Many of my clients seem to have the same overall "comment" when talking about their lives. So many of them say they feel âemptyâ, even though they have lots of experiences, roles and things that would seem their life is full! They realise that the âhavingâ stuff and even taking amazing trips is often just to fill a profound void with something, with anything in search of deeper fulfilment.
They say they often get a short term happiness buzz from some of the things they do, but that it soon flickers out. And then they start all over again trying to find something out there to make them happy. -
If you were a Perfume, what fragrance or Essence would you be? What kind of scents would you want to give off and what kind would you want to be perceived by others?Would you want to be a strong smell or something flowery, light, spicy or fresh?
Even though you are not a Perfume, people perceive your Essence. They get a sense of who you are but often they arenât able to describe you. In this video series we are less concerned about what others âpick upâ and more interested in you being connected and energised by being more fully you.
What my over 25 years of training and coaching experience has shown me is that most people are not sure themselves of their Essence. They donât know how to describe in a juicy fashion who they are, nor list their top 10 talents. Most people arenât aware of their personality traits so they donât know how to access their inner resourcefulness for more happiness, success and during challenging times to stay balanced.

There is so much talk about being âconnectedâ and most often about creating connection with other people. But isnât there a step before that? Wouldnât the first step be to create a âconnectionâ FIRST to who you are?
Sometimes an âexistential questionâ like âwho are youâ gets people a bit confused or somehow they think that question is too âbigâ or unanswerable. So letâs approach this step by step. Take an average day of yours and while watching the video (or listening to the podcast) follow along with the CONNECTION FORMULA.
The goal of the 4 videos (also in podcast format) in the ENERGY Series is for you to be able to up your energy levels and maintain high energy simply by remembering the various elements that make up the FUN FORMULAS. As you know, you can intrinsically motivate yourself by how you feel and think about you and your life.
I talk about LIFE PURPOSE also in this video (podcast) as being a vital part of CONNECTION with who you are and more so with WHY YOU ARE HERE. That is also an âexistential questionâ. Listen for the FORMULA!

Here is a FUN FORMULA FOR REFLECTION for how to have more "mental" and "emotional" energy now! Let's take Einstein's Formula E = M C squared and adapt that to the busy life of modern professionals (and parents).
But first off RATE YOUR ENERGY NOW from 1 as low to 1000 as high. You could think about yesterday. What was your energy level on an average throughout the day. Got it?
So the E is for Energy in this formula and now we will work on the other side of the equation:M = Meaning - How much meaning is there in your days? How many tasks do you do that are meaningful for you? Or how many things do you do that are simply routine and "empty of meaning? What do you do that doesn't make sense but you have to? Rate the amount of Meaning in your usual day from 1 (little real significance) to 10 (lots of heart and mindful meaning).
C = Care for Yourself - You know that when you take care of yourself with sleep, water, nutrition, exercise and purposeful living, that it is easier to give to others. Both are necessary because they recharge your batteries. So on your usual day, how much Self Care is there? How "conscious" are you of giving yourself TLC (tender loving care)? Rate that from 1 (not taking care of yourself) to 10 (consciously putting your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs as a priority for you in your day to day).
C = Care for Others - Doing for others, going beyond ourselves, contributing to the greater good is also what energises your heart, mind and soul. How happy are you to care for others? Rate the enjoyment level (not time investment) in taking care of other's needs, wants and desires from 1 - 10.
Now get your sum of Energy. Multiply the numbers that you rated for each of the 3 elements: Meaning x Care for Yourself x Care for Others. What did you get? The maximum sum is 1000. Even an 8 x 8 x 8 = 512 would be a pretty good rating.

You and Goals and Intentions can work in a pleasant triangle of collaboration when you know how to have then all get along. Getting real about what you can do in the finite amount of time you have and feeling what really makes you come alive so you commit to the goals you really set. When you get crystal clear on you - on the 7 levels of hierarchy - then you amp up your chances to meeting goals when you do a top down process.

It will seem so obvious after you listen to these 4 WAYS to set and reach 100% of your goals. But we all need the reminder to spend the right amount of time on each of the 4 ways. They are a flow from one energy to another to make sure you get what you want done and make things happen for happiness in your life.

We set goals thinking that working on them or striving to reach them will make us feel accomplished. In most cases, it leads to goals unreached, feelings of failure and giving up before any real action was taken. Why? Because goals are energy "entities" that can never be more charged that we are as a person first. It is always an inner game. Listen in closely so you stop giving up on your goals. Take this approach, it's the only way.

You live on various "planes of existence". These "planes" are not in a hierarchy of one being more important than another, but rather each one is equally important. When you focus for a short period of time to making each plane functioning optimally then reaching your goals becomes so much easier. This is the easiest way to make things happen in every area of your life. It's an inner game. Get your "planes" aligned!
