We finally round out the ever-changing perspectives on the "The boot" analogy, compare/contrast Holden and Miller, and talk about why the moment Amos kills Semi stood out to us.
This ends out our coverage for Season 1! We spent a lot of time talking about how excited we were to talk about the later seasons, but it really was fun to return back to season 1 and appreciate all the groundwork they're laying. Thanks for sticking with us this far. We'll be back, better than ever for season 2 sooner than you think! Or later, knowing us.

We spend more time on Earth than we have the entire season as we discuss Avasarala's growth and Earth's lack of self-awareness before Drummer and Naomi take center stage again in our hearts and on our screens.
Cat's thoughts this episode can be summed up with "Let's talk about Earth." and "Oh, I think you actually made me enjoy this episode more." after hearing Nina's thoughts.
Nina's thoughts can be summed up with "I know I said the past two episodes were the best of the show, but this episode is also the best!"

Cat fights her technical difficulties, while Errinwright finally gets his time in the spotlight on the podcast! We dive deep into the politics this week when we discuss Eros and how government officials seem to view it, how the show handles death of minor characters, and the role that Mormons and religion play within the narrative.

Nina and Cat don’t even bother with the pretense of a timer this week! Naomi’s personal arc comes full circle here, as evidenced through Nina’s analysis of her musical themes. Meanwhile, Cat tries to find a way to say that the way they film Keon makes him look otherworldly, without being made fun of by Nina (instead she chose to hide it in the episode description). Somewhere in between all of that, we discuss the episode’s structure and what these conversations mean within the context of everyone’s relationships.

Cat and Nina have a lot to say about the whole Pella squad+Naomi, and everyone's favorite lesbian aunt/Naomi's ex: Camina Drummer. We also break down Amos' arc: are we replicating earlier parts of his journey, or finally concluding a long-running arc? Between him and Clarissa, who's teaching who?

Nina gives up on Naomi/Amos (but only a little bit) and Cat gets mad that Holden isn't a radical hippie leftist and that his parents aren't running a massive commune. We also overanalyze almost every character's decisions, as usual! There is also a small spoiler warning at 1:06:00 that lasts for five minutes but won't impact your viewing experience.

We have a meaty episode for you this week! Cat and Nina analyze the cracks in Amos and Naomi's relationship and get sad when they realize that this is a turning point for them. We also do a serious scene breakdown on the episode MVP: Anderson Dawes and his heartbreaking story after discussing the EXCELLENT quote "Can only live so long with the boot to our necks...someday, things gonna change...a man's gotta stand up." As is quickly becoming our motto: This will be on the exam.

Cat and Nina worked tirelessly over the new year to get this out. Naomi, Marco, and Filip's space opera family drama intensifies (the Skywalkers WISH they could just be trapped on a ship while making intensely emotional references to their shared pasts), Cat fails to find anything to say about the Martians, and Nina celebrates Drummer's status as an official FACTION LEADER.
Questions, comments, and concerns should be referred to Dominique Tipper and Keon Alexander because we consider them to be honorary members at this point. Wes can send his strongly worded letter to Nina. Send your thoughts to [email protected] or @whoownsthestars on Twitter.

Everybody gets talked about today! From Bobbie to the family reunion, we have THOUGHTS (but what's new?)
If you also have THOUGHTS, give them to us at [email protected] or @whoownsthestars on Twitter!

The Expanse: BACK TO THE BUTCHER is a great slasher movie sequel. It's also a fun episode of CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED TELEVISION ADAPTATION "The Expanse".Cat and Nina grapple with Fred Johnson's journey and his arc in his own short story, rioting on Ceres, and Holden's big goofy smile at Naomi.
Thoughts are welcome! Email us at [email protected] OR find us on Twitter @whoownsthestars.

Nina's in a frenzy, Cat is vibing, and CAMINA DRUMMER IS IN A POLYCULE! We are failures in that we didn't fit Bobbie Draper in, but trust...she will be discussed soon.
Sorry to all 12 people who were waiting on this episode! Please direct your complaints to Cat at [email protected] or @whoownsthestars on Twitter. Nina will also be available to take compliments.

In the final supersized episode, Cat and Nina actually manage to start discussing the episodes within the first 15 minutes! We spend plenty of time talking about Naomi and Amos' relationship, Mars' relationship with Earth (as seen through Holden and Lt. Lopez), and how many times you should move the goalposts while trying to convince people to stick with the show. Exciting stuff!
As always, we can be reached at [email protected] and @whoownsthestars on Twitter.

Who the hell are Cat and Nina and why do they have a podcast? Find out in the first episode of Who Owns the Stars!
We explain why we’re doing this (the answer will shock you) and what we find interesting about the show. We’re hitting the ground running with a long episode to make sure we cover the first two episodes of the show: 1.01 “Dulcinea”, and 1.02 “The Big Empty”. If you need to split it, the discussion of the first episode ends at 53 minutes.
We give you a light recap, analyze Miller’s fashion sense, and if nothing else, make each other laugh. In between all that, we actually talk about the show. We’d love to hear what you think: direct all praise to Cat, and all critiques to Nina, both at [email protected] or @whoownsthestars on Twitter!

Cat loses her mind, Nina keeps a cool, logical head, and we both try to predict what we think will happen during season five. Cat realizes halfway through that it's a hard discussion to have when you don't wanna spoil your recording partner, who has valiantly decided to read along with the podcast.
Cat has refused to listen to this episode because she thinks that means she can't feel embarrassed about it later.
Thoughts, praise? Email Nina at [email protected]. Criticism and shady jokes should be directed to Cat, also at [email protected]. If you're feeling brave, you can talk to us at @whoownsthestars on Twitter, where the writer's room admitted (in their own inscrutable way, in the response that was entirely unrelated to the podcast) that we're hilarious!
