Hurricane Helene was one of the most destructive storms I have ever seen as it hit Florida then Georgia North Carolina and parts of Tennessee and South Carolina. Areas were devastated and full time fishing guides were hit hard. Now, Hurricane Milton is approaching and looks to be even bigger and more powerful than Helene.
I got together with Hunter Leavine from Captains Collective to discuss the damage from Hurricane Helene and how we can all band together to help those affected. We tried to get this podcast out as fast as possible but even with an expedited edit, Hurricane Milton developed and is about a day away from impact in an area that was hit by Helene.
We tried to compile the information that I have collected and been sent with the information that Hunter had also collected and received.
It is inevitable that we left a lot of people out. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but more like the most up to date resource we could put together in an attempt to help those in need.
There will be so much more work to do as Milton looks to be a damaging event. I plan on trying to help those in need through the podcast as it is possible. Give what you can whether that is money, time, resources or just thoughts and prayers. Everything helps in my opinion.
