Booked Up with Jen Taub features intimate interviews with nonfiction authors. Jen’s guests include writers of current bestsellers and beloved backlist books. Conversations cover love, money, politics, early dreams, writing habits, reading tastes, procrastination techniques, self-doubt, and news of the day.
Creator and host, Jen Taub is a law professor, advocate, and author. Her nonfiction books include BIG DIRTY MONEY (Viking 2020) and OTHER PEOPLE’S HOUSES (Yale Press 2014). She focuses on “follow the money” matters— promoting transparency and opposing corruption.
Jen’s favorite poem is Prufrock (and yes she knows that Eliot held abhorrent views. She contains multitudes and can separate the dancer from the dance.)
Taub was the Bruce W. Nichols Visiting Professor of Law in fall 2019 at Harvard Law School and is now a professor of law at the Western New England University School of Law. A former associate general counsel at Fidelity Investments, she is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School. -

Have you stalled out writing your story? Are you second-guessing every plot turn, or worried your story just isn’t landing emotionally?
You’ve got the idea. The characters. Maybe even a few chapters. But you’re stuck. Or bored. Or lost.
Most struggling fiction authors are trying to force their stories into shape from the outside in. But the stories that work—the ones readers can’t put down—are built from the inside out.
Most authors out there don’t realize that the secret to truly hooking readers is in conveying powerful emotions, not in action or flowery descriptions.
Welcome to Fiction Story Blueprint, the podcast that re-wires how you write fiction using the transformational psychology all humans live by, elements of spirituality, and the untapped power of your subconscious mind. Learn to write highly emotional fiction that your readers won’t be able to tear themselves away from.
If you’ve ever gotten stuck halfway through, worried your scenes are boring, or felt like your story isn’t enough—this podcast is for you.
Whether you’re struggling to fill in plot events, can’t figure out your ending, or are completely lost as to where your story should start, this podcast helps you move beyond the logical mind and into the soul of your story—so you can finally finish the book that’s been haunting you.
