#OromoRally in Sweden haa taken place in the capital of Sweden and the Scandinavian city, Stockholm.
The Oromo community in Sweden has held a demonstration against the tyrannical regime in Ethiopia that is constantly killing, expelling and arresting the Oromo civilians and political activists.
We condemned the beheading and amputation of the Oromos by Abiy Ahmed-backed terrorist #AmharaFanno.
We then delivered the letter from the Oromo community to the Swedish foreign authorities, African desk regarding the atrocities and war crimes committed by the terrorist regime in Ethiopia against the Oromos.
We had a brief meeting and discussion with the African desk and Department of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it was very fruitful.
We have asked the Swedish government to stop any kind of support for the #Abiy regime because the support they give never goes to the people.
Special thanks to our wonderful human rights defenders and activist in Sweden.Support the show

Leta, a young Oromo poet, wrote a wonderful poem in memory of our best singer and human rights activist Hacaaluu Hundessaa on the day of his first year murder. Hacaaluu was murdered by Abiy Ahmed's security forces on June 29, 2020 in the capital of Oromia / Ethiopia, Finfinnee.

Narobika had a wonderful conversation with the leaders and members of the UK Oromo community and the Oromo intellectuals about the ongoing cultural and direct acts of violence in Oromia against the Oromo nation by the successive regimes of the Ethiopian Empire.
Oromos has long been a resistance to the oppressive and colonial regime imposed on them from the late 19th century to the present day. Some people are confused, including the Oromos, as Abiy Ahmed was born to the Oromo family, and he may represent the Oromos. The established truth is that Abiy does not relate to the Oromo on blood or by any ideology with the Oromo nation; instead, he positioned himself as anti-Oromo and Oromuma. For this reason, six months later, he declared an illegal command post in various Oromia zones in the region after grasping power.
Narobika's guests were engineer Negassa Sori Gerba, Aaddee Addisalem Dheressaa, a social worker and PhD student in economics, Edao Kallo. They shed light on the characters of the current political crises and ethnic polarisation in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. They discussed the crime committed by Abiy Ahmed's security forces, particularly in Oromia, and the political situation in the very fragile state of the Ethiopian Empire. They also discussed the influences of the diplomatic and Oromos movements in the diaspora. They explained the pressure Oromos and human rights activists worldwide could put on Abiy's regime through rallies.

The Mecha and Tulama Self-Help Association (Oromo: Waldaa Wal-gargaarsa Maccaa fi Tuulamaa) was an Oromo political and freedom social movement in Ethiopia. The movement was primarily based in Bale, but was active in other regions as well (including Finfinne).[1] The organization was accused of committing acts of terror by the Ethiopian government, in hopes of suppressing the Oromo National Movement that was developing at the time. The Association was established by Oromo nationalists like Mamo Mezemer, Haila Mariam Gemeda and Alemu Kitessa.[2]

The detailed and lengthy conversation I had with three human rights defenders and freedom fighters from Oromo about the current problems of the massacre of the Wallo Oromo by Abiy Ahmed security forces and Amahara special forces.
Our topic was, The Ethiopian empire that declares war on the Oromo nation and how to be the voices of our oppressed nation suffering at this critical time.
The war is not limited to just Wallo, but it spreads very quickly across the entire border of the adjacent Oromia and Amhara border.
My guests were Dr Baro Dheressa, Dr Zewdu Lachisa and Dr Warqinaa Torban, who are on the front lines against the injustice and oppression of our people.
We have touched on so many topics: elections and the feature of
true democracy, culture, society, freedom, justice, demand and inflation in Ethiopia, the work of advocacy and diplomacy, drought and poverty, and the border conflict between Sudan and Ethiopia and the very active war in Oromia between OLA and Abiy and the War in Tigray, law and order, We have also discussed in detail the identity war that has been deeply rooted in Ethiopia since its inception.

It was indeed a deeply enlightening and informative conversation with Mr Battee Urgessa, who is now PR for the Oromo Liberation Front from Finfinnee, Ethiopia and Oromia's capital city. Hope you all get something interesting by listening to our discussion and I m looking forward to hearing your comments and whatever you want to say.

