Long before the US got their dirty hands on the Hawaiian Island, there was already a rich, thriving culture.
One of their most intriguing legends is that if The Night Marchers. This is a band of warriors that is said to march to protect the Chiefs, Chieftess, and other important people of the islands.

This week and next week we will be releasing a Patreon episode to bring light to the MMIP epidemic.
This week is the story of Kristen Huntington who was murdered by her live in boyfriend, and the father of her the 9 month old daughter Chanel. But that was just the beginning of this story. Before his arrest, Rustad gave custody of Chanel to a woman that was a friend of his, a white woman.
This began a 3 year legal battle for Chanel's grandmother Arlene, who by the passing of the Indian Child Welfare Act, had first rights to custody of her granddaughter. But for some reason Nikki Richman decided that she wanted to fight this bill all the way to the Supreme Court.
And although Chanel maybe home now, Arlene must now fight for custody from the man who murdered her daughter.

Out in the middle of the pacific ocean there is a small atoll, a ring of reef that has grown around a volcano, that has been the site of many shipwrecks, mysteries and even a murder or two.
Palmyra Atoll was also a base during WW2 and was a critical site for Allied Forces. But although the buildings were mostly torn down and hauled off, something has stayed on that island for all of these years.

This week Ian has a special tale from right here in our hometown. This is a peek at our show Deadly Lovers over on Patreon and also a special for Mothers Day, which is real messed up once you get into it.
Nance Dude was born to a poor family out on Utah Mountain off of J Creek. After her brother was attacked by a bear, her mother had a deep hatred of Nance she let be well known.
Nance would grow up to marry a couple of time and have a daughter. Her daughter would go on to have two girls, one of whom was rejected by her father. That rejection led Nance into the wilds of Utah Mountain with her two year old grand daughter Roberta.
When she showed back up alone, Nance was arrested. What happened to young Roberta is the stuff of nightmares and yet questions remain. Was what happen to Roberta done by Nance, or was it someone else, and Nance is just a scapegoat?

In 1971 a man boarded a Northwest Orient flight. It was supposed to be a 30 minute flight but ended up being a situation that lasted all day.
This is the only successful hijacking of a plane in US history. And no one know who committed the perfect crime.

10 years. April 2, 2024 marked 10 years of sobriety for Paranormal Lover Ian!!! So this week in honor of that milestone Felicia is going into the life an legacy of Bill W.
William Wilson had a long struggle with alcohol abuse. It ruined his schooling, his business, and almost his family. After meeting with a friend who had recently gotten sober, and having a spiritual experience, Bill himself got sober.
But he knew in order to keep his sobriety, he was going to have to help other people find theirs. And so the idea for Alcoholics Anonymous was born.
In the 80 plus years since then, over 2 million people have found sobriety through AA. Bill's legacy is one that will last through the generations, and we hope that people will continue to find a community when they need it.

This week Ian is taking a dive into Reddit. While here he found some interesting stories of an alleged phenomenon that has been reported by search and recuse personal for years.
We are not sure where these stories allegedly took place, or even the validity of them, but the way it goes is that during training, SARs personal are given very firm instructions that should they ever come across stairs in the woods, that they should leave them alone.
Now I don't know about yall but the more I am told to not do something, the more likely I am to do it. And I am not the only one as one of these stories includes one of a person who stood at the top of those bizarre forest steps.

Forced, involuntary or coerced sterilization is a tactic that has been used for decades. It started out in hospitals and prisons but quickly grew to include anyone that didn't fit in.
In North Carolina over the span of 40 years there was over 7500 sterilizations performed. Many of them were low income families, people of color, and disabled people.
And while these programs are not as widely advertised as they used to be, lets not fool ourselves into thinking it does not still take place today.

In honor of Black history Month Felicia takes us to the low country to learn about a legend that comes from a community that is a part of her heritage.
The Gullah Geechee people have a rich history and culture that is still found in the low country today. These people are descendants of enslaved people who were brought to work the unique landscape of the area. The conditions of their enslavement allowed for them to keep some of their culture and language from their countries in Africa and lead to the culture and language that is still in the area today.
And from that culture comes the legend of a witch, vampire, evil spirit, creature that likes to draw the life force out of their victims, and will sometimes even ride them like a horse for the night. The legend of the boo hag has even lead to a unique custom in some communities to ward off the evil spirits.

An interracial couple living up North, Betty and Barney were respected members of the community, fighting for equality and justice during the civil right era. Which is why when the couple losses time and distance after running from a UFO, at least Barney is slow to admit to anything.

We have finally made it to the end of Blackbeard's, aka Edward Teach's, story. The governors of the east coast states had had just about enough of his shenanigans. Since he was hanging out on the coast of N.C, one governor sent some of his best men to find the pirate captain and take him out. And find him they did.
Many years later there have been reports of apparitions, lights, and even ghostly howls that scream through the night made in and around the Outer Banks where he spent most of his time.
