So from verse 81 to 88 are exchanges between the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the unbelievers. The dialogue was captured here, including their questions to the Prophet PBUH based on their accusations that what the Prophet PBUH said were merely fables from ancient times. Each question was followed by Allah SWT's answer to be delivered by the Prophet PBUH in the form of rethorical question - such as: Who do you think the earth and everything that lives on it? - Will you think about the Owner of the World? - Who do you think sustains the seven heaven and on His almighty throne? - Will you not remain conscious of Him? - Who do you think has the dominion or power over all things and protects them while nothing can protect themselves from Him? - How can you be so deluded? After this, Allah SWT tells us how to pray to Him in order to protect themselves from evil and to be righteous as a mukmin. And then Allah SWT tells us that we should repel evil with something that is better. Allah SWT assured us that He knows what the unbelievers have attributed to Him. And He also asked us the believers to pray to Him and asks for refuge from the promptings of all evil impulses. Beyond verse 98, Allah SWT focusses on the hereafter. How we should believe that it will come. He also tells us that the unbelievers will mock the believers but in the the believers will certainly be triumphant.

See verse 78 - 80. It is basically the reason why we give you the name Aqeela Syakira...to be smart enough to be thankful. Allah SWT says in these verses that we multiply and living our lives because we are created by Him and what we have as our surroundings, including the night and day, are also created by Him. Yet we fail to be grateful (the root word syukr which is used in these verses), because we do not use our reason (the root word aql which is used in these verses).

It was in the afternoon. I was quite taken with the verse 51 that instructed the Apostles to partake in the good things in life because it was far from the image that has been projected of people being close to God. There is no requirement for someone to suffer in order to be close to God. They would certainly be tried, but they do marry their wives and have children which often mentioned as part of the worldly benefit in the Quran (especially children). But then it also touches on how unity is what Allah wants from His creation in regarda to worahipping Him. The picture of unity provided in these verses, however, may not be the same image that we have in mind. In fact, it is clear to me that Allah is speaking of the Jews and Christians by specifically mentioning Moses PBUH and Isa PBUH. He says that this community is one single community because they both worship the same Sustainer which followed by a command to be concscious of Him. It reminds us that this is what matters most and should not be compromised due to sectarianism. Muhammad Asad in his notes mentioned the Hadith that quoted the Prophet Muhammad PUBH that breaks down how the Jews, Christians and Muslims will be divided into many sects. But then He gave a warning that goodly life in wealth and children are not the ultimate good. On this, Muhammad Asad also noted that the breach in unity often comes from greed and factional striving over power. Then Allah lays down to us what matters most on His sight and the are 1) they who stand in reverent awe of theit Sustainer, 2) who believes in their Sustainer's messages, 3) who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 4) who gives whatever they have to give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return. They will be the champion and He assures us that none shall be wronged (verse 62).

Morning. Silent and quiet and solemn. Feeling uplifted. Alhamdulillah. Understood that the believe in the here after is essential. What I remember the most is the statement that how we can be consumed with what we have and forgotten of the hereafter. Remember. Always. Another thing to note is the fact the we...we will be left with remorse of we deny the truth. "After a little while they will surely be smitten with remorse!". Afterwards, we will be nothing but a floatsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent. Oh how I know about remorse. Forgive me.
