Medical gaslighting in endometriosis is based on a long history of racism, sexism, and lack of scientific research and support for women. Dr. Maria Rovito, PhD, is doing the hard work of diving deep into the history so that our medical community can learn from our past and do better in the future.
It turns out that a lot of our misunderstanding of endometriosis and lack of appropriate research and medical support is based on past biases and cultural norms that have simply carried these problems into modern day. This episode brings these challenging ideas and concepts to the surface so we can finally move forward and end medical gaslighting in endometriosis.

In many ways, self care has been oversold and poorly understood over the past decade. What if real self care was different? What if taking care of yourself was actually the foundation for a better experience of health and life?
We believe it is and this season is all about showing you what real self care is all about. We start it off in this episode with the N.A.P. meditation. More specifically, the “N” part of the N.A.P. mediation.
In this case, “N” stands for neutral larynx. Which is actually a focus on your voice box. In voice to pelvic floor therapy, this is the top of the 3 diaphragms within your body. So this is where we start today. If you want to learn the foundation of voice to pelvic floor therapy to help with having a stronger voice, less pain, less stress, and a stronger core, then start with this episode!
You don’t have to push your voice to be heard!
