What is confidence? Where does confidence come from? How do you build confidence?
In this episode, I'm joined by Tolu Oke and we discuss how to build confidence, what reduces confidence, and the impact of your environment on your confidence. We also answer a question from one of our Instagram followers - When is the right time to ask for a raise and is it appropriate to ask your male co-workers what they get paid?
Tolu is a keynote speaker, published author, and a graduate of Cambridge University with a wealth of experience in multiple industries. She has worked in the third sector, higher education, investment banking, and management consulting.
Tolu has led award-nominated, race-focused diversity and inclusion programs and customer campaigns for over 180,000 people and 26 million customers for the Sainsbury's Group. Tolu is listed as a Powerful Media Top 100 Black Future Leader (2011) and Ethnicity Award Future Leader (2020).

Winter is a former top civil litigator who has made her niche as an expert mediator. She is sought out for her unique, compassionate, and successful style of handling complex matters that involve a diverse range of cultures, including Spanish-speaking clients.
Most recently, Winter was a senior attorney at a prominent law firm, and it’s this extensive body of experience she brings into her current mediation practice that makes her work stand out. A graduate of Georgetown University and Tulane Law School, Winter has always combined her passions for culture, diplomacy, and the law.
Winter is the creator of The Four Cornerstones of Mediation™, which she introduced to the world in her first TEDx talk in March 2021. She is co-author of the bestselling book, #Networked. She is also the creator and host of The Mediate Now™ podcast.
