  • This episode we’re diving (pun intended) into the eerie and mysterious side of Crater Lake National Park. It’s got all the spooky vibes: curses, ghosts, missing people, and of course, Bigfoot.

Legend has it, ancient spirits of a god of the underworld named Lao, who brought some bad juju to the area. Apparently, some of that curse still lingers. Spoiler: Don’t anger ancient spirits.

The Crater Lake Lodge has its very own haunted happenings, including a little ghost girl who likes to roam the halls. And don’t forget about the Native American spirits who might just pop up to say hello. But, you know, in a spooky ghost way.

Wizard Island might just be haunted by the souls of those who died when Mount Mazama collapsed 7,000 years ago. Or maybe it’s Lao, still holding a grudge? Either way, Wizard Island isn’t just beautiful, it’s beautifully creepy!

What’s more unsettling than a haunted island? Silent zones! These areas around the lake supposedly cause people to disappear without a trace.

And finally, what spooky national park adventure would be complete without a Bigfoot sighting? There have been reports of Bigfoot making guest appearances around the lake. Maybe he’s just as confused about the silent zones as we are?

  • Hey guys! Let's take a look at the paranormal side of these beautiful islands. I'll admit, before we did this episode, I didn't even know about Channel Islands National Park! Now, here we are, looking for spectral sailors who never made back to shore, hoping to find buried treasure (which may or may not be cursed), and watching out for departed lighthouse keepers still roaming the halls.

As always, we need a fun place to stay too! The Glen Tavern Inn is just a hop, skip, and jump-scare away from the islands. Learn about its history of poker games and prohibition-era shenanigans (where Ashlee would most likely run the speakeasy and be a flapper?), now a cozy spot where you can sleep like the dead—literally - eek!
