    Now is the time when cutting carbs, going gluten free, getting rid of dairy, going carnivore, doing the Daniel fast, and all the other kick start diets are usually in full force. I love that my church kicks off each new year with a 3 week fast. It's up to the individual on what they feel led to fast, and naturally, certain kinds of food fasting gets picked. Which, honestly, I think is great. It's biblical and God calls us to it. And I'll say right here at the start - eliminating certain foods has its biological benefits in addition to the spiritual. And depending on how you do it or what you're taking out, there can be drawbacks. The biggest issue that I see is how people transition from those kinds of plans, diets, and fasts. Today I'm covering how different elimination diets affect you, how to do them well, and how to transition off of them to take advantage of them to the fullest for continued health and well being. I will be using the elimination of sugar and going carnivore as specific examples at the end! I have varied in my approach to healthy eating over the years and one thing has stayed the same - I do not skimp on my holiday meals, PARTICULARLY Thanksgiving.
