Todayâs episode is very near and dear to my heart posters, and itâs because the #1 question I am asked is, âWhatâs one piece of advice you would give your younger self? And every single time Iâm asked this question; my answer is always the same. Trust your instincts.
Intuition, âgut feelingâ, instincts â whatever you want to call it â YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHATâS BEST FOR YOU.
And today, Podsters, weâre diving into the science behind intuition and how you can use this natural instinct to further your success.
Hereâs the science: Your brain is constantly processing information, even when you're not consciously aware of it (even while you're dreaming or binge-watching Netflix). Patterns, people, behaviors, facts, thoughts, dreams, all of it.
So, when you have this âfeelingâ or instinct and you feel like itâs coming out of nowhere â itâs not! Your subconscious is stepping up and stepping in to help you make these decisions based on everything youâve experienced, felt, and learned up until now. Even without your knowing.
You know that âgut feelingâ? Also backed by science. Your stomach is full of neurons (100 million of them, to be exact) that work with your mind to help you make decisions, often before you even realize what's going on.
Whether it's choosing a new hire, making a tough call at work, or deciding if that new job opportunity feels right, your gut is feeling the situation before your head catches up. Wild, right?
In todayâs episode, we talk about when you should trust youâre the feeling and when you should toss the feeling with a little game I call Trust or Toss?
Some of the best times to TRUST are when your safety is concerned, if itâs related to your health, a person who feels âoffâ to you, and the general bad vibes we sometimes feel. If something feels off Posters, it probably is.
When to Toss is not as obvious so letâs make sure youâre not mistaking genuine instinct with simply being uncomfortable. If youâre feeling iffy because youâre stepping out of your comfort zone, this could be a self-imposed roadblock youâve created to keep you feeling safe.
So, how do you balance trusting your gut with all the noise around you?
Learning to trust your instincts is a skill, and like any other skill, you can develop and master it over time. And todayâs episode is the first step as we share insights to help you step into that intuition and trust that you always know whatâs right for you.

Letâs face it, Podsters, every time you try to organize your life, it feels like youâve been sold a cookie-cutter solution that only makes things worse. Systems that look great in theory tend to crash and burn when faced with the reality of OUR lives. Itâs like trying to squeeze into a dress that was made for a different body, except now weâre drowning in paper, emails, and photos we donât even remember taking. Cue the overwhelm.
Today Iâve brought in an expert, Joann Krall, who LIVES to help people like us organize our lives. Weâre getting real about why most organizational hacks fail, why cookie-cutter systems are a total waste of time, and how to stop beating ourselves up for being âdisorganized.â
Hereâs what youâll enjoy hearing about today:
Overwhelm, anyone?: The root of your organizational crisis isnât your lack of timeâitâs your lack of the right system. When the overwhelm kicks in, itâs because youâre trying to use someone elseâs formula, and itâs just not working for you.
Let. It. Go.: If a system isnât working for you, cut it loose. Lifeâs too short to try to force a square peg into a round hole, right? Stop pretending youâre someone youâre not. Cookie-cutter solutions are NOT for you. Weâre diving into the mess, not avoiding it.
Purge with Purpose: Donât waste time psychoanalyzing yourself before you declutter. Make a quick decisionâfocus on what youâre getting rid of, not the why. Youâll have plenty of time for that later, trust me.
My new "Photo Friday" ritual: 20 minutes every Friday to clear out the 10,000 photos sitting in my iPhone so I can actually enjoy the photos I have taken
De-Clutter in Chunks: The âChipping Awayâ method is your new best friend. Forget about doing it all at once. Break it down into manageable micro-sections that you can knock out without wanting to pull your hair out.
Reality Check: New systems arenât working for you becauseâbrace yourselfâtheyâre not YOUR systems. Time to create systems that actually suit you.
How about we stop buying into someone elseâs idea of âorganizedâ and start creating systems that fit OUR life, OUR vibe, and OUR unique personality? Today, Podsters, we get real with your systems and get âer done on OUR terms.
If this episode hits you in all the right places, go ahead and subscribe, rate, and drop a review (or send me a DM because I love hearing from you). Also, if youâre on the right mailing lists (cough mine), youâll get tips that actually work. Just saying. JOIN HERE đ

