A new year, a new series! In 2025 my plan is to work through the AFI 100 Years... 100 (10th Anniversary Edition). For this first installment we're covering the last 2 films on the list, but two very groundbreaking films for their respective times: Ben Hur from 1959 and Toy Story from 1995, very different but both very important and impressive films. Check out the episode to hear my thoughts on each, where they hold up, where maybe they fall behind as time moves on, and what I think of them overall.

Fellow jury member and fellow podcaster, Meg, joins Dan to talk about her journey in Can You Survive! Meg and Dan never got to play together, and when they were in the merged tribe, they just couldn't align in the game, but they have a great conversation about the game, Meg's charity and Meg's podcast, Desperately Seeking the 80s (which you should go check out!). Meg played for The Ali Forney Center which you can donate to here: https://www.aliforneycenter.org/donate

Happy Thanksgiving Cellar Dwellers! In the most epic episode we maybe ever made, we're going back to 2019 for a very special and very festive holiday treat for you! Stephanie and I got together with Zach, Trev, George and Chris for a delicious Thanksgiving meal, lovingly and exquisitely prepared by Stephanie, and then enjoyed the classic (possibly only) Thanksgiving film Planes, Trains and Automobiles. We then took to the air to discuss the meal, the film, travel stories and all kinds of other nonsense! This is one not to miss, it was a blast to make and we think it'll become part of your yearly Thanksgiving traditions, right up there with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Enjoy your family, your meal, and your traditions, we are incredibly thankful for all of you and hope you enjoy our ridiculous Spanksgiving extravaganza!
