In this episode, we have the profound honour of sharing Denise Conway's story—a narrative she courageously chose to tell through us. The term "brave" is frequently used, but it unequivocally applies to Denise in every sense. Her bravery shines through in her decision to report her sexual assault, navigating the deeply challenging process of examinations, inquiries, and a legal trial. It's seen in her resilience to live life with the fullest, as a proud mother, a loving sister and daughter, happily married to a man she sees as a blessing. Episode 2 of Series 3 and Annmarie and Katie were joined in the studio by Tara Thompson. Tara is a trauma informed yoga & meditation teacher (in training) who recently rediscovered her love of writing and is presently in the middle of editing her memoir, The Quest, A Healing Journey from Trauma. The conversation took our hosts and guest deep into Tara's life, especially the last chapter as she went from 'last one standing' party girl to the much quieter and thoughtful mindfulness practitioner and writer. Tara had always felt that something wasn't quite right and it was only when she stepped onto the path of healing and self-love that she discovered something terrible had happened in her past. Tara had buried her childhood abuse but if she really wanted to heal, as painful as it was, she was going to have to dig it all back up again.

Today's episode of Where do I go from here? we have the incredible Anita Meenehan, sharing her truly extraordinary story of how she managed to turn her family’s horrific tragedy into a powerful life philosophy that focuses on helping others.
On a morning in April, 1995 Anita was woken up by the smell of smoke. Her house was on fire and in it were her mother, her 4 year old brother, and her babies - one of which was only 12 weeks old at the time. Devastatingly, her mother and brother did not survive the blaze.
Anita explains the trauma and the grief that she experienced over the years. It was her new responsibility to take care of her siblings that kept her alive, although she felt like she died with the fire.
One day, something changed, and she found her strength again. She wanted to live her life again, in honour of her mother.
Anita is a powerful, kind woman who's mission is to help anyone that is in need.
This was a truly inspiring conversation.