Are you still making the same tired New Yearâs resolutions? Year after year, you swear this is the year youâll change⊠but then you find yourself right back where you started by February?
Well, guess what, Podsters? This episode is about to flip your New Yearâs resolution game on its head. Weâre getting real and weâre getting tacticalâbecause itâs time to break the cycle. In this episode, weâre diving into three simple (not-so-simple-to-execute) things you need to let go of in 2025 to start thriving at work, in your relationships, and in your life.
Time to cut the cord on those one-sided connectionsâwhether it's friends, family, clients, or coworkers. You know the ones: the relationships where youâre putting in 110% and getting back... nada. Zilch. Zero. If you're putting more energy into a relationship than you're getting back, itâs time for a serious reevaluation. Are you ready to stop carrying the emotional weight of everyone else? Because you deserve better.
No, weâre not telling you to lower your standards. But if youâve been holding on to unrealistic expectations for yourself (or others) that are just setting you up for frustration and disappointment... girl, itâs time to let that go. The constant cycle of âI should be doing this, I should be doing thatâ will only drain your soul. Instead, let go of that heavy burden and create space for realistic, aligned goals. Trust usâyouâll be a lot more productive (and a lot less stressed).
Letâs talk about the s-word: Should. "I should be exercising more." "I should be more organized." "I should be doing XYZ." Sound familiar? Well, guess what? "Should" comes with a side of guilt, shame, and obligationâand it doesnât do you any favors. Time to swap "should" for âwant toâ or âwould like to.â Itâs a game-changer, trust us. Itâs about moving from a mindset of shame to one of intentional action.
So, stop repeating the same tired resolutions year after year. Instead, make space for real change by letting go of whatâs holding you back. Focus on action. Focus on the things that will actually get you closer to where you want to be in 2025. Itâs time to break the patterns and step into your power.
Buckle up, Podsters. This is about to get real. Letâs make 2025 the year you thrive.

Podsters, weâre back! Welcome to 2025 and the first episode of Unmute Yourself, now in our fourth season. Itâs incredible how far weâve come, and weâre starting the year strong.
Todayâs episode is all about making sure youâre actually getting stuff done with your big ideas, instead of just dreaming about them (no shade on dreamers, but itâs time to level up, Podsters). Execution is where many of us get stuck, and thatâs why Kathleen Lawson, business strategist and fan favorite here at Unmute Yourself is back with us again today.
So, whatâs the secret sauce?
đ Stop Overloading Your Plate: We get itâyou're juggling a million things and doing it all. But listen, you canât do it all and still be fabulous. Kathleen sees so many people stalling because theyâre simply trying to take on way too much. Stop thatâletâs be smart, not overloaded.
đŻ Mindset Matters: Itâs all about doing, not just knowing. Sure, you know what you need to do, but are you actually doing it? If you're only stuck in planning mode, itâs time for a mind shift. Action over anxiety.
âł The 90-Day Rule: We often underestimate how much impact today can have on your future. Whatever youâre doing right now? Itâs going to show up in 90 days. Youâre planting seeds nowâletâs make sure youâre planting the right ones.
This isnât about magic. Itâs about strategy, mindset, and action. So, get out there, execute like the boss you are, and make your big ideas happen.
Time to stop just wishing, and start doing. Ready? Let's do this!
Letâs do this!

Podsters, itâs Christmas week, so happy holidays, happy new year, happy whatever you celebrate! With New Years Day right around the corner, I want to talk about how youâre bringing in the new year, specifically what youâre doing on January 1st.
Last year, I threw a big New Yearâs Day party, and this whole year ended up being way more non-stop than I wanted. So this time, Iâm switching it up: I signed up for a two-hour yoga workshop on January 1st. I kept resisting it, fearing something else might come along, but I decided to commit. For me, itâs about choosing ease over constant action, so I can head into 2025 with more balance.
Maybe you want to host a brunch, run a 5K, or just relax on the couch. Whatever it is, Iâm suggesting you think about how your New Yearâs Day plans could set the tone for the entire year. Letâs be intentional about it. Make sure you do something that aligns with the vibe you want for 2025.
Thatâs my wish for you, Podsters.

