After 19 years, paranormal researcher Larry Arnold returns to talk with Gene and cohost Tim Swartz about the strange and frightening phenomenon of spontaneous human combustion (SHC). He is regarded by many as the world’s expert on SHC, but others regard him as a “mystery monger” and “world-class fool.” After leaving Lafayette College and a brief career in electrical engineering, Arnold founded PSI: ParaScience International in 1976 to pursue the exploration of Fortean anomalies and consciousness. His controversial article published in August 1978, titled “Meltdown…at TMI-2,” would 8 months later be termed “uncannily accurate” by The Philadelphia Inquirer in presaging the future of that nuclear power plant’s “impossible” Class IX meltdown near his home. The tragedy was best known as Three Mile Island. This discussion will cover both the nuclear incident and his 1995 classic title, “Ablaze!” This large book contains hundreds of unbelievable examples of The Fire Within, culled from long-forgotten obscure medical journals and never-before-published interviews with witnesses to the impossible. Arnold has been a guest on hundreds of radio and internet-radio programs and a number of radio and TV shows that include provocative radio host Howard Stern. He has also delivered lectures at a number of colleges and universities. His “unofficial” website is www.ParaScience.com. Caution: This episode has graphic descriptions of episodes of spontaneous human combustion.

Best-selling author Erich von Däniken and UFO researcher and biblical scholar David Halperin debate the theory of ancient astronauts, that advanced beings from other planets visited Earth in ancient times. David also continues with discussions about his very different views of UFO reality, and the causes behind related events. von Däniken is arguably the most widely read and most-copied nonfiction author in the world. He published his first (and best-known) book, Chariots of the Gods, in 1968. In the 1960s, David Halperin was a teen-age UFOlogist. He grew up to become a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with special expertise in religious traditions of heavenly ascent and otherworldly journeys. He is the author of five books and numerous articles on Jewish mysticism and messianism, and a novel, 'Journal of a UFO Investigator."

Gene and cohost Tim Swartz present a very special episode featuring UFO historian Jerome Clark. Among the topics to be discussed, the recent controversial article from the Wall Street Journal claiming many UFO events are really based on government disinformation. Also on the agenda: his career as a music lyricist. Jerome is the prize-winning author of more than a dozen books, including Hidden Realms, Lost Civilizations, and Beings from Other Worlds; Strange Skies: Pilot Encounters with UFOs; the multi-volume UFO Encyclopedia; and Unnatural Phenomena. He serves on the board of the J. Allen Center for UFO Studies and is the co-editor of its magazine, International UFO Reporter. In 2008, Jerome received the Dinsdale Award given by the Society of Scientific Exploration for significant contributions to the expansion of human understanding through the study of unexplained phenomena. He has been featured in such television programs as the 1997 A&E Network documentary "Where Are All the UFOs?," which examined the history of the UFO phenomenon. In 2005, he discussed the early history of the U.S. Military's UFO investigations on the prime-time special, "Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs — Seeing Is Believing." In addition to the Peter Jennings special, Clark has also appeared on episodes of NBC's Unsolved Mysteries television series and on the syndicated television series Sightings. And Gene and Jerome have been friends for nearly 60 years.

With cohost Tim Swartz on "Special Assignment," Gene presents a genuine paranormal power couple, Tillie Treadwell and Artemaeus Treadwell. Tillie, who is our guest cohost on this episode, is an American author and experiencer. Her very earliest memories include what seem to be paranormal encounters, and the other side has always played a central role in her life. She was co-lead of an exorcist and investigative team with the Catholic church, has worked as an independent tarot interpreter, healer, medium and advisor, and today is an author for Zontar Press, a publishing house run by Tim R. Swartz, co-host on The Paracast. She also writes for Outer Limits Magazine and The Quad Coalition of Sciences. Notably, later this year a piece of hers will appear in a new book by Malcolm Robinson of SPI in the UK, and she is currently hard at work on several other book inclusions and some standalone volumes with Zontar Press. Artemaeus is an American experiencer. After meeting Tillie, his life took thousands of unforeseen, unforgettable turns, from witnessing her psychic abilities, to bumping into a faerie, meeting mimics, dark entities, maybe an Egyptian god or two, seeing UFOs and strange planetary behavior and more. At home, extreme electrical events, strange scientific anomalies, apports and disappearing objects, time glitches and the Mandela Effect are positively common events. Bizarrely, his foray into the deep paranormal has transformed his personality, beliefs and understanding of psychology, reality and life in measures and ways no short of miraculous.

Gene and cohost Tim Swartz feature Gary D. Rhodes. He is a renowned film historian and author with a passion for uncovering the forgotten stories of horror cinema. He’s a world expert on Bela Lugosi and Dracula, and will reveal the secrets of the tragic life story of this world-famous horror film legend. He will also talk about his book, "Weirdumentary: Ancient Aliens, Fallacious Prophecies, and Mysterious Monsters From 1970s Documentaries." The book unlocks the secrets of the strangest cinematic phenomenon of the 1970s. It's the ultimate guide to the bizarre, the unexplained, and the wildly entertaining films and television programs that blurred the line between fact and fantasy. "Weirdumentary" examines dozens of movies and TV series, sold to the unsuspecting public as documentaries, beginning with "Chariots of the Gods" (1970) and ending with "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow" (1981). Leonard Nimoy’s "In Search Of" makes an appearance, and so does Orson Wells in his late-career role of sinister yet skeptical narrator. Although listeners to The Paracast know about their factual basis, many of these shows and movies featured spurious experts, questionable evidence, and low-budget dramatization. Acclaimed comic book artist, writer, and historian Stephen R. Bissette, best known for his groundbreaking work on DC Comics' "Swamp Thing" alongside Alan Moore, provides the foreword.

Gene and cohost Tim Swartz present a return appearance from Grant Cameron, who has, for over three decades, explored what U.S. Presidents know about UFOs. Are they fully informed of the extent of the phenomenon or is it kept a secret from them unless there's a compelling "need to know?" Grant is the recipient of the Leeds Conference International Researcher of the Year and the UFO Congress Researcher of the Year. He became involved in Ufology as the Vietnam War ended in May 1975 with personal sightings of a UFO type object which locally became known as Charlie Red Star. That story was published by Dundurn Press in a book titled, Tales of Charlie Red Star. Grant is one of the foremost authorities on Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump and their UFO connection. Most of that research is found at the Presidents UFO Website – https://whitehouseufo.blogspot.com/ or in two other books “The Clinton UFO Storybook” and “Managing Magic: The Government’s UFO Disclosure Plan.” After experiencing a mental download event on February 26, 2012 Grant turned his research interests away from “nuts and bolts” research to the role of consciousness in the UFO phenomena. This new research has expanded out to the possible involvement of extraterrestrials in modern music, and in the aspects of inspirations and downloads in science discoveries, inventions, Nobel Prizes, music, art, books, near death experiences, meditation, and with individuals known as savants and prodigies. Grant's most recent book is the fourth volume of The Disclosure Series "Beyond Managing Magic 2: Landing the Plane."
