood sugar balance without any symptoms of diabetes. We are looking at functional levels of blood glucose.

Living a healthy or holistic lifestyle can be overwhelming. There is so many things you can implement and try and it is easy to feel like everyone else has it more figured out than you do. But that is simply not true! I am not perfect when it comes to living this way but I have learned so much over the last decade.
In this episode, I want to share 10 things I wish I would have know when I first started living this healthy lifestyle. I have learned a lot along the way and made some mistakes but those mistakes taught me things and got me to where I am today. I hope this episode is helpful to you in your healthy living journey and that you can avoid some of the mistakes that I made along the way.

You have tested your home and have found mold. Now what? You need to have the mold properly remediated. Finding someone who knows how to do this properly is easier said than done.
Many professionals claim to be able to remediate mold but not many can do it properly. There are specific steps and processes that need to happen to throughly and properly remediate mold in your home.
In this episode, I brought in the expert in mold remediation, Michael Rubino. Michael is an air quality remediation specialist and a renowned leader in the mold and remediation space. He is the president of HomeCleanse and Author of The Mold Medic: An Expert's Guide on Mold Removal. He is also a council-certified Mold Remediator by IICRC and ACAC and a contributing member, sponsor, and speaker for the Indoor Air Quality Association.

Living in a home that could be making you sick is a reality for a lot of people. It happened to me when we moved to our current house. My symptoms flared and my health crashed. Only to find out that a bacteria from our sump pump was making me sick. Listen more about that here.

I know so many of you are you like me. Many of you are walking through chronic illness and working on your healing naturally. I know many of you are also like me in the areas of being a stay at home mom, work from home mom or homeschooling mom. In this episode, I am giving you a look into what my days look like as I heal my body and hold many titles. Spoiler alert, I don't do it all by myself!

If you have been living with chronic illness or symptoms it is likely that you have heard "It's all in your head" from a doctor before. If you have heard this, I know that you are not making this up. Doctors are often times will say this because what you are describing doesn't fit in their diagnosis box or have they don't have a pharmaceutical to fix it.
We are going to dive deep into your brain and nervous system and how interconnected everything is. We are also going to look to the Bible. The Lord give us wisdom when it comes to our health in the Bible.

In this episode, I am interviewing Jennie Hoglund about Homeopathy. Jennie is a graduate of the 4-year Classical Homeopathy training program at Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in Minneapolis, MN, and is now a classroom teacher and clinic supervisor at NAH. She is also an Integrative Provider with Pregnancy and Postpartum Support MN, and has a special interest in clients with postpartum mood disorders. Additionally, Jennie holds the CCH credential (Certified Classical Homeopath) through the Council for Homeopathic Certification, a national organization.
Homeopathy is something I have used a little bit in our home and something I have always wanted to be more knowledgeable about. Homeopathy is something that comes under the umbrella of holistic or natural. As a chiropractor, we didn't have specific training in homeopathy.
Homeopathy involves using diluted doses of natural substances to stimulate a healing response in the body. The word homeopathy means like cures like. There are over 5000 homeopathic remedies. Listen to learn more about how to start using homeopathies in your home.

The healthcare system today primarily looks at and treats symptoms. They never ask the questions to dig deeper to figure out the most fundamental cause of symptoms or illness. It is just bandaid fix after bandaid fix without actually getting to the root cause of the problem. You won't be able to heal unless you get to the root of the problem.
In healing, we want to dig deep and ask why to get to the root cause of our symptoms. If we can heal the foundation, that will help the symptoms to go away. We want to pull back the onion. Keep asking "Why?" And truly find the source of our symptoms.
I hope this episode is encouraging to you to get to the root cause of your symptoms. Keep asking "why?".

In today's culture we hear conflicting information on how we should be eating. We hear this diet or that diet is superior and will help you achieve all your health goals. Then on the other side we hear the opposite. That you don't need a particular diet to be healthy. And you can be healthy at any size.
This just leads to an unhealthy mindset around food. Food is good and so nourishing for your body. It is important to have a good mindset around food. You can decide to eat well and it doesn't have to be linked to a particular diet. Listening to your body and knowing your current physiology is important when it comes to diet.
I believe that food freedom is so important and can drive health. I hope this episode is encouraging to you wherever your are in your health journey.

When you think your house may have mold, it can be overwhelming to figure out how to test. I get it! I was there in the last year trying to figure out why my house was making me feel so sick.
In this episode, you will hear about ways to look for mold in your house and how to test your house for mold. Then once you know if mold is an issue or not, how to start the remediation process and well trained experts who can help you.
With mold, it is so important to find someone who will properly remediate the mold. Most remediation experts won't properly get rid of the mold and will instead use the kill and encapsulate method. This method can help but don't fully get rid of the problem.

I'm currently sweating in my sauna and supporting my body's ability to detox and what a better way than that to do this update.
Now it's just where to start in my long health update.
After 5 years of the Just Enjoy Health podcast, I've decided it's time to take a break until I have the capacity to come back and bring you more episodes. It's the end of a season, not the end of the podcast.
