Cavalry FC played the first leg of their Canadian Championship matchup against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday evening and suffered a 4-1 defeat. We review that match and preview the return leg on Monday evening at Spruce Meadows. Do the Cavs have a chance? Will Thomas Müller make an appearance in Calgary? We discuss the possibilities.
The Calgary Wild announced they have found their new head coach. Leah Blayney is from Australia and will take charge of the club immediately. We give our first impressions of her selection as coach. We also preview Saturday's match vs the Vancouver Rise at McMahon Stadium.
Our interview this week is with Calgary goalkeeper Leah Parsons. She currently plays in the NCAA at the University of Alabama Birmingham and has also suited up for Foothills in this summer's Alberta Premier League. She has also been involved with Cavalry FC this summer as she has been doing an internship for school.

We didn't do a weekend recap so in this episode we will review the Calgary Wild's loss to the Halifax Tides and talk about the postponement of the Cavalry FC match. We will also preview this weekend's matches in Ottawa where Cavalry takes on Atletico Ottawa on Saturday and the Wild face the Rapid on Sunday.
Michael Harms was released by Cavalry this week. Based on CPL roster rules, that means that Cavalry must have another U21 Canadian player signed but have not officially announced yet. We expect the signing announcement on Friday morning. Who could this player be? Why is Jason so certain this is going to happen? It's all explained in our Cavalry segment.
Our Alberta Premier League segment reviews matches from the past week and previews this weekend's matches. We also discuss the fate of the women's interprovincial championship and whether there will be playoffs this APL season.

Our interview is with Calgarian Marko Ilitch. Marko is currently playing for Altitude FC in the BC Premier League and is also a goalkeeper coach for North Surrey Mustangs FC. We talk about his football career, which includes stops as a player, coach and as a social media manager.

In our weekend recap episode we review the Calgary Wild's match in Halifax where they lost 2-0 to the Tides. The club now finds themselves with 1 point after 6 matches and are 7 points behind fifth place Toronto and 8 points out of a playoff spot.
There was a lot of Alberta Premier League action on Friday and we recap all of the matches. BTB made the trip to Macron and were able to secure wins against both Foothills men's and women's sides. Villains grabbed a point off Cavalry II. The Wild U23 season continues to go much better than their senior side. Rangers dropped their matches to St. Albert.

The Calgary Wild are back in action on Saturday morning in Halifax where they face the Tides. The Wild need to figure out a way to gain some ground and get out of the NSL cellar. It sounds like they will have some help from some players returning from injury.
Our interview is with Gord Franson. Gord has been the team manager and "behind the scenes" guy for the University of Calgary Dinos men's program for 39 years. He's an encyclopedia of Dinos and Canada West knowledge and has been inducted into the Dinos Hall of Fame.

Cavalry FC travelled to Hamilton for a top of the table clash against Forge FC. It was another tight might in Steeltown but ultimately the Cavs unbeaten streak came to an end as they fell 1-0.
The Calgary Wild continued their home stand at MacWoman Stadium. The Wild suffered another 4-0 loss, this time to AFC Toronto. The Wild are now 6 points behind the teams nearest to them in the table. Can they climb out of the basement and back into the playoff race? We also include the full audio of Wild manager Sinead McSharry's press conference.

Cavalry FC demolished Pacific FC last weekend and are now going to Hamilton for a top of the table clash with Forge on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Wild lost their match vs Halifax on Sunday in a manner that was very similar to Pacific's performance only a couple hours earlier. Cavalry FC made their first visit to Montreal to play Supra and grabbed all three points, thanks to a late penalty by Tobias Warschewski. We talk about our impression of Supra, the video review reversals, and how the table is shaping up.
The Calgary Wild were also on the road as they travelled to Ottawa. They lost 5-2 in a match where both sides had a lot of goal scoring opportunities. After two matches, we are noticing some concerning trends, particularly at the back. We discuss this as well as the injury situation where 8 players are out of action and it's only the second week of the season.
The Alberta Premier League season kicked off on Friday. Jason gives a report from the Cavalry II vs Villains match at SAIT. We briefly review all of the other matches as well.
