What Went Wrong covers Hollywood’s most notoriously disastrous movie productions, digging into the behind-the-scenes insanity of everything from massive flops to record-breaking blockbusters. In each episode, hosts Lizzie Bassett and Chris Winterbauer dive into a new film to explore the mind-blowing (and sometimes numbing) reasons why making a movie is nearly impossible (especially a good one). Produced by David Boman.

Alicia, Mia, Stephen, and Jeremiah – along with special guests – are discussing some of the greatest movies ever made. Who says? Sight And Sound magazine says. Every ten years, since 1952, the publication has surveyed critics and directors to determine which films, according to those surveyed, might be considered the best. The five film-loving friends take turns picking movies that have appeared on the list and then dig into them with an eye on their cultural impact, how they stand up today, and just whether they’re actually as good as all those critics and directors say they are.

In addition to reviews, we also interview people involved with the making of movies. We hope that you enjoy the variety that we are bringing to you, the listener. -

In 2022, our co-founders Gabriel Theis and Connor McCarthy launched "Not That Bad: A Movie Podcast." The show aimed to bring at least a little bit of positivity to the world on online movie discourse, and to give the co-hosts an excuse to discuss the "bad" movies they loved. Over time, the desire to produce more types of content grew, and from this desire, That Bad Media was born. As an evolution and extension of our original intentions, That Bad Media will continue to try to have and release as much fun as possible.
