In today’s after-work drink episode, we are talking about the benefits of joining a Chamber of Commerce. Now hear me out. Perhaps the idea of joining a Chamber of Commerce isn’t sexy. But it may be a great resource for you and your business. Whether you are a Maker, a content creator, or a small business founder - if you are on the fence, or haven’t even considered joining a Chamber, this episode is for you.
I am chatting with Christine Mitchell who is the Executive Director of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce. Christine shares her thoughts on who should become a member of their local Chamber of Commerce, the many benefits of belonging to a chamber, and how to decide if membership is suitable for you.

Today’s episode is all about energy, but more importantly, taking responsibility for your own energy. My guest is Amy Anderson from Inspired by Reflections.
Amy and I met last fall in a podcasting course. I was fortunate to be put into a weekly meeting group with her and two other wannabee podcasters, and we’ve maintained weekly zoom group chats ever since.
In this episode, Amy and I talk about taking responsibility for our energy and how it affects others. We chat about Oprah, assholes in a room, shit shields, and so much more. We are using an episode from the Yes/And podcast by Judi Holler called as the foundation for our conversation.
The Podcast Club: like a book club, but for podcasts! For Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Makers, Side Hustlers and more.

Today I am chatting with Lindsay Fortney, a Transformation Coach and former Real Estate agent. In this episode, we chat about price vs. value and how to get out of the transactional selling trap and into transformational selling.
We are using an episode from Your Virtual Upline Podcast with Bob Helig as the foundation for our conversation. I don’t want the name of Bob’s podcast to fool you. Even if you aren’t in Network Marketing this episode has lots of great nuggets to extract.
This episode is really important for all entrepreneurs to hear – whether you are in the network marketing industry or own a product-based or service-based business.

I can’t wait for you to hear today’s episode. Erica Marchand from Bear and Fox Apparel joins me, and we’re chatting about social selling.
Erica is very comfortable being in front of the camera on social media. I definitely don’t use social media to its full advantage and learned a lot from Erica in this episode. We chat about educating our customers, slipping into someone's DMs, the use of AI technology and multiple streams of revenue. If you use social media to sell your products or services, this is the episode for you!
We are using an episode from the Brand Meet Creator podcast called Selling Online in a Way That Doesn’t Make You Cringe as our jumping-off point.

Happy National Irish Whiskey Day!
Today is another bonus “after-work drink” episode. I love these episodes! I get to sip on a cocktail while chatting about a business-related topic. In this episode I dive into the reality of living through a slower season in my business, and how my Founder Story helped me reflect on where I once was, and where I am today.
As entrepreneurs we often get caught up in the weeds. We work so hard in our business - day in and day out - that we don't often reflect on the path that navigated us to the actual business idea, and/or celebrate how far we've come.
Today I am sharing my Founder Story and how it's helped me get out of the slump from the dreaded "slower season."
I'd love to hear your Founder Story. Send me a DM on Instragram. What lead you to your business? Let me know by clicking here. The Podcast Club on Instagram
In honour of National Irish Whiskey Day, today's After-Work Drink is an Irish Buck. Please find the recipe below.
Irish Buck
1 ½ oz of Irish Whiskey
1/4 oz lime juice
Ginger Ale
Add ice to a tall glass. Add Irish Whiskey and lime juice. Top with ginger ale and stir.

Calling all Makers! This is the episode for you!
In today’s Podcast Meeting, I am joined by Lori Kennedy from Pawsitive Pottery. Lori started her pottery journey several years ago to cope with PTSD and a psychological breakdown. What started as a healing tactic, quickly turned into a full-time business.
Lori and I chat about trial and error, and how to figure out what works best for our businesses. We are using a podcast episode from The Maker’s Playbook as our guide.

I am so excited about today’s Podcast Club meeting. I am speaking with Lesley Spencer-Cooper from Malt Management. Lesley has a home staging business, and in less than 3 years, she grew the business by over 700%! Lesley attributes a lot of her success to changing her mindset.
Today we are chatting about the importance of mindset and self-development as entrepreneurs while using an episode from the Powerhouse Women podcast called 3 Steps to Become a More Magnetic Leader as our foundation.

In today's bonus mini-episode, I am sipping on a White Russian while chatting about a podcast recommendation and the latest book that I am reading.
White Russian Recipe:
1oz Vodka
2oz Coffee Liqueur
1oz Whipping Cream
Fill a rocks glass up with ice. Pour in vodka, then coffee liqueur, and then add whipping cream. Carefully stir if you you’d like to see the coffee liqueur and cream separated. If you want a solid white drink, then stir drink well.

Today’s podcast club meeting is with Nicki Straus from Wick + Bear. Nicki turned her side hustle candle company into her full-time gig in 2022.
I love this episode because it feels like two female founders, having a casual chat about where their businesses are headed, what’s working and not working, and encouraging each other.
We talk about ways to future-proof our product-based businesses by adding value and getting more eyes on our products.
We’re using an episode from the Product Boss podcast as the jumping-off point for our conversation.

Welcome to the first Podcast Club “meeting!” Today I am joined by Christine Dainard, and we chat about finding joy and alignment.
What does it mean to be aligned? What happens to our bodies when we are not in alignment? Can we find answers by following our joy? These are just some of the questions we discuss in today’s episode. We’ve used one of Cathy Heller’s podcast episodes as a guide while having a candid and open chat about entrepreneurship and listening to our bodies.

Calling all content creators, this is the episode for you!
I love a good cocktail and being an entrepreneur, I miss out on the “after-work” drink with colleagues. In today’s bonus episode, I share my favourite cocktail, the ChampageTini and a mocktail version that I found online.
I also share my three top takeaways from one of Amy Porterfield’s podcast episodes “10 Ways to Repurpose ONE Single Piece of Content.” They’re good!
ChampagneTini Recipe:
½ oz of Elderflower Liqueur
4 – 5 oz of Champagne (or Sparkling Wine)

The Trailer.
The Podcast Club: it’s like a book club, but for podcasts! Each week I will be joined by a fellow entrepreneur, and we’ll review one of our favourite podcast episodes. Our discussions will be informal and fun, just like your favourite book club!
If it’s true that we are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with, then I want to surround myself with other female founders who are enthusiastic, passionate, and resilient. Women who believe in community over competition, who aren’t afraid to play big, and go after their dreams. There is nothing more inspiring than business owners who have grit and perseverance.
Grab a drink, get cozy and let’s chat all things podcasts, business, and cocktails! Welcome to The Podcast Club.
