In this episode I talk about setting up private practice and share my tips and thoughts. I also share why I had to leave my office as it is something people often ask me. Please note that I talk about insurance and professional body membership in this episode, this is relating only to the UK as each country will have their own requirements and professional organisational criteria.

I am back today with an episode where I explore why counselling training is so nerve wracking. Whether you are nervous about returning to your course or nervous to make a start, this is for you.
If you are interested in starting some training and are based in Devon you might like to take a look at the college that I run with my business partner Simon.

Financially things are tight right now for so many, with this in mind I wanted to record this very ad hoc episode to talk off the cuff about supervision whilst on placement and why it might not be as important as you think looking for a placement that provides supervision. Let me talk you through the pro's and con's.

I was contacted by a lovely listener called Laura, she asked if I could tell my story about what my Level 2 Course was like, how I managed my work life balance, if I have any top tips and more. Today, off the back of Laura's question I share my training story from my Level 2 Certificate in Counselling, to Level 3 through to my Diploma in Counselling. I also speak in depth about the struggles I faced along the way with managing time, placements and more. With thanks to Laura, I hope this hits the mark for you.

Today, my friend (and business partner) Simon Heath and I discuss all things training related, including what we think is important to look for in a training college, whether online counselling training works and why the getting the right environment for training is so important. Whether you are looking at Level 2 Courses or embarking on a Diploma we hope this helps.
