Have you ever said to yourself “I just don’t have the time” or maybe you’ve questioned “What am I working so hard for?”
It’s a common complaint I hear a lot.
It’s true. Life can be full.
Work commitments, kids to look after, aging parents, a household to manage plus all the things you do just for you.
It’s no wonder our to-do lists are never done and that our schedules are packed to the brim.
In this episode, we explore 3 reasons why it’s important to stop the hustle culture so that you can sustainably achieve those soul aligned goals instead.

Many of us have moments when we question our career and life choices….and wonder if the path we’ve chosen is really right and true anymore.
It’s 100% normal to feel disillusioned with company politics, dogma and the “way things are.”
Which makes you wonder….
At what point is it worth giving up and doing something else?
In today’s episode, I’m interviewing Dr. Laurena Law who is a functional medicine doctor with training in Nutritional Medicine, Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine and a passion for women’s health and well-being.
In the episode we explore how Laurena has paved her own path in her 20 year career in the medical field. Navigating big questions like “Am I on the right path?” and “How can I really help?”
Laurena also shares her wisdom about women’s health, hormones and menopause. She shares what women need to know about menopause and what to think about even if it’s in the far distant future from where you are….
Our health and careers are inextricably linked. Understanding your body’s physiology and energy is the starting ground that you need to have in place before you can figure out the bigger questions of am I in the right career and the right path for me.

As we continue to live longer and longer, our careers are extending further and further out.
If our careers are spanning multiple decades it’s inevitable that we will go through seasons - much like the natural world does around us.
Knowing which season we’re in can be super helpful so that we can navigate the specific journey ahead of us as we move forward.
We’re constantly changing and evolving and this is a good thing.
Yes we want to have a plan and goals - but we equally want to flex and stay true to who we are evolving and maturing into so that we can meet our journey honestly and enjoy the journey along the way.
Identifying and working with the season of your career you’re in is something I do with my clients. I’ve seen it provide so much relief to know where you are and what the challenges, pitfalls are so that you can be ready for the path ahead.
In this episode we unpack the 3 seasons in your career so that you can get clear on where you are in your life and make smart and empowered decisions on where to and what’s next for you.

For most people “selfish” is a dirty word.
Who would want to be selfish?
Turns out, I did 😬🤭
A few years ago “being selfish” was the exact assignment my coach helped me uncover as we worked through the challenges I was facing as a mum to 3 young kids whilst growing my coaching business.
I learned so many things from my experiment of “being more selfish” and in this episode we explore why more women need to get selfish. And the reasons may (or may not) surprise you.
Plus I share more on the backstory of how and why being selfish was the exact medicine I needed when I was struggling with overwhelm, lack of time and frustration.

If you’ve ever asked “what’s my purpose” or “why am I here?” …… this podcast is for you.
For the longest time I would ask myself these big questions, wondering what the point was to all this working hard, corporate climbing business.
I brought that same chasing and searching energy to figure out my purpose and ended up looking outside of myself for answers…. only to realise that I had been looking in completely the wrong places 🤦🏻♀️
In this episode we explore the 3 most common myths about finding and living your purpose so that you don’t have to waste time focusing on the wrong things and instead let it be easy.

Our conversations about marriage often focus on practicalities, the mortgage, house, date, hotel booking. The excitement around the couple, the relationship itself, often gets lost. We are joined by Maria Kilcommins on this episode to talk about how to best prepare for marriage or remain happily married.
Maria has spoken on this topic at a recent retreat for women in Lismullin Conference Centre. Maria is a Mum of 4, married to Shane living in Charleville Co. Cork. She suggests that all of one's life is a preparation for marriage. In fact each friendship and relationship paves the way for the marriage bond. No one arrives to marriage perfect. Both arrive ready to journey together. She discusses marriage as ultimately a friendship, a journey and a commitment not so much a destination. The secret of a good marriage is virtue - the choice to love by being better, kinder, more patient. For couples marrying in the Catholic tradition, Maria talks about the sacrament of marriage as a source of renewal and strength in married life.

Are you at a choice point at the moment? Are you being called to make a decision whether that’s in your life or your work? And maybe you’re just not sure quite what to decide.
On average we make about 35,000 decisions a day - it’s no wonder we get tired and put off decisions that require a lot of thought and emotional depth.
In today’s episode, we explore how to make “good” decisions and how to practically make those big decisions that you need to make in your life and your work.

