    Instagram Comments Mentioned:

@camelia1506 - Just terrible but glad that his remains were found to help parents have closure with their son. Otherwise parents would be still looking for him. Rip little angel.

@cesar_chingon_number_1 - I was just a little kid still when this happened. And strangely to this day i think alot about this little boys missing case. A few years ago i took my jeep to big bear and several times after that one day after wheeling i was airing up my tires , i looked over and there he was. His smiling face just as i remembered seeing him on tv. Its a memorial plaque located across the street from old chair photography lab in fawnskin Ca. If you ever go there please be respectful and say a prayer for little David. May he rest in peace. We may never know the truth of what happened to him.

@jessneedsaninstaa - ight ?! I have a 9 year old as well and I am so paranoid I won’t let her walk to the mailbox without her holding one of our dogs and me and the other dogs watching from the door!! You never know who is lurking, or who is even living next door or across the street. Always be aware and alert !!!

@mikeperrry620 - Kids go outside and play all the time without parents watching. It's ridiculous to blame the mom, the car was only fifty feet away.

@noddika - I knew him, he was a twin. His mom used to make dresses for me when I was little. Last time I saw him he was jumping on the bed with his brother while we picked up one of my dresses. It was so terrible when we heard what happened. Be kind in the comments, the family went through a lot. 🤍

Join us this week as we dive into an unforgettable experience that blends the past and present in the most eerie way possible. • Back in 1966, Disneyland debuted their new attraction, It’s A Small World which boasted over 240 animatronics and an unforgettable soundtrack that surely would leave a tune running in your head for a long time. The ride was made for the kids, who would be overloaded with all these cute dolls singing to them as they ride in their little boats in amaze. But for some, these little dolls can become quite creepy. Almost as if the dolls have trapped souls in them, there have been eerie reports that even after the ride is shut down and closed, the dolls can still be heard singing in the dead of night. Have you experienced anything?

  • Legend has it that when the store used to be a Zod’s a tragic double murder-suicide unfolded in the upstairs stockroom, involving a couple who were employees of Zody's. Allegedly, the boyfriend discovered that his girlfriend cheated on him with another male coworker,, leading to a violent outburst where he used a box cutter to fatally wound them both before taking his own life by slashing his wrists and carotid artery. It's said that the spirits of all three individuals now haunt the premises.

As reports of strange phenomena continued to mount, even after the store turned into the big K-Mart I know it is as today… K-Mart #7625… Kmart headquarters in Michigan received word of the unsettling events, and were spooked… prompting them to engage paranormal investigators to delve into the matter. While the investigation was discreet, its findings revealed the presence of four distinct spirits inhabiting the building, with the fourth spirit's origins remaining a mystery.

  • When you hear the phrase 'Men in Black,' one of the first things that may come to mind for many of you is the famous science fiction movie series starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. But did you know that the comic the movies were based on, Lowell Cunningham's The Men in Black, was itself based on a popular UFO conspiracy? Men in Black, as the name would suggest, are beings that appear, usually in black suits, often after UFO sightings. Many people who believe they have seen Men in Black saw something unusual in the sky moments before. Another widely reported theme involving these beings is the deep feeling of distress the witnesses feel after the sighting.

One such man who feels he had an encounter with one of these 'Men in Black' was Dr. Herbert Hopkins. In early September 1976, as the first hints of fall were coming to Maine, Dr. Hopkins found himself consumed by a case he had consulted on the year prior. For whatever reason, Dr. Hopkins couldn't shake the story from his mind... until one strange visitor forced him to.

  • Many urban legends and myths have been created as stories were shared across generations, often morphing and changing between the decades. However, perhaps the far scarier legends are those that are backed up by real-life events. Since the late 80s, rumors have swirled about a ghost that haunts Disneyland's Matterhorn ride. It started with Disneyland staff members who felt an eerie presence around the Matterhorn, some of them even seeing what they thought was a ghost at a particular point on the track known as Dolly's Dip. What was causing these employees, who worked at the supposed 'happiest place on earth,' to consistently feel like there was darkness along the tracks? To answer that question, we need to go back to 1984.

