Happy New Year, friends - to kick things off on the right foot, hereâs how to create a vision board to help guide you in the year ahead. This has been a tool Iâve used for at least the last four years and let me tell you, it works! I create mine right at the beginning of the new year and it serves as a visual guide to help me remember what is most important in my life.
Let me explain⊠It's a visual representation of my core values, my desires, and my goals. Every single element I put on my vision board has been carefully picked to ensure it feels right⊠and itâs actually what I want to create in the year ahead.
As such, I wanted to share my top 5 tips on creating a vision board, so if you want to make one for yourself this year, itâll be a simple process.
Keep your focus on the Light and your chin up, trusting and believing in the process.
Every artist goes through a âthis sucks, this sucks, this is the worst, this is horrible, oh look itâs pretty coolâ cycle when creating art. Even if you donât identify as an artist yourself, youâre still going to (likely) go through that cycle too when creating your vision board. Itâs a given⊠but it doesnât define you. Rise above.
You can do this, I believe in you.
Itâs time to SIMPLIFY.

Are you finding it harder and harder these days to stick to your boundaries? Whether itâs a lack of physical space at your house (hello, homeschooling)⊠or a lack of breathing room and space in your calendar, causing you to overwork, strive, and feel flustered with it all. Or maybe itâs a Boundary Destroyer in your life, which is a whole other ball of wax.
My all-star special guest today is psychotherapist Terri Cole and sheâs simplifying how to stick to your boundaries. In her book, Boundary Boss: The Essential Guide to Talk True, Be Seen, and (Finally) Live Free is a must-read for me and so many girlfriends of mine as we are looking to break free from the nonsense. And more importantly, live a more authentic, fulfilled life by mastering how we create and maintain healthy boundaries.
Hereâs how.
My all-star special guest today is Terri Cole and sheâs simplifying how to stick to your boundaries.
We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:
Through her research, what she found are some common myths that women believe when setting boundaries
What the psychological aspect is behind why we DONâT set boundaries for ourselves? Whatâs happening, really?
How to understand what your internal âBoundary Blueprintâ is and how to communicate our desired (more positive) boundaries are to other people
In a work setting, what to do if youâre afraid youâll be seen as a âbitchâ or if you fear being fired by your client after you state your boundaries
And ultimately, at home⊠what you must do when itâs a family member (a parent, spouse or child) who you cannot remove from your life entirely and youâre having to constantly state and restate your boundaries all the time?
Terri is a brilliant bright light in this field of study and sheâs going to show us a better way of sticking to our boundaries. In our conversation today, youâll gain a glimmer into her work, teaching each of us how to stop abandoning ourselves for the sake of others without guilt or drama. But rather, she shows us a way that healthy boundaries can help us gain better communication and better relationships⊠more satisfaction, abundance, and success. All of it is a result of doing the work, gaining clarity on our subconscious beliefs, and sticking to our boundaries.
Q: Are you ready to learn how to stick to your boundaries better? If yes, this one is for you.Itâs time to #DoTheThing!

Do you want to have a clutter-free Christmas this year? Letâs face it⊠Christmas and the holiday season is here and thereâs no stopping it now. For some, just the thought of all the to-doâs and hanging with the in-laws gives you the hives. For others, the frenzy is exhilarating but by December 27th, you always seem to come down with flu-like symptoms that (totally) flatten you for days. Raise your hand if any of this resonates. But what if this year was simpler? What if this year could be different? And to that, I say YES!
My all-star special guest today is author Kathi Lipp and sheâs simplifying how to have a clutter-free Christmas. With a bit of humor and a little sass, sheâs written the book on almost every aspect of the holiday season, helping us decide what to keep, what to scrap, and how to not totally lose your mind along the way. Hereâs how.
My all-star special guest today is Kathi Lipp and sheâs simplifying how to have a clutter-free Christmas. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:
How she defines what a âclutter-freeâ Christmas could look like, not only talking about the physical stuff but your schedule and your mental wellness
Why we tend to get caught up in the holiday frenzy in the first place
What a âHoliday Mission Statementâ is and how to create one with your household
How to apply 3 of the 21 projects from her book, âThe Christmas Project Plannerâ in to your life over the coming weeks in simple, practical ways, including:
How to create your Christmas prep space with a âMagic Christmas Boxâ
How to schedule your time for the holidays
How to refresh yourself and carve out some YOU time
As with most all topics we simplify on the podcast, one core principle certainly rings true here:
Itâs not about doing more, but actually doing less. When we release the white knuckle grip of control and perfectionism on our lives and learn to say âno, thank youâ to the obligations, tasks and unnecessary to-doâs, we ultimately will find peace, joy and a heck of lot less anxiety. I encourage you to think about what you might let go of this year as youâre listening to our conversation ahead. Kathi is funny, irreverent, and my kind of girlfriend whoâs saying âenough!â to the insanity and helping us all get back to the real reason for the season.

