She traveled to Calcutta to meet Mother Theresa; journeyed to South Africa to witness the AIDS pandemic; assisted over 25 women in giving birth; and helped others prepare for their deaths. Kim co-authored Lasting Gifts: Living with Intention and Dying in Peace, created a Card Deck, Spirit Whispers and published her memoir, Spirit Embraced: A Guiding Memoir for a Life Authentic and Free, which won a 2019 Nautilus Award and a 2020 American Bookfest Award.
Kim received her BA from the College of St. Benedict and Masters in Spirituality from Seattle University. She received the College of St. Benedict’s 2016 Service Award and 1992 Decade Award, and is the 2010 Laureate of the Greater Tacoma Peace Prize.
