  • In this episode of Unleashed, Heidi Ganahl sits down with election integrity expert and Colorado advocate Mark Cook for a wide-ranging conversation on election transparency, government accountability, and what citizens can do to restore trust in the electoral process.

Mark shares his journey into election integrity work following the 2020 election, explaining how his background in technology and data analysis led him to investigate election systems across the country. He discusses his concerns about centralized election administration, voting machines, mail-in ballots, chain of custody issues, and the growing disconnect between citizens and the systems designed to serve them.

The conversation also turns to Colorado, where Heidi and Mark reflect on efforts to investigate election irregularities, the challenges citizens face when seeking transparency, and why they believe public confidence in elections continues to erode. They discuss former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, Governor Jared Polis' decision to commute her sentence, and what that means for the broader election integrity movement in Colorado.

Mark also provides an update on his nationwide "hand count roadshow," where he travels state to state educating citizens on election systems, helping local groups understand election processes, and encouraging Americans to become more engaged in protecting election transparency.

Finally, Heidi and Mark discuss campaign finance concerns, including allegations of "smurfing" contributions, questions surrounding Colorado's upcoming governor's race, and the importance of voters demanding accountability from candidates of every political stripe.

Whether you agree with every conclusion or not, this episode dives into one of the most debated issues in American politics today: how do we ensure elections remain transparent, trustworthy, and accountable to the people?

  • In this week's new episode of Unleashed with Heidi Ganahl, we confront Denver's worsening homelessness crisis head-on. Despite a staggering $274 million investment from 2021 to 2024, the situation has only deteriorated, sparking outrage and demanding accountability. This funding has largely been channeled into emergency shelter beds and temporary transition services, strategies that have proven insufficient in addressing the complexities of homelessness. As a result, Denver has seen the largest increase in homeless populations compared to other metro areas since 2018, indicating that these efforts have fallen short of their goals.

This episode will not shy away from the controversy. Joining us is Vanessa from Citizens for a Safe and Clean Denver to discuss the entrenched challenges and viable solutions, we'll also take you on a tour of Springs Rescue Mission in El Paso County, one of few success stories in this space. We delve deep into what some are calling the "homeless industrial complex," where the business of homelessness appears more profitable than solving it.

The question arises: Why are these nonprofits, flush with cash and resources, failing to produce better outcomes?

The Rocky Mountain Voice will share news from other reliable freedom loving voices in Colorado, as well as our own original content. We will provide citizens the information and knowledge they need to be educated and informed regarding policy and government, without the ridiculous liberal bias we haven’t been able to escape.

The Rocky Mountain Voice will create and aggregate content (we’re not competing with other conservative news outlets, we're supporting them). We won’t be run on advertising dollars, subscriptions or paywalls.

It’s free – all the content, all the time.

Rocky Mountain Voice will consist of a robust, constantly updated, online news center, RockyMountainVoice.com, with active social media engagement, podcasts, documentaries, and newsletters. And it’s not just about news, it’s about community, it’s about having fun again as conservatives. We’ll also host fun, engaging events across the state!

Our Mountain Minute newsletter will be a quick 5 minute read on the news of the day. Our weekly RMV newsletter will be a deeper dive and a compilation of the news from that week as it’s critical to keep all of you informed as often as the news changes.

Our goal with RMV is to provide reliable, quality news, build community and empower you as citizens!

  • In the midst of the pandemic, Colorado's legislature pushed through a little talked-about state-controlled plan that would majorly impact the delivery of healthcare services in Colorado. Why are some elected officials so eager to change things and put the government in charge?

Dr. Kelly Shockley and Dr. John Dygert joined me on Unleashed this week to discuss the problems with our current system and how they’re innovating a new healthcare future in our state.

The Truth Unleashed: Governor Polis and the Democratic leadership here in Colorado are on a mission to lead our state towards universal healthcare, or socialized medicine, that jeopardizes medical miracles with bureaucratic barriers and false promises for affordability.

The Lies Exposed: What’s so bad about the Colorado Affordable Health Care Option? Let’s take a look…

With unintended consequences to quality and access, it may force hospitals to eliminate some critical care functions. Health insurance premiums in the individual market went up 10% during the law's first year (2023) and are expected to rise again next year, contrary to promises of affordability. Insurers are leaving the exchange market, reducing options for Coloradans, despite its promises of accessibility. So far, only one-third of the individual plans and 80% of Colorado Option plans on the small employer’s market are hitting the state's targets. Government control in healthcare could jeopardize the existing high-quality care and innovation in Colorado's healthcare system. Colorado Democrats have even taken a unique step by providing state subsidies to 11,000 undocumented immigrants for their healthcare needs.

In contrast, a free-market approach to healthcare, combined with a direct primary care model, can offer a viable solution to our healthcare challenges. Here's how I propose we fix healthcare in Colorado:

Embrace free-market principles and encourage competition among healthcare providers, insurers, and pharmaceutical companies Grow a Direct Primary Care Model where patients pay a monthly subscription directly to their primary care physician Remove barriers to entry for healthcare providers Promote price transparency to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care Educate the public about their rights and options in a free-market healthcare system Establish a non-governmental group responsible for monitoring the impact of these changes Allow medical professionals to keep achieving remarkable results without red tape, overregulation, and government control

    How can we take action?

Seek Alternative Health Care Options: Consider exploring healthcare options outside the traditional medical system, such as chiropractic care like Dr. Shockley, concierge medical services like Dr. Dygert, or functional/integrative medicine that focuses on personalized, root-cause treatment. Advocate for Personal Health Choices: Encourage discussions, advocate for healthcare choices that align with personal values and principles, and seek healthcare providers who respect and accommodate these preferences. Adopt Healthier Lifestyle Practices: The current system thrives on us already being sick, so the best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to take control of your health! Implement healthier lifestyle choices, particularly in diet and exercise, and focus on teaching these values to your kids to instill healthy habits from a young age.