We are continuing our all-star season, bringing back some of my favorite conversations from the vaults of The Simplifiers Podcast and sharing them once again. I think that this one (which originally aired in June 2020) with author Nancy Levin fits so well inside the theme of âself-disciplineâ that we are exploring this month.
So, how do you set healthy boundaries in life, especially if you feel like yours get trampled on over and over again? In my mind, boundaries are in fact, one of the very best ways to cultivate self-discipline, helping you keep your eye on the prize of what you want most in life.
Therefore, itâs a delight to feature this all-episode once again. Through her books, Nancy helps overachieving people-pleasers learn to live life on their own terms. Hereâs how.
My all-star special guest today is Nancy Levin and sheâs simplifying how to set healthy boundaries. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:
Why some women struggle to define and uphold their boundaries, personally or professionally
How to begin the process of defining your boundaries by writing a âboundary scriptâ
What to do if youâre attempting to conquer codependent behaviors
The steps to creating your own âboundary pyramid,â a simple tool to help you set healthy boundaries
How to say ânoâ effectively and stick with it
âŠand ultimately, understanding what your âbottom-line boundaryâ is and how to set it and communicate it with others, confidently.
You can do it, I believe in you⊠itâs time to simplify!

Time for a guided visualization exercise: I want to simplify how to keep calm during the holidays. Itâs so easy to get caught up in the frenzy at this time of year. It feels like things are cranked to 11 no matter where you go, that itâs certainly counter-cultural to buck the system and to do something different. Remain calm, do less, stay present in the moment and choose a better way.
Therefore, Iâve chosen the theme of CALM for the month ahead. That will be our focus for all episodes on the podcast this month. By tuning in, letâs intentionally slow down this month and focus inward
So to kick off the month, today is another guided visualization episode, which weâve decided to release on the first Tuesday of every month this season. How does it work? Simple! Let my voice be a guide for you as you focus inward to help you tap into your inner wisdom and Intuition for answers.

Iâm willing to bet youâve either heard someone mention âThe 5 Love Languagesâ recently, or youâve read the book, or youâve given the book as a wedding gift to a beloved friend. This book has taken the world by storm, remaining on the New York Times bestseller list consistently since 2009!
My all-star guest, Dr Gary Chapman, shares his brilliant framework for understanding how people give and receive love and appreciation.Dr Gary Chapman is the author of The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that LastsÂź and many other books.
In this episode, you will learn:More about the 5 Love Languages:
Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Receiving Gifts
Acts of Service
Physical Touch
How you can tell which your primary love language is
Why itâs important to âkeep our love tank fullâ
What couples can do when they are drifting apart
What some couples believe about marriage and relationships that simply isnât true
How you can share the love languages with a partner who has a different belief system
How you can apply these principles at work and in your family
Dr. Chapman is an absolute delight. Heâs funny, down-to-earth and shares so much wisdom in this all-star episode recorded back in 2018. I hope it brings a smile to your face, and offers you a compass to help navigate tricky relationships this season.
I can only hope that Iâll be this bright, warm and full of sparkle at age 81 like he is.

