We tackle a pressing question surrounding Sozo, the inner healing and deliverance ministry developed at Bethel Church: Is it biblical? Drawing from core teachings of Sozo—such as identifying lies, closing “doors” to negative influences, and cultivating a deeper relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—we explore whether these practices align with the Bible’s approach to healing and spiritual growth. Is Sozo a fresh method of “renewing the mind” as the Apostle Paul describes, or does it rely on extra-biblical concepts? We’ll examine the key Sozo techniques like the “Father Ladder” and “Four Doors,” assessing them alongside scriptural principles of confession, repentance, and forgiveness.
Join us for an in-depth conversation as we ask, "Is Sozo a biblically sound path to freedom, or does it stray from the teachings of Scripture?" Whether you’re a skeptic or a supporter, this episode will benefit you as we dig deep into the scriptural basis of Sozo’s approach to healing and sanctification.

In a culture that often equates emotional intensity with spiritual depth, how can we discern genuine faith and worship from mere emotional hype? This episode dives into the critical difference between emotions—the natural, God-given responses to life—and emotionalism, a worldview that places feelings above truth, sometimes to the detriment of our spiritual lives. We’ll discuss why emotions alone can’t be the foundation for spiritual truth, looking at common misconceptions like confusing a pastor’s passion with anointing or mistaking emotional peace as confirmation of answered prayer.
Drawing insights from theological giants like Jonathan Edwards and exploring biblical counsel on sobriety and self-control, we’ll explore why emotions must be balanced by a sound mind and grounded in Scripture. We also touch on how music shapes our beliefs and how a focus on emotional intensity in worship can impact our understanding of God.
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation that aims to reclaim a balanced view of emotions in faith and worship, encouraging you to embrace both mind and heart in your walk with God.

The REAL History of Nicaea You Never Knew.
In an era of doctrinal confusion and church scandals, many believers are questioning the very foundation of Christian faith. Can the Nicene Creed offer clarity and stability?
In this episode, we dive deep into the history and significance of the Nicene Creed, established at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., which has served as a cornerstone of Christian belief for centuries. We’ll unpack its core affirmations about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, exploring how it provides a resilient framework for faith amid modern challenges.
But why was the Council of Nicaea so pivotal? Is there biblical support for such councils, or do they risk adding human error to Scripture’s sufficiency? Together, we’ll examine biblical precedents, such as the early church gatherings in Acts 11 and 15, and look at how councils like Nicaea sought to safeguard Christian doctrine and address critical issues facing the church.
From Constantine’s political influence to Arius's divisive teachings, we’ll trace how the debates and decisions of the Nicene bishops shaped the bedrock of Christian orthodoxy. Join us as we explore the timeless relevance of the Nicene Creed, discovering how it can strengthen and steady us through personal and collective crises of faith.

What’s the deal with chimeras in the Bible? Are they just myths, demon descriptions, or something way stranger? In this episode, we'll dig into the ancient texts, including the Septuagint, to track down satyrs, sirens, dragons, and yes, even the infamous Leviathan. Could these creatures be the result of pre-flood genetic experiments? Were they spawned from divine-human mingling gone wrong? Or are they clever political metaphors from the prophets? We’ll throw out theories, explore ancient Jewish thoughts, and see if these “chimeras” were real beasts or symbolic warnings.

Is Satan real? Does the devil actually exist? Or is satan just a symbol? In this episode, we'll examine the biblical portrayal of the Satan. Is it a title, an actual being, or merely a personification of evil? We’ll examine Scripture, looking at passages that present Satan as a real entity, such as his interaction with Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4) and his presence in the story of Job. At the same time, we’ll engage in a thoughtful debate about whether these depictions are simply a metaphor for the force of evil in the world. Is the Satan an actual being or just a symbol of evil? Join us as we tackle this debate!

It’s that time of year when there is a heightened focus on ghost tours, paranormal activity, and even seances. So, we have to ask, "Are ghosts real?" What does the Bible say? How do ghosts fit into a Christian worldview?
We’ll discuss famous stories like the ghost of Samuel (1 Samuel 28) and also how Jesus tells His disciples He is not a ghost, saying, "A ghost does not have flesh and bones" in Luke 24:37-39 (inferring there might be ghosts?). Does the Bible consider these ghosts to be spirits of the deceased or demonic manifestations?
We'll also examine whether it's biblical to connect with ghosts or not. (Bet you know the answer!) Tune in for a biblical breakdown of ghosts!

