Êtes-vous prêts et prêtes à sauter avec moi à pieds joints dans le monde du trail et du running ? Foncer (mais pas tête baissée) dans un défi de taille ?
C’est ce que je vous propose dans le podcast « Les pieds dans le trail ».
Repousser mes limites, l’effort à son maximum et réussir à terminer un ultra trail.
Pour y parvenir, je compte mettre toutes les chances de mon côté. Je me donne deux années. Deux ans pendant lesquels je vais vous montrer toutes les étapes du processus et de l’entrainement. Au niveau mental, physique et au quotidien. Il ne s’agira pas uniquement d’une histoire personnelle mais aussi, et surtout, prouver qu’il est possible de partir de (presque) zéro et atteindre un objectif sportif ambitieux.
Je tenterai d’être le plus complet possible et de brasser suffisamment large pour intéresser du coureur débutant, récréatif, à l’athlète élite en passant par le sportif en recherche de performance.
J’interrogerai des experts, des coachs, des médecins, des kinésithérapeutes, des spécialistes, des sportifs, des psychologues, des sociologues, des nutritionnistes, des amateurs aussi afin d’optimiser au maximum les chances de réussite et lever le voile sur de nombreuses interrogations et parfois mythes autour de la course à pied et du sport de manière générale.
Nous tenterons de répondre à de nombreuses questions :
Comment s’entrainer efficacement ? Comment bien adapter un plan d’entrainement aux caractéristiques propres à chacun et chacune ? Comment se préparer à manger du dénivelé sur des sentiers techniques ? Comment pallier à ses faiblesses et comment tirer parti de ses forces ? Comment bien s’alimenter ? Comment gérer et combiner vie privée, professionnelle et sportive ? Quelle importance joue l’entourage dans la pratique sportive ? Comment rester motiver, parfois sur un temps long ? Comment anticiper et éviter les blessures ? Comment les soigner efficacement si elles surviennent ? Quel matériel utiliser ? Les marques populaires comme Hoka, Salomon, Nike, Adidas, On Running, Scott ou Garmin, Corros, Suunto sont-elles vraiment les meilleures ?
L’ancrage sera belge mais rayonnera à l’international. Nous irons chercher la motivation dans les courses mythiques qui font rêver comme l’Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB), les Golden Trail World Series, Le Grand Raid de la Réunion (Diagonale des fous), Hardrock 100, Western State ou Le Grand Trail des Templiers. Et l’inspiration chez des athlètes de renommée mondiale : Killian Jornet, Mathieu Blanchard, François D’Haene, Jim Walmsley, Courtney Dauwalter ou même Anais Quemener et Eliud Kipchoge. La course sur route aura donc également sa place dans ce podcast avec, notamment ma participation au Marathon de Paris 2024.