Stepping back out into the world might require a supercharge of your self-confidence. Things are opening back up again (ever so slowly) and the world is finding its pace once again. But are you?
Thrilled to present another all-star episode from The Simplifiers Podcast vault, this round, we are talking all about how to supercharge your self-confidence featuring a recent conversation with author Kate Eckman. We spoke in April 2021 and that conversation really stuck in my mind for ages afterward. She believes that when we take good care of our inner world, our outer world takes care of itself. All of this is rooted in research-backed strategies in neuroscience and whole-person coaching, with a specific focus on all three parts equally: mind-body-spirit.
Hereâs how.
My all-star special guest today is Kate Eckman and sheâs simplifying how to supercharge your self-confidence.We tackle all aspects of it, including:
Why she believes we are prone to a lack of self-confidence these days, especially as women⊠Whatâs underneath it all, hidden away and keeping us from what we really want in life
Society puts such an emphasis on our physical bodies, to lose weight and stay healthy⊠why she believes itâs time to focus on âshedding excess emotional and spiritual poundsâ instead
What âThe Full Spirit Workoutâ is and the ten steps thatâll supercharge your self-confidence from the inside out:
Stretch your comfort zone
Lift yourself up
Feel the burn
Strengthen your core confidence
Build your emotional muscles
Boost your mental metabolism
Step up your spiritual stamina
Embrace your endorphins
Rock the freedom freestyle
Cool down with inner calm
How to strengthen your core confidence through trust and the 5 Ps
Presence
Patience
Purpose
Preparation
Practice
âŠand ultimately, how to boost your âmental metabolismâ to help you shift through any mindset blocks and help you see opportunities where you once saw insurmountable hurdles.
Iâm so thrilled if this is the first time youâve heard of Kate Eckman and her work because Iâm willing to bet youâll really resonate with her story and what sheâs learned along the way.
If youâve struggled with the feeling of ânot enough-nessâ in your work or life, my hope is that you find the answer to break free from that vicious cycle today. And more importantly, that you remember, the key to everything you desire and the ability to supercharge your self-confidence is actually within you right here, right now. If youâve been in a rut lately, maybe itâs time to rewire your thinking patterns. Our brains are a fascinating thing⊠We are so quick to believe that our thoughts are all real. That what swirls in our brain is the truth that your entire perception of your life experience is built upon. But what if it isn't fully true?
My special all-star guest today is author Thomas Sterner and heâs simplifying how to rewire your thinking patterns. Youâll gain a better understanding of your conscious and unconscious thinking to open your mindset to new ways of perceiving whatâs happening in your life and all around you.

My all-star special guest today is Wendy C. Williams and sheâs simplifying how to harness your inner power. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:
How she defines what âinner powerâ is and is NOT - she busts the misconceptions some have about power and goes much deeper than surface level

What she means by âacquiring energy eyesâ in order to read the room and also read yourself, energetically and how you show up in a space
One super simple, practical way you can harness your inner power when you are about to do something big and scary in your work, such as a big pitch meeting or having a tough conversation

Hereâs another all-star episode that I love so much and wanted to share with you today. As we round out this month's theme of âself-disciplineâ I think this topic is the perfect one to help us bring it all home.
Today, we are talking all about how to finish that next big project⊠no, really. Done, finished, tick it off the list, stick a fork in it, and be DONE. But the problem is⊠most projects we start, we never finish them! Why is that??!
My special guest today is author Bridgit Dengel Gaspard and sheâs simplifying how to finish that next big project. You see, sheâs got a theory that the reason we mysteriously stop within sight of the finish line is actually because not all parts of you want what you think you want. In fact, these sub-personalities inside you have a distorted loyalty to your core negative beliefs and thatâs what is keeping you stuck.
Hereâs how to squash all of that.
My special guest today is Bridgit Dengel Gaspard and sheâs simplifying how to finish that next big project. Why driven, go-getter, type-A kind of people tend to lose steam just before completing a big goal in their life
What the âFinal 8thâ is and how to overcome any self-sabotage when youâre working towards your goals personally or professionally
How to speak to your inner selves for clarity and insight through a technique called voice dialogue
Why itâs just as important to uncover our âcore negative beliefsâ as well as your core values to get at the root of things
⊠and ultimately, what the key difference is between a person who achieves their goals easily vs. those who donât.
If youâve ever bought a book or an online course you havenât finished⊠invested in a mastermind and then fizzled out halfway through⊠or started a DIY project and left it to collect dust, my friend, this episode (that originally aired in September 2020) is especially for you.
You have the power to create the life you really want to live, if only you simply remembered whatâs possible⊠and make Bold Asks for what you need, want, and desire. Today is a fresh start and a new beginning.
You can do it, I believe in you⊠itâs time to simplify!

Ever been in a heated debate (or worse) an argument where you flat-out disagreed with the other person? How did it go? How did it end? And more importantly, how is that relationship doing after that conversation? Letâs talk about respect today, my friend!
My special guest today is author Justin Jones-Fosu and heâs simplifying how to respectfully disagree, both at work and at home. As you think about the potential critical conversations that might happen today or this week ahead, I hope todayâs conversation gives you deeper insight on how to keep your cool, not get triggered, but equally, how to gain a deeper understanding of the other side (even if you still disagree after that), so you can maintain a strong working relationship built on dignity, being valued, and solid respect.
Hereâs how.
My special guest today is Justin Jones-Fosu and heâs simplifying how to respectfully disagree.