This poem is based on my imagination- fantasy but maybe a true story of some Oromo girls and women. Of course, this can be the story of so many friends of mine whose story could immensely tell the real feature of the Oromo struggle. It is the Oromo youth's story who were not separated by accident, but to survive and fight back the oppressor for their nation's cause. Moreover, the Oromo girls and women in the Oromo nation feel that no one does not understand what they are feeling but struggles on their own within. The idea for this poem comes from the observation and life of Oromo under oppression. An attempt is made to tell about one of the Oromo youths who joins the Oromo freedom fighters, but left his loved ones behind, especially his girlfriend, the sweetheart. This is the song or the lyrics his girlfriend can sing alone or cry with this powerful song when she remembers her lover that she was forcibly separated from him by injustice.
This is how an Oromo girl soliloquizes or monologues this poem silently in her soul with herself. This poem brings the message out into this girl's world and intends to reveal to others of her pains due to her boyfriend's loss.
In her monologue made in her soul's stage with no audience, she compared herself with the legendary two Oromo girls/women, whose story has descended from generation to generation as an oral tradition of Borana-Oromo, a sub-clan living in southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya.
#Boorgalle was an Oromo girl who didn't marry until she was 95 but died at the age of 105 after being married for 10 years.
However, some people say, #BooraMallicha never married, and she died with her virginity-#durbummaa.
But why these two Borana Oromo girls didn't get married in time was still a mystery. And it is a well known oral tradition of Borana Oromo folklore. This girl (in my poem) images herself in them (the two legendary Borana girls). But she also hoped that one day she would meet her boyfriend and marry him at any age. She is hopeful and still dreams of her lover and waiting for him to come home with a victory.
She prepares the party and becomes the bride and with her cute groom in her dream and she weeps silently to herself but still hoped that they would meet and enjoy their love together in Oromia, liberated and with freedom, under the Oda tree one day.
With almost all of her family gone or killed by the oppressors, she has no one to speak to, but she has a wonderful and sweet memory of her boyfriend that she likes to eulogy every time and that gives her the strength to wait for her lover.
Nobody knows whether she will succeed in marrying her sweetheart or if she will get bad news from a friend of her lover when he falls while fighting against the oppressor.
This poem was written in 2014 when so many young OROMO students from several Universities left school, family, and loved ones to join the #OLA_Oromo_Liberation_Army.
Therefore, this poem must be dedicated to those fallen heroes in battle and who are still fightingSupport the show

Finfinee News Network (FNN) is established to ameliorate the scarcity in independent mass
media focusing on Oromo struggle and Oromo related issues. Historically, the Oromo have
been silenced and denied freedom of speech. The successive Ethiopian regimes and
Ethiopian media including some Oromo media that promote Ethiopia at the cost of Oromia
have continued to deny the Oromo mass any voice. Specifically, there is a systematic denial
of attention to Oromo’s struggle for self-determination. The plight of those spearheading
Oromo’s struggle for self-determination has been intentionally hidden and they are denied
any voice.Support the show

Dr Degefa Abisa is one of Oromo's precious sons who paved the way by making great sacrifices for the OROMO's struggle for freedom. While he is still retired, he is determined to pay everything he has for his people. During the Derg regime and also from 1991 to 1995, Tucho was a medical director and chairman of the board of the largest Ethiopian hospital, the Black Lion Hospital.
When he was fired off from his job his family encountered a terrible and brutal OPDO / TPLF prosecutions, and today his elder son cannot hear properly became patient because he was severely tortured in prison for being only a son of Dr Degefa.
I invited him over and had a wonderful discussion on my 'MIIDIYAA DADDHACHA OROMOO and OROM-BIYA PODCAST' to listen to what he is up to for this generation.
We also had a good conversation regarding the current situation in Oromia and Ethiopia in general. (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2qEbA4sI8c&t=5064s).
In our discussion, Dr Degefa said, ''We have travelled so many thousands of miles, but the left is even more. For our journey to lead to victory, the new young generation should be equipped with the knowledge and modern technology. Then they must grasp power and carry out their responsibilities like their fathers.''Support the show