Hey Podsters â Youâve heard of the 12 days of Christmas, but what about 12 WAYS TO THRIVE in 2025?
Youâre ready for YOUR version of success. Hereâs the truth: success looks different at every stage of life. What fired you up in your 20s might not cut it now. And letâs be real; titles, money, or relationships alone will never feel like âenough.â
So, letâs break it down and figure out how to make sure you THRIVE in â25 - and how youâll really know when youâve made it.
Define Success, Your Way Stop measuring success with other peopleâs rulers. Ask yourself: What does success look like for you right now?
Build a Solid Support Crew You need real, strategic supportâpeople who challenge you, guide you, and help you hit those big goals.
Vision Board? Try a Vision Sketch Grab paper and sketch out your dream lifeâdown to the details. Bonus: Send me your sketches!
Write It Down Thinking isnât enough. Write down what success looks like and repeat it daily.
Ditch What Drains YouJoy isnât hiding in your endless to-do list. Tackle the tasks, set up systems, and remove what doesnât serve you.
Check-In Rituals Accountability is key. Find a partner or coach to track progress and celebrate winsâno self-judgment allowed.
Upgrade Your Inner Circle Surround yourself with people who challenge, inspire, and align with your vision. Energy matters.
Know Your Values Your values are your North Star. Get clear, write them down, and live them.
Cut the Toxic Ties You canât thrive with toxic people in your life. Make the hard choices.
Create a Joy List Schedule joy like you schedule work. Prioritize what makes you happy.
Forgive (And Let Go)
Forgiveness is for YOU. Release the energy they take but stay in control of who stays in your life.Grow Your Network Find people who inspire you to level up, challenge you, and align with your values.

Alright, Podsters, we all know the holiday season can get chaotic, but it doesnât have to leave you feeling stressed, overextended, or completely overwhelmed. So letâs break down what each of these really means:
Stress: This one feels like pressure. Itâs temporary and signals that youâre working through a challenge. Youâre still functional, but juggling a lot.
Overextended: This is the hard truthâitâs when youâve taken on more than you can handle. Somethingâs got to give.
Overwhelmed: The emotional rollercoaster. Overwhelm is consuming and can cause you to shut down entirely. Itâs the point where you just canât take another step.
Recognizing where you are on this spectrum is keyâit helps you navigate the holiday season with more intention and clarity.
So now that we know what these are, what can we do about it?
Here are three simple steps to take back your peace as you approach overwhelm:
Step 1: Sit in Stillness
Take 5-10 minutes to simply pause and breathe. This moment of stillness interrupts the cycle of overwhelm and allows you to reset and regain perspective. Just be for a few minutesâyouâll thank yourself later.Step 2: Map Out Your Calendar
Grab your calendar and write down every single commitmentâwork, personal, social, and even the "not-so-fun" stuff. Now, hereâs the big move: cancel THREE things. Yes, you heard me rightâTHREE! Let go of tasks or events that donât truly matter and focus on what does. Prioritize YOU.Step 3: Block Time for Yourself
This oneâs essential: carve out a few hours just for youâno agenda, no to-do list, just pure YOU. Whether itâs reading a book, taking a nap, or simply doing nothing, this time is non-negotiable for your well-being. And if you choose to spend that time wrapping presents or getting caught up â go for it!By making space for what truly matters, youâll protect your energy and avoid that dreaded year-end burnout. Letâs simplify, streamline, and enjoy the season together.

Podsters, letâs get real: ever notice how women leaders often get handed the wheel just as the ship is sinking? Every time we see a woman being tapped to lead during a crisis, itâs like, âSheâs got this! Sheâll turn it around!â But hereâs the thingâare they set up to succeed or just positioned for scrutiny?
Today, weâre diving into the phenomenon of the âglass cliff.â Unlike the glass ceiling that keeps women from reaching leadership, the glass cliff is when women finally do get those top rolesâŠbut often in times of major crisis, where the odds are stacked against them. Think of Marissa Mayer at Yahoo, Linda Yaccarino at X, or even Kamala Harris navigating national chaos. These are smart, talented womenâso why do they so often get handed a mess to clean up?
Weâre unpacking why this happens and, most importantly, what you can do if you find yourself in a glass cliff situation. Here are three crucial questions to ask before taking on any role that feels a little too high-stakes:
Whatâs the realistic chance of success? Look at the resources, the timeline, and the state of the organization.
Why me? Are you being chosen because they believe in you, or because theyâre hoping for a Hail Mary? Understanding the âwhyâ can give you valuable insight.
Whatâs the personal impact if I donât succeed? From your career trajectory to your mental health, weigh the risks and rewards for youâbecause this is about more than just your resume.
Remember to listen to that inner voice, too. If the role doesnât feel right, trust yourself. Just because youâre offered a high-profile role doesnât mean you have to take it, especially if it seems more like a setup than an opportunity.
So buckle up, Podsters! Weâre digging into the glass cliffâhow to spot it, navigate it, and protect yourself while still seizing the career you deserve.

