This episode is for Mums on the run, working women, people with s**t to do who want to look nice but NEED to feel comfortable too. Most of us need a pretty casual wardrobe these days and comfort is KING.
No one wants to do the school run in heels but that doesn't mean we want to look scruffy and unkempt. There are really easy ways to elevate a casual wardrobe and that is the main topic of the show today.
I had this chat with Jo & Rachel from small UK independent brand ByElleven. They stock streetwear-inspired casual wear, design their own line of more elevated clothing and stock upscaled vintage too.
We discussed the benefits of tailoring in the wardrobe, why you get excellent tailoring in charity shops, why we'll never wear Crocs and what we love to wear on a night out. Enjoy the show!

Today I sat down with Keira from Scott-Samuel, a small accessories business here in the UK. We got festive and discussed our favourite party outfits, how it's great to still be casual but with a bit of sparkle, plus the hot trends of the season.
Last year we saw a lot of silver trousers around but this year there a few more trends out there. Not that you should dress 'trendy!' that's certainly not for everyone. We talked about how you can repurpose what you already own and what to wear if you don't really like dressing up at all.
Your Christmas party outfit inspiration is right here!
This was a collaboration with Keira and I have styled FOUR looks over on my blog where you can shop directly.

This episode goes deep into style confidence and finding your sense of self and style confidence.
Becoming comfortable in your own skin is a lifelong journey and it's harder for some people than others.
The best thing you'll ever wear is confidence but what has that got to do with clothes? EVERYTHING. There are so many hidden emotional messages when it comes to your clothes.
Are you holding back with your style because on some level you don't feel you deserve to look good?
You don't want to be a show-off but this is tethered to worrying too much about what others think of us.
Be who you truly are and not a version other people think you 'should' be.
This conversation runs beyond my area of expertise in fashion so I invited the confidence and mindset coach Kate Stirling on to The Style Stories podcast to discuss the link between confidence, clothes, truly being who we are - unapologetically and allowing ourselves to look good!
A fascinating chat that really explains clothes are so much more than just something you wear.
We even touched on First Lady Style - how Hilary Clinton was the first USA First Lady to embrace looking good and how she got shot down for it.
Lots packed into today's episode - enjoy!

This week I was joined by Katie Miner, a personal stylist from Colorado. We discussed how style rules can be more confusing and restrictive than actually help you. So what can you do instead? When it comes to personal style, it's far better to trust your instincts and work out your style vibe. We are bombarded with choice and it can be so overwhelming so it's no surprise that people end up only wearing a small percentage of their wardrobe.
The key to having a great wardrobe is to have the right mix pieces in it not lots of volume and the key to great style is knowing your style vibe and what you truly like, sticking to that and ignoring the trends.
I hope you enjoy today's chat. Please remember to hit the follow button and leave me a review.

I also delve into why this is so important. It's about investing in yourself and realising that not only are you worth investing in, but your clothes are a powerful tool to reach goals. Stand out for the right reasons, own who you are and where you want to go in life. Too many people believe dressing well and buying clothes is a treat or frivolous when it is far from it! There's no denying we are in the influencer era. Despite the fact some people are saying it's over...! To be able to see someone who is your size and shape wearing an outfit rather than just a skinny size 8, 5ft 8" model is so much more enticing and it's a very powerful marketing tool for brands.
I was joined today by Jo, the founder of clothing company The Cotswold Shed and Rachel from @rachellovesstyle
Both ladies share their style stories and evolution over the years. We all agreed we have become more confident as we've got older but some people hold back as they get older and worry too much about what others think. Hopefully we can help people to see there is a lot of joy to be found in wearing a great outfit!

Corporate Lawyer, Board Advisor, Instagram star and mum of Two Lisa Marinelli joined me on the podcast this week to discuss how you can dress fashionably at work and still be taken seriously. You do not have to dress in dull corporate clothes anymore - in fact, showing some flair and personality in the workplace helps you stand out in a competitive world. We all thrive when are more authentically ourselves and dressing with confidence helps you to appear confident to others instantly.
Does your work wardrobe need a shake up?
âWhen I first started out as a lawyer, I bought a suit because I thought thatâs what I needed to wear to feel like I belonged in a corporate setting. But soon enough, you realize that a black suit is not really an expression of anything. I started playing with the idea of âpower dressingâ by finding the colours that made me feel the most confident" -Lisa Marinelli

Quite simply you donât, and life can be so much more joyful for it.
In this episode I am joined by style chameleon Keira OâMara who lives this way, where every day can be different. She changes her style according to her mood that day rather than reaching for one of the same 10 outfits many of us stick to. Sounds like a fun way to live right?
Keira shares what it means to be a style chameleon and why it brings her so much joy. She also talks about her accessories brand Scott-Samuel, including the stunning bags and capes.
Clothes have the power to make you feel great, and the joy of experimenting with different outfits can give you confidence in expressing oneself through fashion.

Timeless and effortless. But how do you actually achieve it?
In this episode I am joined by Founder of AurĂŠlie, Lucy Robinson. She has created a wonderful brand with a personal touch. Lucy writes handwritten notes with every order, to make each and every purchase feel special.

Do you ever feel stuck in a rut with your clothes?
You donât know what to choose, or what goes with what. You feel like itâs just all too overwhelming. Well, youâre not alone.
In this episode I am joined by the fabulous Amy Simpson and Lisa Farley, creators of NUDI SPRAYâ˘. They share their struggles when choosing outfits to wear, either from their wardrobe or when out shopping. Something Iâm sure weâve all been through. We chat about how to overcome these challenges by taking away the confusion and what items can make an outfit.
Amy and Lisa also tell all about their amazing product NUDI SPRAYâ˘, something that will revolutionise the lives of so many women out there going through perimenopause and menopause.
They had a moment of inspiration during 2022 whilst comparing sticky patch stories following their summer holidays. Neither friend had discovered a reliable, effective or easy means of removing HRT patch glue, leaving them feeling self-conscious about living very publicly with unsightly marks on their skin.
This led them on a quest to find a solution, and after months of research and development, they had created NUDI SPRAYâ˘.
âIf youâre reaching for some mayonnaise and rubbing it all over your legs, youâre at a new lowâ â Amy Simpson
