Welcome back to Vile And Horrendous. First day in shorts on the show, and the first time I've ever worn what I woke up in. I'm also still trying to quit smoking, off and on, and I'm starting to think about slowing down the drinking too. We'll get to that.
I also got a new car after trading in my Bronco, which apparently means all of you saying shitty stuff about me on the internet is somehow working in my favor. I show off one of the more unhinged DM requests I've gotten lately, and officially announce that I'm done trying to be diplomatic on this show.
We Salute You returns to give Jack Daniels and booze in general its proper tribute, before I get into the real reason I'm considering some form of soberness and the surprisingly emotional case for why drinking has also been one of the best things in my life.
Then it's time for a You're Wrong about the UFC fight at the White House and the pile-on aimed at my friend Nate Bargatze. I make my case for why taking a picture with somebody doesn't mean you're complicit in everything they've ever done. We then close with a ranch-flavored What A World headline and a Pig Talk story about the single greediest, most punchable boss you'll hear about this week.

Welcome back to Vile And Horrendous. I'm in a mood this week, and I can't tell you why. What I can tell you is that quitting smoking is awful and I resent the entire experience.
I kick things off with a retraction: two episodes ago I declared Hollywood dead and movie theaters were nothing but a con job. Then I went and saw Masters of the Universe and had a genuinely good time. Hat's off where it's due. But, I also have a protraction, see the movie cost $200 million and has made $60 million. Meanwhile Obsession had a $750,000 budget and made $229 million. Hollywood, do the math and learn the right lesson!
From there we debut a brand new segment called We Salute You, where for once I'm building something up instead of tearing it down. Today's subject: evil. All the best music, movies, food, and sports moments come from evil, and I will die on that hill. Eazy-E, Gordon Ramsay, Ray Kroc, and the Eagles Super Bowl comeback all make the case.
Flight Log returns with three headlines that together tell one very depressing story about where air travel is headed. Spoiler: The fix is already in and we might already be fucked.Then we move on to some headlines, a university president in Taiwan who told his graduates to end themselves if they couldn't cut it, a woman who banned herself from casinos for life and then won a jackpot, and a TV star being haunted online by a high school photo that I'm calling a nothing burger.
And we close with a Pig Talk story from a guy named Moose, who spent the early years of his marriage doing things at bars that I cannot defend. His closing thought on the matter will make your jaw drop.

Welcome back to Vile And Horrendous! Big news this episode...we finally settle on a name for the crew in the other booth. We went through the submissions you supplied us with and a winner is declared...well, sort of.
From there, I get into lime scooters, which have officially crossed the line from annoyance to public safety hazard. A drunk British woman in Australia hopped on one and killed a man. The judge's closing statement to her is possibly the greatest sentence I've ever heard in my life. I'll let you hear it for yourself.
Then I finally make good on a promise from a couple episodes back and declare war on progressive parenting.

Welcome back to Vile And Horrendous, it's the first time we've recorded before noon, and I have to say the energy is different. Whether that's good or bad, you can decide.
This episode has a spine running straight through it, and that spine is: everybody is ripping you off and lying to your face about it. It starts with me seeing "The Mandalorian and Grogu" on opening day like a complete idiot, which launches us right into why I have done a complete 180 on AI destroying Hollywood. I know. I'll explain.
From there, I tear into the full movie theater experience and I mean all of it. The concession prices, the commercials before the movie, the people who talk through the whole thing. I also have photographic evidence that steak and lobster at Sizzler is cheaper than movie theater popcorn and a soda. Not a bit. A fact. I also go after the airlines credit card pimping at 30,000 feet, TSA Precheck, and the slow death of any dignity left in air travel. It all ties together, trust me. And finally, some headlines, including an update on Igor the seal-rock guy, who now has an explanation for himself. It doesn't help him.

In this episode, I kick things off with some surprisingly good news from my blood work, which makes absolutely no sense given what I was doing the week before. From there, I tackle the idea that Hollywood and Washington are literally the same industry. They've economized ethics and they have monetized morality. I mean, Biden signed with CAA, Chelsea Handler bought a house from RFK...they're all in bed together despite appearances and I've got the receipts.
I also react to a fresh batch of headlines I haven't seen before, including Britney Spears doing exactly what you'd expect in an LA restaurant, a tourist who thought a Hawaiian monk seal had it coming, and a South Korean temple that just ordained a robot monk.
And we close out with some Pig Talk, a brewery worker with a rage-inducing story about a toddler and a sarcastic dad, and a listener whose drinking days took a particularly disgusting turn. You'll see.