Hey there, Podsters! With the holiday season gearing up, itâs that time of year when the to-do lists get longer than a CVS receipt. Goals, gatherings, gift wrapping, and maybe a touch of seasonal burnout - sound familiar?
So, whatâs the antidote to all this chaos?A strategic pause. Nope, this isnât about dropping everything and running off to an island (though that sounds amazing, right?). This is about intentionally stepping back, not to quit but to realign and regroup.
Think of it as a refresh button for your life and career. Like a solid eight hours of sleep for your ambitions, a strategic pause recharges you. Itâs your chance to recalibrate, reconnect with your purpose, and figure out your next moves - minus the overwhelm.
Letâs talk strategy: My favorite way to do this is with a âlove, hate, mehâ list. Yup, itâs exactly what it sounds like. What lights you up about your work? What drains the life out of you? And whatâs just⊠meh? This exercise cuts through the noise and gives you crystal-clear direction on what deserves your energy and what needs to be shown the door (or delegated, stat).
Athletes donât build resilience by training nonstop; they do it through strategic recovery. And guess what? The same goes for us. Setting boundaries, protecting your mental headspace, and honoring downtime isnât just self-care; itâs smart. And hereâs a big one: revisit your âwhy.â Our motivations evolveâjust like we do. What you wanted three years ago might not be your driver anymore, and thatâs perfectly okay. Priorities shift, and so should your game plan.
So, if youâre caught in a hamster wheel of hustle, this is your sign to take a breather. Hit pause, refocus, and make sure youâre running toward what you love, not away from what exhausts you.Tell me, Podsters: When are you scheduling your strategic pause? Letâs chat, reset, and head into this season ready to thrive.

Todayâs episode is very timely and very personal, Podsters.
Iâm joined today by Cara Houser, a powerhouse advocate for prioritizing what matters and together weâre calling out burnout and digging into how we can take back control.
Forget the endless grind-this episode is all about making room for joy, setting boundaries that work for us, and, yes, taking a breather when life feels chaotic. We are unpacking the reality of balancing big ambitions with the need for self-care, especially when lifeâs a little chaotic.
Boundaries, life-work blending, self-possession: Caraâs practical wisdom shows us why taking care of ourselves isnât just a luxury; itâs essential if we want to keep showing up as our best selves.
So hereâs to blending, not balancing, and setting boundaries that work for us-not against us so we can say goodbye to burnout and hello to a more aligned, joyful life.

Should I stay or should I go?Weâve all been there Podsters, feeling like something's not quite right. Yet not sure if weâre having a rough day or if itâs time to make a big change. For me, this feeling is unsettling - kind of like driving the car when it starts making a strange noise. Uh-oh. Is this bad? Is it nothing? Should I turn up the radio and ignore? Should I take this seriously and pull over to check under the hood?As I said...very unsettling. This happens in our lives as well and here's the thing: If youâre not listening to your instincts, youâre missing out on some of the best advice youâll ever get, from the person who knows you better than anyone - YOU.What if that gut feeling isnât coming through loud and clear? Well then it's time to really listen to your loved ones. They know you well, and sometimes they see things about us that we canât (or wonât) see ourselves. Years ago when I was working in a very toxic, unhealthy work environment, it was a comment from my step-son that got me to stop and truly think. If your warning light is going off, or you're hearing some knocking and pinging in your head; it's up to YOU to figure out if you should stick it out or start making moves. Here are three tell-tale signs that can help you to find the clarity you need:1ïžâŁ Youâre Constantly Behind-Like, All. The. Time.2ïžâŁ You Feel Yourself Changingâand Not for the Better3ïžâŁ Someone You Trust Says, âGet Over ItâNow that you know the signs, hereâs what to do about it:1ïžâŁ Give Yourself Some Grace.2ïžâŁ Reevaluate Your Choices.3ïžâŁ Phone a Friend. When you realize itâs time to go, celebrate that awareness. Take a breath, give yourself grace, and remember you donât need to rush into the next thing. Recognizing the need for change is the first step toward making it happen.