  • On July 8, 1974, guests at a Disneyland attraction called America Sings, which had six rotation stages showing different acts, were waiting for the next act to start when they heard a bone-chilling scream. Many of the guests thought the scream belonged to the show; however, after one guest noticed what appeared to be a girl stuck in between the ride’s rotating stages, the attraction was immediately put to a stop. Another staff member would discover that the attraction's hostess, 18-year-old Deborah Gail Stone, had been fatally crushed. It's unknown how Deborah ended up in her fatal state. After the tragedy, Disneyland installed safety lights and breakaway walls to ensure such accidents would never happen again. Also, it seemed that Deborah Stone herself wanted to prevent others from meeting the same fate. Before the attraction was permanently closed in 1988, several cast members reported hearing a disembodied female voice telling them: "Be careful."

  • Have you ever seen a UFO? It's a question that propels us into the realm of the inexplicable, inviting contemplation of the uncharted territories beyond our understanding. Encounters with Unidentified Flying Objects prompt diverse reactions—skepticism, intrigue, wonder, and sometimes fear. These sightings, often recounted as surreal experiences, challenge our conventional notions of reality. Witnesses describe ethereal lights dancing across the sky, strange aerial maneuvers defying known physics, and encounters that leave lasting impressions, shrouded in mystery. While some dismiss these sightings as misidentified natural or man-made phenomena, others remain resolute in their belief that these unexplained events signify something beyond our current understanding. UFO encounters transcend cultural boundaries, leaving an indelible mark on those who claim to have witnessed them, while simultaneously fueling ongoing debates about the potential existence of extraterrestrial life and the mysteries of the universe.

Now how about some experiences from people who have witnessed these extraordinary objects in the sky. The first story is about a routine late-night drive for a college student, driving home from Indiana University, who encounters an eerie sequence of event leaving the protagonist grappling with an unan swerable question: what transpired over several hours that inexplicably passed for such a short drive, stick around and find out...

  • On Halloween night in 1974, in Deer Park, Texas, seemed like any other Halloween night... Ronald Clark O'Bryan, along with his children and several neighbors, embarked on a trick-or-treating adventure. They encountered a darkened house, its porch lights extinguished, but Ronald insisted they knocked on the door for treats. Impatient, the group left after no one answered, but Ronald stayed behind, claiming to have received some expensive Pixy Stix candies. That evening, he allowed his eight-year-old son, Timothy, to have one, which tragically led to the child's vomiting and convulsions. Rushing Timothy to the hospital proved futile, as the young boy passed away within an hour after consuming the candy.

Investigators suspected foul play and discovered that the Pixy Stix candy was laced with enough cyanide to end two adult males. Suspicion fell on Ronald, as the homeowner of the house he claimed to get the candy from had a solid alibi, as he worked at the airport. Further investigation revealed Ronald's financial troubles and the multiple life insurance policies he took out on his children that same year. It became evident that he had plotted to poison the candies, framing an innocent stranger to secure a hefty insurance payout. Ronald was ultimately sentenced to death, receiving a lethal injection on March 31, 1984. For the complete story, listen to The Scarecast podcast.

  • Halloween, originally derived from the Celtic Samhain celebration, marked the night when the dead returned to Earth. This holiday delighted those who enjoyed embracing the spooky side of life, yet caused unease for families wishing to avoid attracting spirits to their homes. People used scary masks and carved faces into turnips and other root vegetables to ward off these spirits. And now, people carve these scary faces into pumpkins, which we refer to as Jack O' Lanterns. But where did this all originate from?

The story of Stingy Jack, a miserable, manipulative blacksmith in 18th-century Ireland, is what started it all. Jack would even trick the Devil, who was highly interested in acquiring Jack's demented soul. At the time of death, Jack was denied entry to both Heaven and Hell, and would be left to roam the Earth with an ember from Hell in a turnip lantern, becoming known as "Jack o' the Lantern."

Irish immigrants in the United States introduced the pumpkin for carving jack-o'-lanterns, now a Halloween tradition, to keep spirits like Stingy Jack away.