We’re sitting down with bestselling author John Burke to discuss his fascinating book Imagine Heaven: Near-Death Experiences, God's Promises, and the Exhilarating Future That Awaits You. Burke delves into over 100 stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) and compares them to what the Bible says about Heaven. From questions about our identity and relationships in Heaven to what God is like and what we'll do for eternity, this conversation explores it all.
Burke has spent decades researching the accounts of people from all walks of life—doctors, professors, and even the blind—who’ve had life-altering NDEs, including both heavenly and hellish experiences. While not every detail lines up with Scripture, he argues that the shared themes from thousands of stories paint a vivid and exhilarating picture of the Heaven promised in the Bible. Tune in as we explore how these experiences can shape our view of the afterlife and even impact the way we live today!

Testimonies of how we’ve experienced God can be powerful tools for encouraging others and pointing them to Christ, but they must always remain subordinate to Scripture. So, how should we use our testimonies responsibly? In this episode, we'll explore the role of personal testimony in the Christian faith.
We'll examine the balance between sharing our personal experiences with God and ensuring they don’t become prescriptive or authoritative. Testimonies should inspire and build up others, but they should not be turned into practices or doctrines. We’ll discuss how to keep our testimonies humble, using them to edify rather than establish a "new normal" for the Christian life.
Join us as we better understand the biblical role of testimony and learn how to use our personal stories to encourage without replacing or overshadowing the truth of Scripture.

Recently, at an inter-religious youth meeting, Pope Francis made a statement that has sparked significant debate: "All religions are path[ways] to reach God." He likened religions to different languages, each providing a unique way of approaching the same God. His comments have led to mixed reactions—some defending the Pope's intentions and others accusing him of promoting universalism.
In this episode, we’ll be joined by Pastor Mike Shreve, a former Catholic and evangelist to Catholics with his ministry ToCatholicsWithLove.org. Pastor Shreve argues that the Pope's statements reflect key issues within Catholic teaching today. Together, we’ll explore whether the Pope's words were mistranslated or if they represent a shift toward universalism, and more importantly, why universalism is not supported by Scripture. Don’t miss this in-depth analysis as we seek to uncover the truth behind these controversial remarks.

Were the cessationists of the Protestant Reformation the same as those today? Ryan Denton, a Presbyterian minister and church planter, suggests that modern cessationism differs significantly from the cessationism of the Protestant Reformation. Denton argues, through historical examination, that many Protestant Reformers, particularly the Scottish Presbyterians, experienced supernatural power. Leaders such as George Wishart, John Knox, Alexander Peden, and Samuel Rutherford believed in gifts like prophecy, healing, and more. Tune in to discover how the Reformers were more open to the gifts of the Spirit than many in today's cessationist movement.

We sit down with New Testament scholar Dr. Michael Licona ( @MikeLiconaOfficial ) to discuss his book Jesus, Contradicted: Why the Gospels Tell the Same Story Differently. Dr. Licona tackles one of the most common objections to the reliability of the Gospels: their apparent discrepancies. Instead of forcing strained harmonizations, Licona explains how the Gospels fit within the genre of ancient biography, allowing for narrative flexibility. He compares the Gospel accounts with the works of Plutarch and other ancient sources, showing how common literary techniques of the time account for differences in reporting. We’ll also explore how these differences align with the doctrines of divine inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture. In this episode, we tackle a pressing issue that has left many believers disillusioned: scandal fatigue. From the moral failures of once-trusted Christian leaders like Mike Bickle, Robert Morris, Ravi Zacharias, Jerry Falwell Jr., and Mark Driscoll, to the widespread misconduct uncovered within organizations such as Hillsong Church and the Southern Baptist Convention, the Christian community has faced a barrage of betrayals. These scandals cut deep, leaving behind a trail of hurt and a growing sense of apathy and distrust.
As Christians, we understand that leaders are human, fallible, and susceptible to sin. Yet, the repeated revelations of moral failures among those who should know better have left many struggling with a profound sense of betrayal. How do we cope with the emotional toll of these scandals? How can we overcome the fatigue that threatens to erode our faith and commitment?
Join us as we explore these questions, looking to Jesus—who Himself was betrayed by a trusted friend—for guidance. We'll discuss how to heal from church hurt, regain our focus on Christ, and continue being a light in a world overshadowed by the failures of those we once admired. Don’t miss this critical conversation on restoring trust and hope in the wake of scandal.