Podsters, today weâre talking about the perils of being "overly agreeable" (a.k.a. people-pleasing) in leadership.
We've all been there, right? That moment when you nod along in a meeting, even when your gut is screaming, "Seriously?!" Itâs called being "overly agreeable" (a nicer way to say people-pleasing), and while it sounds harmless, itâs about as useful as a screen door on a submarine when it comes to stepping up as a leader. And this applies to everyone Podsters, whether you're running the show, climbing the ladder, or running your own business; bending over backward to keep everyone happy can cause more chaos than it cures.
Spoiler alert: it's not your job to be everyone's emotional support person.
So, what's a recovering people-pleaser to do? Here are three ways to kick the overly agreeable habit to the curb:
Keep It Real: Be Authentically You, Even When Itâs Uncomfortable
Know who you are and the kind of leader you want to beâthen stick to it like glitter on a craft project. Someone on your team sending late-night emails like they're auditioning for a role in "Burnout: The Musical"? That doesn't mean you need to chime in at 2 AM. You get to set the tone for your team and you donât have to let someone else's chaos become your status quo.Business Isn't Personal (Unless We're Talking Coffee Choices)
Of course, you want a happy team - we all do! So letâs make sure you donât let your quest for workplace harmony turn into a free pass for bad behavior. One of my clients made the mistake of being overly agreeable with a drama-inducing employee, which basically made the workplace a soap opera. The result? Delays, disarray, and a whole lot of "Why does this keep happening?" IT IS YOUR JOB to address the bad behavior, set clear expectations and then hold people accountable.Rip the Band-Aid Off: Address Issues Before They Get Weird
Yes, those tough conversations are about as fun as a root canal, but avoiding them is like letting a leak drip until you're knee-deep in water. One of my clients learned this the hard way by avoiding a tricky employee. She was worried that calling out the behavior wouldnât seem "respectful." The result? She lost credibility and contributed to the chaos on her team. Respect isn't about making everyone feel warm and fuzzyâsometimes it's about having the confidence to say, "This isn't working, and we need to fix it."At the end of the day, leadership isn't about making everyone like you. Hey, Podsters! Have you heard the expression, âFeedback is a giftâ? Sure, sometimes feedback shows up at our door as a beautifully wrapped present, but other times... It's more like an unsolicited mystery package that leaves you scratching your head about the sender.
People love to give feedbackâpartners, clients, bosses, even random strangers. And while a lot of it is super helpful, letâs be real: not all feedback comes from a place of positive intent. So, how do you figure out which advice to embrace and which to toss straight into the metaphorical trash?
Today, weâre unpacking how to process feedback without letting it impact your mental health. The key? Understand where the feedback is coming from. First, assess the other personâs values, intent, and perspective. Are they offering insights to support your growth? Or are they projecting their stuff onto you? Because heads up, not all feedback is about you.
Iâll share some personal stories todayâincluding one from my early leadership days that seriously shifted my career trajectory. Spoiler alert: I wasnât always comfortable with not knowing all the answers, but one piece of advice helped me embrace the leader I am today.
Itâs not about growing thicker skin. Nope. Itâs about learning how to process feedback without giving it too much headspace. Youâve got to filter feedback as data pointsâsome are valuable, and others are not so much.
So buckle up, Podsters! Letâs dive into how you can use feedback like a boss, stay true to yourself, and grow into the best version of yourselfâwithout letting the noise slow you down.

Hey there, Podsters! Quick question for you: If doctors, pro athletes, and scientists use visualization to transform health, boost performance, and hit major goals, why arenât we doing the same for our own lives? It's time to change that, Podsters and thatâs exactly what we are going to do today.
Today, weâre talking about the magic of acting as if you've already achieved your goals. Thatâs right - and this isnât just woo-woo âitâs backed by science. Whether itâs performance coaches with athletes or doctors guiding patients to better health, the dataâs clear: When you act like youâre already living the life of your dreams, your subconscious gets on board and starts making moves in that direction.
So, how do you do it? First, get crystal clear on your goals. Donât just say, âI want a better careerâ or âI want to be healthier.â Nope - weâre talking specific details here. Visualize what your day-to-day life looks like when youâve hit that goal. What are you wearing? Who are you talking to? How are you feeling? Get all up in those details, and watch your brain start rewiring itself for success.
Why does this work? Simple: confirmation bias. When you start acting as if youâve already got the job, the lifestyle, the whatever it is youâre after, your brain begins pulling in people, situations, and opportunities that match that belief. You stop waiting for life to happen and start living like it already has. Sounds like magic, but it's science.
Letâs say youâre switching careers. The moment you start âacting as if,â youâll find yourself networking with new people, stumbling on the right job posts, and suddenly, that âimpossibleâ leap doesnât seem so far-fetched. The same goes for health, relationships, financesâyou name it. Visualize, act as if, and your reality will start shifting to match.
So buckle up, Podsters, because today weâre diving into the game-changing mindset shift that turns âsomedayâ into today. Get ready to stop dreaming and start doing by tapping into the power of âacting as if.â

