It's common for Christians to doubt their salvation and to doubt their faith. But through prayer and proper due diligence, you should come back to 100% confidence in your faith and your salvation.

Romans 10:9 says:"if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in yourheart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved,"

No more than that is needed. It's between you and God! If you believe in your heart/spirit/mind that Jesus is Lord and confess it with your mouth, you will be saved!

Immediate Gratification is a killer in our society. It kills our dreams, it kills our patience, it kills our peace, it kills our perseverance, and it can kill your future - you being the person God wants and created you to be.

Some things in life takes lots of patience and when we show impatience and give in to the quick gratification answers/choices, that shows that we lack Trust in God!

If what we are desiring and praying for are from God, then Trust He will accomplish them.

"But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow,[a] do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! ..." (Habakkuk 2:3)

Today we are going to talk about a quality that if you can master it, you will be so much more successful in all areas of your life. It’s opposite of what our culture teaches you – no surprise – it seems like everything that culture tells you is complete opposite of what you should do! Seriously!!!

God wants us to have patience. And when we have patience we can play the long game which is always better than playing for the short term!

    “Patience leads to abundant understanding,
but impatience leads to stupid mistakes.” Prov 14:29 (CEB – Common English Bible)

I’ve heard really successful entrepreneurs that are also social media celebrities if you will say that the NUMBER ONE question they get asked is – How do you deal with the haters?

And these questions are coming from people who are trying to do greater things in life, achieve more, take more risks, expose themselves to more “haters” by trying new things or by setting big goals.

And as Christians, we know we will face Haters but Jesus did and he was PERFECT!

    Ecc 7:21

Recently I watched the documentary : Agenda: Grinding America Down. A man named Curtis Bowers directed it in 2010 and it will blow you away when you watch It current day 2022. I mean it’s like back to the future where Curtis has been in present time and went back to 2010 to write and tell about it.

Then there is an Agenda 2: Masters of Deceit that was a follow up done in 2016. And again its crazy to see how much has happened that is spot on in this documentary! It’s scary! And it’s way to much to be just “coincidence”

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NLT)

10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. (NLT)

The older I get and the more life experiences I obtain, the more this passage hits me!  We all love the easy route and would love for the end result to be just a snap away but the truth is that's not how life works and that's not how God works!  We must be faithful in the little things to be entrusted with more!

    Wow...100 Episodes!!!

    Phil 4:8

And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. Phil 4:8 (TLB)

I know how hard it is for me to stay focused on Jesus and His truth – I’m an adult Christian and former Youth Pastor – So I know it’s that much harder for you young people out there! It’s not easy and it will be hard and it will be a daily decision you must make to stay focused!

For me personally...the times I've messed up the most in life were the times when I lost focus on Jesus and His Truths!  We need to fight daily to stay focused on Him!

  • Episode #99

    “Boo’s Don’t Block Dunks” – Kobe Bryant

Kobe was more focused on being a great basketball player than he was listening to all the hate and all the noise and all the distractions around him! He was a very gifted athlete but he was an extremely hard worker! He was relentless! He wanted to be so good that nobody could stop him.

Right now in our world, there is soo much noise for Christians and for people trying to do morally good things! And by noise, I mean distractions, false information, lies, distorted truths, haters, evil, etc. We are living in a very corrupt time and now is so important for you young Christians especially to be so focused and dialed in that you don’t get distracted! Don’t listen to the noise! Don’t get distracted! Don’t give any weight to others being negative towards you!

    Matt 27:27-31

27 Some of the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into their headquarters[a] and called out the entire regiment. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. 29 They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and struck him on the head with it. 31 When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified. (NLT)

    Matt 27:35-44

35-40 After they had finished nailing him to the cross and were waiting for him to die, they killed time by throwing dice for his clothes. Above his head they had posted the criminal charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews. Along with him, they also crucified two criminals, one to his right, the other to his left. People passing along the road jeered, shaking their heads in mock lament: “You bragged that you could tear down the Temple and then rebuild it in three days—so show us your stuff! Save yourself! If you’re really God’s Son, come down from that cross!”

41-44 The high priests, along with the religion scholars and leaders, were right there mixing it up with the rest of them, having a great time poking fun at him: “He saved others—he can’t save himself! King of Israel, is he? Then let him get down from that cross. We’ll all become believers then! He was so sure of God—well, let him rescue his ‘Son’ now—if he wants him! He did claim to be God’s Son, didn’t he?” Even the two criminals crucified next to him joined in the mockery. (Message)

We don’t just learn for the knowledge. You learn so that you can use it. All you in sports…when a coach critiques you or corrects your actions. He doesn’t just want you to have the knowledge. He wants you to apply that knowledge and do better next time!

