    In our concluding episode, we will continue exploring the remainder of the trial, more questionable tactics, and misrepresentation of evidence by the prosecution. Then finally the verdict, along with the reactions and responses that followed.

    Our goal in sharing Zach’s case is not just showing how one man’s life has been upended unfairly, but also showing how the system we trust with our lives and the lives of those we love, is broken. Corruption exists and it will continue to exist unless we, the people, step in and demand change. It may not affect you today, but what happened to Zach could happen to you, to someone you love. Something needs to change and we hope by sharing these wrongful convictions, we can make some kind of difference in bringing awareness to this problem in our justice system. This goes into the local officials we elect, how seriously we take our civic duty when assigned to a jury, and keeping these institutions accountable.

    February 28, 2023, media cameras would be set to capture the trial, under the headline “The obsessed ex-boyfriend murder trial”. Notably, law & crime and court tv would be streaming it live on YouTube as many trial watchers and true crime addicts tuned in to watch the teased love triangle murder case unfold before their very eyes. Immediately, speculation on which celebrity Zach resembled was made and armchair psychologists began throwing out their diagnoses. In this episode, we will explore the rest of the witness testimony we haven’t yet discussed, some eyebrow-raising moments, and finally, the verdict and subsequent reactions.

    Zach was alone and his bail was high. He knew as soon as he fronted the bail money they would look for another charge to hold him on while they tried to build up murder charges. So he waited. Eventually, 7 months later they would find something they could use. They would find one area with trace DNA that they believed belonged to Rosalio Gutierrez. This finding would lead to homicide charges being filed against Zach in December of 2020, along with a charge of hiding a corpse. In this episode, we will explore this DNA and the building of the case by the DA’s office.

    In this episode, we will explore the events unfolding shortly after the crime scene is discovered by Sadie on May 19th. We’ll be taking a look at the evidence found and discuss the investigative efforts conducted by the police. What was found in Rosalio’s apartment? What was found by police in their searches? We’ll also be giving our thoughts on some of the evidence that the trial by media crowd would end up using against Zach.     In this episode we want to explore more about the missing man, Rosalio Gutierrez, who was known by many of those close to him, as “Jr.” We don’t have much information about his background other than what is public record, but we have been able to learn from statements of those close to him, that he was well loved and had many friends who described him as a great person and a great father who loved his kids very much. We will explore Rosalio’s background, relationships,and the events of the days prior to his disappearance.

    In the case we are about to review, you will see how what starts as a child custody battle, evolves into something much deeper. In this episode, we will be diving into Zach’s background and through the dissolution of his relationship with Sadie Beacham, that led to the accusation of murder.

    Many of you may have heard of the trial of Zachariah Anderson, or as described by some news outlets, the “obsessed ex-boyfriend trial”. But if you are brand new to this case, Zachariah Anderson we convicted this March, on two counts of stalking, homicide, and hiding a corpse. He was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend and of murdering said boyfriend. No body was ever found and Zach maintains his innocence. Listen along with us as we review this case and look at the evidence and decide for yourself

    Wrongful seeks to offer a public defense for wrongfully accused and wrongfully convicted individuals. Our first case is out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

    Zachariah Anderson, or “Zach”, wanted to testify, but he was urged by his attorneys to utilize his fifth amendment right. He put his trust in the system that was put in place to protect the innocent, thus his story never was heard. We are here to tell his side of the story.

    We will be utilizing the information from the trial, looking at the evidence presented, scrutinizing testimonies, reviewing unseen evidence, and information we learned about Zach from his own journals and from interviews with his family.
