We made it, Door-itos. This is the last parable on the Road to Revelation series ๐ So maybe it's fitting that we talk about heaven and hell and the figurative keys to the two places that we see in the Bible because turns out, they have everything to do with all the parables that we have been talking about for 8 months (8 months!). We're still not over the fact that Israel was actually a blessing that was bestowed upon Jacob by God and it means "overcome" and that the proof of Israel is 12 tribes - Jacob had 12 sons who eventually became the 12 tribes and Jesus had 12 disciples who are addressed as "12 tribes" in James 1:1. But is there a third Israel to be created according to the book of Revelation? Bonus: numbers in the Bible and their significance!

Host and actress Issa Litton is a curious cat and not only does she want to know about the heaven, earth, sun, moon and stars that are used figuratively in the book of Revelation but she even asks about the sea that passes away in Rv 21:1 ๐ธ This is perhaps the biggest reason why people equate the end time to a physical destruction of the planet but if we consider how the same language already appeared in an Old Testament book of prophecy (Is 65:17, for one) and read what happened in Gn 37:9-11, well, we think it's time we put away all the scary doomsday interpretations of Revelation. Jerusalem and Babylon are two places that appear from the Old Testament all the way to the book of Revelation in the Bible. We understand that these are actual places where a lot of significant events took place in the past but what are they doing in a book of prophecy for the second coming, especially Babylon when it no longer exists as such? Many claim and fear that a physical war will be the beginning of the end but the Scriptures make it clear that we do not wage war as the world does (Eph 6, 2Cor 10) so it's all a little confusing but that's why we're here. Halo, Doo-rito! ๐ Do you know that the Bible shows us the structure of heaven and from different angles?! Oh my word. Moses, Jesus and John all saw heaven and when God shows His kingdom in this way, it is for whoever sees it to build it so He can dwell here on earth. This is what God wants and we actually ask Him to do this every time we pray the Lord's Prayer! Moses built an intricate physical tabernacle patterned after what he was shown and Jesus built God's spiritual kingdom here on earth. In the book of Revelation, John is also shown a vision of heaven in Rv 4 and among the things he sees are the four living creatures who are also referred to as the four winds in Daniel 7. Who are they and what do they do? And how does this look when it fulfills? This is only part 1 of the convo, part 2 on Thursday! ๐

We wouldn't think twice to call Tin our DJ and sportscasting idol but we're hitting the brakes once we're in faith and Bible territory. We can see throughout the book that God abhors idols and worshiping them was basically an act of forsaking the one true God. Physical idols in the Old Testament make a transition to spiritual ones in the New Testament and then in the book of Revelation, there is mention of 'food sacrificed to idols' in Rv 2 and an 'image' that is worshiped in Rv 13 - what iz thiiiizzz ๐ฑ Plus! Instructor Aaron's personal testimony on why he believes Shincheonji's understanding is the truth that we all need to hear and verify about the second coming.

Are you ready for today's parable to rock your wooooorld? ๐ The language of stone or rock is something that we see all throughout the Bible - the Ten Commandments were written on stone tablets (a foreshadowing of Prov 3:3 which says we should write God's commands on the tablet of our hearts โค๏ธ), Jesus is called a 'living stone' and 'the stone the builders rejected that became a cornerstone' to name a few and we see it quite a bit in books of prophecy as well. In fact, in Rv 2:17, Jesus promises to give someone a white stone at the time of Revelation. What does this mean? We are leaving no stone unturned on this episode so come on in! ๐

Alright Door-itos, this one's gonna be off the scales! ๐ถ Rv 15 mentions the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb and then in Rv 14 there is mention of a "new song" which is to be the eternal gospel (that only the 144,000 can learn! Shoutout to our past episode on the parable of seal! Yes, we just gave ourselves a shoutout!). Seeing as how verses like Ps 119:172 say that the word of God is to be sung, does this refer to the word? But why is it new? One thing's for sure - it's God's new song so it won't fall flat ๐
