Who thought there'd be a day when all of our information would be online, available at the tip of someone's fingertips? It means you can make decisions about what plans work for you in seconds - no more half-days spent trolling through mobile plan offers and trying to compare them! But it also means we need to think about how we make sure the ownership of this information is made clear and secure. Open banking - which helps makes payments through businesses - is one of the first steps in this technology. And there's much more to come, including a bill on consumer data rights which is in process as we speak.
Big thanks to Julia Nicol from Worldline for chatting to me.
Enjoy.

Blockchain is one of those things that still feels incomprehensible or just irrelevant to many people. So I've grabbed two New Zealand based experts to help me unpack what it actually is and what value does it have to people and businesses not in the big tech world?
Join me in this chat with Bryan Ventura, financial services senior associate and the current Chair of BlockchainNZ and Jeremy Muir, financial services partner and co-division lead of banking & financial services team for Minter Ellison. We discuss how a blockchain can help make saving information across supply chains easy and secure, unpack blockchain will have on the future, and even touch on potatoes. I kid you not.
Please let us know any questions, we're happy to come back to the topic.

Crypto. Sounds like one of those crazy weird things only tech nerds do that doesn't relate to most people. So what exactly is it? and what's the point of it for me?
I'm STOKED to chat to another fabulous tech women in this episode, Louise MacFarlane from Easy Crypto and the group Crypto Women: NZ and Australia.
We unpack what crypto (digital currency) is, the current system of value exchange (money as we know it), and what this system could mean for the future and for you.

NFTs.... "Nifts'... Non-Fungible Tokens. What exactly are they? Just pixelated online art blocks? Why do people buy them? and more importantly, are they even something you should care about? Let's chat.

Blockchain. That much talked about techie word... but what actually is it? and does it have any interest for me?
-
A 'why you should care about' episode talking about the evolution of the world wide web, how money plays a role in what information you see, changes in how you get your search results, and the implications for us all - regardless of your tech-nerd level! Forgive the ums and ahs... this was a tough one!

Yes, that deadly 'long as a piece of string' question. This definitely isn't an easy one! In this episode, I go through some 'bucketcategories' (newly coined term) your business will likely fall into and what to consider, look out for, and pay for each one. Thanks Terry for asking the question :)
For all those sound sensitive types, yes the intro sounds different to the rest, I snorted with laughter and had to start again #ImOnlyHuman

Oof, so much jargon in search marketing. Let's walk through - search, what is SEO, what is SEM, should you invest in it? and how to read those reports.