When a boss or manager tells you how to do your task better or more efficiently. They don’t want you to say – oh ok. That’s nice. And then keep doing it the way you were doing it!! You have the knowledge to use!!

Same with parents, teachers, friends, …. Everyone! Every relationship you have – when someone gives you advice or asks you to do something or is teaching you something. It’s never for the sake of knowledge. They want you to apply that knowledge!

And Yep...God doesn't want us to just have knowledge.  He wants us to take Action and be Doers of His Word!

    James 1:22 (ESV)

“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only..." (ESV)

"Do what God’s teaching says; don’t just listen and do nothing. When you only sit and listen, you are fooling yourselves. (Easy-to-Read)

These days on Social Media you are constantly seeing posts by “influencers” and “brand ambassadors”. Well what exactly is that? Influencers are seen as someone who has influence over others. They have a large following or at least a following of people that want to hear what they have to say.

Brand Ambassadors may not have the same amount if influence as larger influencers but they have a following of people that respect their work or their knowledge in a particular field of expertise.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be Brand Ambassadors for Jesus!

20 We are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to   speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with   you, receive the love he offers you—be reconciled to God. 2 Cor 5:20 (TLB)

Please listen to part 1 (episode #94) 1st.   We realize we all will have some type of thorn in our flesh at some point in life.  This podcast we look at why and the purpose of the thorns.

    2 Cor 12:7

7 I will say this: because these experiences I had were so tremendous, God was afraid I might be puffed up by them; so I was given a physical condition which has been a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to hurt and bother me and prick my pride. (TLB)

    2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NLT)

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me . . . For when I am weak, then I am strong."

A saying I used to hear a lot growing up is “Thorn in my side” or “Pain in my side”

If you have never heard it or not sure what it means it’s just a saying to refer to something or someone who is annoying, frustrating, trouble, painful, etc. I think most people use it to refer to someone – Such and such person is a “thorn in my side” or “pain in my side!”

But sometimes it stuff – maybe it’s literally a physical condition that you live with that is constantly bothering you, annoying you, giving you frustrations, or pain – mental, physical, emotional, etc.

Sometimes we have “pains” that are very short lived and don’t last long. Others we might have for our entire lives!

Well guess what…that saying originates from the Bible. Paul referred to a thorn in his flesh.

    2 Cor 12:7

7 I will say this: because these experiences I had were so tremendous, God was afraid I might be puffed up by them; so I was given a physical condition which has been a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to hurt and bother me and prick my pride. (TLB)

We all have thorns!  Some short lived and others for life but it doesn't mean that God doesn't love you nor does it mean He loves you less than those around you!

This past week I heard the amazing story of Dakota Meyer who received that congressional medal of honor for his courageous actions during the Battle at Ganjgal in the war in Afghanistan 2009.

I had never heard the story before and man…it’s crazy. There needs to be a movie about it. But anyways. It really rocked my whole day. I couldn’t quit thinking about it.

His story of bravery and courage is incredible but what really struck me was his love for his fellow soldiers – both American and Foreign. They were his teammates and he was willing to sacrifice his life for them!

It reminded me of these Bible passages:

    John 15:13

"The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them." (GNT)

    Romans 5:8

“We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.” (Message)

One of the most fundamental and most important truths to remember about God is that He loves us! Loves us more than we can comprehend!  I know you listening have someone in your life that your love with all your being! But even that love isn’t as much as God loves us!

But think about this for a minute. The people that you love in your life…what to you want for them?  Do you want good and not evil for them? Sure you do! Do you want blessings and not curses?  Sure you do!  Do you what benefits them or what harms them? You want whats best for them or what’s worst for them?

Of course you want all the good things for them if you truly love them!

2 BIG keys to God answering our prayers…the way we want…is 1. Is it what’s Best for us? 2. And is the timing right?

God is working for our GOOD! TRUST that!!!

    Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. (NLT)

The prayer of Jabez can be a powerful prayer in your life as you strive to be and achieve all that God has created you for!  He refused to be a victim and wanted to achieve great things!

9 Jabez was more distinguished than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because she had such a hard time at his birth (Jabez means[a] “Distress”).

10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would wonderfully bless me and help me in my work; please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all evil and disaster!” And God granted him his request. (TLB)