Are you always busy? A Master pro at planning? And getting things done?
Are you living up in your head juggling a million different things? And as a result feel tension in your head, neck and shoulders?
Maybe you’re proud of being productive and how much you can get done in any given day YET deep down you’re feeling like life is a bit monotonous, and a bit hamster wheel-ish - especially when life is restricted.
In this episode we’re exploring what embodiment is (specifically what feminine embodiment is) and why it’s an essential skill to learn if you want to bring back a sense of fulfilment and connection to your body, life and work. Especially if - you’ve got a lot of demands on your plate.

Does life look good from the outside? Yet on the inside you’re feeling a bit “off”...like something’s missing or you’re desiring more?
So many women feel this inner knowing but then shut it down.
Plastering on platitudes of gratitude and thankfulness - when truly there’s something more to be felt and experienced.
Why do we do this?
The reason why runs deep.
And we explore this more in the podcast.
We also explore the 3 core lies women tell themselves to fake fulfilment so that they can avoid the discomfort of feeling the disconnect between: I “should” be happy with what I have BUT deep down I’m just not.

What do Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Bill Gates, Hugh Jackman have in common? They all have coaches.
It’s not just famous celebrities who have coaches. Everyday men and women also have coaches.
A coach is someone who can support you to move forward towards your desires and goals through a process of asking powerful questions.
Maybe you’re new to coaching and wondering how the heck does it work? Or maybe you’ve worked with a coach and had a less than stellar experience? Or worked with a coach in one area and dive deeper into something else.
No matter where you sit on the spectrum in this podcast we explore in greater depth how to know if you need a coach and most importantly how to find the right one for you.

Whenever I go into a bookstore, I’m immediately drawn to the self development section….
I’m absolutely fascinated with anything to do with understanding humans.
Whilst self development is a great thing (I mean who doesn’t want to unlock their potential and enjoy life more fully?).....Like with anything, there is a shadow side…
In this episode we explore the shadow side of self development and how to know if you’re getting caught in the shadows of perpetual thought loops and feeling like you’re “not enough” or “there yet.”

We’ve all heard the term “mid life crisis.” Some define it as a transition of identity and self confidence that occurs in middle aged individuals. Or a conflict between a person’s perception of themselves and their lives as they think they are and what they want them to be.
Now more than ever, given recent times, more of us are questioning our lives, we’re exploring really what matters and questioning how we’re showing up.
I believe this is a good thing!
In this episode we explore how to navigate a mid life crisis as a means to grow and come home to the REAL you.

Have you taken lots of personality assessments? StrengthsFinder, MyersBriggs, The Enneagram, but still don’t feel like you’re 100% clear on what makes you uniquely you?
Whilst these systems are fabulous they don’t take into account a deeper side of you - your soul. The unique essence that you couldn't shake even if you tried.
I call this your Soul Archetype. Your soul archetype really explores the being side of you - beyond your work title, roles and qualifications. It’s the part of you that you couldn't shake even if you tried because it’s inherently you.
A monkey doesn't know that it has a natural ability to climb a tree, a fish doesn’t know that it has a natural ability to swim in water. A cheetah doesn’t know it’s the fastest land animal on the planet.
Knowing your soul archetype helps you claim the REAL you so you can make a clear decision on your career direction so that you don’t have to be a fish trying to climb a tree or a monkey swimming in water….
We’ve been taught one way to be successful and show up in life -- and it doesn’t take into account who we inherently are. And so if we’re to pursue a soul aligned career that we love then we need to work with who we really are.
In this episode we unpack the Soul Archetypes in greater depth and the 3 ways that you can begin to work with yours in order to get on and stay on the right path for you.

When I was working in Corporate, it took me a long time to even entertain the idea that I had options. Let alone that I could leave and do something else.
I was adamant that I didn’t have an option or a choice. And that I HAD to stay and somehow make it work.
The truth is I had the great privilege of actually having a choice. And that really is a privilege.
There was immense guilt and shame wrapped up around having the option to leave a fabulous company and role, with awesome opportunities for career progression….
Even though I had savings in the bank and could “afford” to take time out to reassess, I couldn't even see alternative options for my career because I was so fixated on needing money and that steady paycheque.
Back then, meaning and money were at odds with each other. I had to choose one.
Option A: I could make a lot of money - but the work wouldn’t be meaningful. Plus I had to work really hard.
Or
Option B: I could choose to focus on meaning - but not make a lot of money.
In any case, I had to make a choice.
These days I believe that you can have meaning and money in your career - with a few caveats.