Hey Podsters! Ready to level up your public speaking game? Whether it's the boardroom, a client presentation, or even a networking event, owning the room can make all the difference for you personally and professionally.
Today, weâre talking about how to leave a lasting impactânot just with what you say, but with how you make people feel.
Here are three game-changing tips to help you do just that.
Know the Room
I know, sounds basic, right? But this little detail is everything. Knowing the physical space can turn a good presentation into an unforgettable one. Check out the venue online ahead of time. Is it full of windows? You might need darker slides. Is the AV setup tricky? Get there early, do a sound check, and get familiar with where people will be sitting. Trust me, even something as small as a room layout change can throw you off your game if youâre not prepared. Pro tip: Let people know what to expect. If the roomâs cold, remind folks to bring a sweater. Far from the elevator? Tell âem to wear comfy shoes. These small touches matter more than you think!Connect with the Room
And by "the room," I mean the people in it. Send out a quick questionnaire before the eventâfind out who they are, what they care about, or the kind of jargon they use. When you step on stage, start with a story. Whether it's a travel mishap, a funny experience, or something current, stories break the ice and make you memorable. People donât remember bullet pointsâthey remember feelings. So, make them feel connected from the jump.Engage with the Room
Interaction is key. Ask questions like, "How many of you have heard of this concept?" Raise your hand, nodâdo something that gets people involved. If you see them drifting or scrolling through their phones, reel them back in with a phrase like, "I know weâre all busy, but what Iâm about to say is really important." And if all else fails? Mix it up! Have them chat in groups or do something interactive. Keeping people engaged will make sure youâand your presentationâare unforgettable. So next time you step up to present, remember: Know the room. Connect with the room. Engage with the room.
These tips are tried and true, and I promise theyâll help you own any stage.
Until next time, go out there and own that room, Podsters!

And sheâs back again today Podsters giving us allllll the tips and practical advice so we can shore up our energy as we head into our busy fall lives.
Brenda is a subconscious mindset coach and energy mentor who helps women break through to the next level in business and in life; and today we are talking all things energy. How to get find, harness and protect your precious energy and in particular - how to identify and stop your energy leaks. This is a crucial topic as we move into fall and the holidays because I know you know Podsters - very soon our energy will start to drain as we manage competing priorities, the holiday season, all of it.
Too often, we ignore the importance of protecting our energy, even though we know how important it is to ensure we have enough left over for our own needs and lives.
Today, we share what creates energy leaks, such as people-pleasing, repeating patterns of behavior that donât serve us, and having weak or no boundaries. Whether overt or covert, these behaviors can drain your energy, impact your life, and lead to the dreaded burnout.
Not to mention holding on to past regrets, resentments, and unresolved issues, which also consume mental and emotional energy.
We are also sharing one of my favorites all time Brenda nuggets for how to manage our energy â observe, donât absorb. Yes, itâs that simple and we dig deeper into how to observe whatâs happening around you, without letting the situation occupy your precious mind space!
We share practical tips for energy management, from clearing physical clutter to help with mental and emotional clarity to setting realistic expectations for yourself and for others.
Winter is coming, Podsters and itâs the perfect time to tidy up your mind, the space where you "live 24/7."

This has been weighing on my mind so we are bringing it back and jumping back to episode #1 with debunking imposter syndrome. You are having a feeling, not a medical condition. Feelings are not facts. They are a temporary experience. A feeling. So now that we know this...what do we do?
In this episode, we talk about how to recognize, deal with, and prevent future feelings of being an imposter. Spoiler alert - men feel it too. The difference? They take action anyway.
Ready to move out of imposter feelings, here are the 3 Râs for success:
Remember â Remember that imposter syndrome is just a thought, not reality. Itâs something many people feel, even the most successful. Donât let it trick you into thinking you donât belong.
Recall â When doubt creeps in, recall your wins, the skills youâve built, and everything youâve already achieved. Youâve done it before, and you can do it again.
Reframe â Reframe those negative thoughts into positive affirmations. Instead of âIâm not good enough,â tell yourself, âI bring something unique, and thereâs room for me.â
