Benny was one of the most popular entertainers of the World War 2 era, with his popular radio show airing under various names and sponsors from 1932 to 1955 over CBS and NBC. In 1950, he took the show to CBS television and would continue with various specials well into the 1970s.
This episode was the last for singer Dennis Day before he left to serve in the U.S. Navy.
